Lovely cottage, ideal location
Situated in northern Westchester County (one hour away from Grand Central on Metro North), this renovated 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage sits high on .44 wooded acres, with deeded access to beautiful and private Lake Woodrock.
The bright eat-in kitchen features a new tiled floor, gas-fired cooktops and oven, a stainless steel refrigerator, butcher block countertops and a built-in dishwasher.
Other recent improvements include a wooden patio deck to entertain friends and family, a remodeled kitchen and bathroom, new roofing and front entryway stairs, fifteen premium quality windows with screens, and an attic flooring with new insulation.
During the winter, you can choose between central oil heat or an efficient wood-fueled heating stove which provides a viewable fire in the main room. For summer cooling, there is a powerful in-wall air conditioner.
You get convenient parking for two/three vehicles off Hickory Lane (behind my cottage), plus additional parking in a nearby guest vehicle area.
This cottage is part of a friendly community of 45 scenic cottages and homes. You'll enjoy a quiet and secluded atmosphere while being just a few minutes' drive from the Metro North station. It's a great place for anyone seeking a rural environment with easy access into NYC. It is also a great gateway to the Catskills, the Berkshires, and your favorite ski resorts!
