Om du letar efter familjens roliga eller unika äventyrliga semester så kolla in Suwannee River i norra Florida. Ett båtparadis och väl bevarat hemlighet bland erfarna resenärer och ivrige båtfartyg. Fiskare älskar att komma till fiskhålet snabbt i NO no wake zone hundra mil långa farbara floden. Snabbbåtfartyg zooma in i den inga hastighetsgränsen släta glasartade vatten där du knappt kommer att träffa en annan båtliv. Bort från kuststranden folkmassar floden är en välkommen förfriskning i sommarvärmen. Försedda av dussintals fjädrar är Suwannee mycket skyddad och outvecklad. Skidåkare älskar de glasartade, oroliga förhållandena. Äventyrare och barn älskar att åka till Bobs River Place där vår vän Bob har förvandlat sin flodfastighet till ett naturligt vattenpark.

Staten Florida äger det mesta av floden och det gör det både speciellt och avskilt från folkmassorna. Du hittar få hus och mycket få hyror på denna flod på grund av dess skyddade status. Fortsätt i 1. 1 mil och sväng sedan åt höger. Fortsätt 1. 5 miles, sväng sedan åt vänster, gå ytterligare 0. 4 mil och sväng sedan höger på 73: e Terr, gå 0. 7 mil björn vänster, gå 0. 2 mil björn höger vid gaffeln. Fortsätt 0. 9 mil, ta sedan till vänster på NW 82nd Terr. Huset ligger cirka 25 mil nere på höger sida. Leta efter skylten vid uppfarten, "The Roys."

Enjoyed our short stay

We enjoyed our stay at in Bell Florida. Our kids 13, and 15 loved the aluminum dock and jumping into the water from it.

Great Weekend Get-Away!

My family and I loved our weekend here. The house was spacious and comfortable. The backyard with the fire ring, river and dock is where we spent all our time....truly a relaxing weekend get-away! We will definitely be returning.

Location location location!

Great location on the Suwannee, centrally located along the river. The dock was fantastic! Easily were able to dock three boats there. Host were great, very helpful and accommodating. We hope to be able to rent again soon!

On the water

Deep in the woods, plenty of shade, quiet neighbors. The two-level, roofed floating dock is the centerpiece of this location. We spent most of our time there.

Fishing on the Suwannee

We liked the house, but fishing was tough due to high Water. The house was fine. there were a couple of issues, but great communication with the Host resolved them.

Our 9 day stay

We have stayed on this property since 2007ish. We took a few years break as life happens and kids happened but they are finally old enough to go and enjoy it. We love staying here, it is very serene, I love the upgrades that have been done, all new carpeting, new bathroom upgrades, furniture upgrades. The owners are super nice, answer any questions quickly, we actually left things in the dryer and they are sending them to us. Can't ask for better place to rent. In addition to that, we go scalloping every year in Steinhatchee, a quick 45 min drive and we were there to scallop 3 days and then come back to the river to relax in the freshwater. Highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Cozy spring break getaway

Our spring break was unseasonably cold and although it was too cold to get in the river the house and fishing dock made for great fellowship with friends and family. Fishing off the dock did not disappoint as we caught several fish and even an eel. Definitely would return here in the warmer months when we can truly enjoy the river and springs!!

Great river house

We where in town for a short period and needed a place to stay after a really creepy night a a local hotel. We made a great choice in this house. The house is old Florida style and we really loved the dock!!! I could of slept out there by the river it was so peaceful. Many thanks for the very last minute rental!!

Great Place Awesome Dock

Great river house off the beaten trail. Awesome dock with all possible dock luxuries. Spent a couple days spring hopping on the river, mostly north of the house. Had to leave early due to hurricane Idalia. Oh well, plan to come back. Bell is a charming small southern town, Akin's BBQ is well worth it, prices are good and the food is great.

Great weekend on the river

Rent this place for the screened porch and dock! That's where we spent most of our time. We watched sturgeons jumping in the river while we enjoyed morning coffee and sunset beverages on the dock. We paddleboarded on the Suwannee River in the morning and the Santa Fe River in the afternoon. This was a great location for that. The neighborhood was very quiet and we felt like we really got away from our routine.

Fantastic getaway

We had an absolute blast!! As someone had previously mentioned if you are not willing to be in the woods and secluded then this is not the place for you. We absolutely enjoyed the house, the dock, and the river. We spent lots of time jumping off the dock into the river and playing with our kids. This house is centrally located to all the springs that you could possibly want to get to. Can’t wait for our next visit to the Suwanee River.

There was blood stains on the beds and couches

I have multiple photos of the blood stains that was on the couches by the tv as well as the master bedroom bed and bed sheets , Nastiest place I’ve ever stayed in.

Roy's Suwannee River Home.

The Roys were very helpful and kind throughout our whole experience. When we arrived the home was clean and gave us a lot of space for our late Thanksgiving/early Xmas celebration. The children enjoyed fishing [casting their poles out and reeling them in] off the dock. The fish just wasn't fast enough to catch the bait as it was reeled in. It was a very peaceful quiet area. Perfect getaway. Can't wait until next time.

Peaceful

Great place, very peaceful. Awesome dock. If you have a problem with low water pressure, water that has a sulfer smell, and bugs/spiders....this is not the place for you. Maybe a Hilton is what you need. If you want a chill place to fish, swim, and just relax in a beautiful spot, then look no further. We enjoyed ourselves very much and would definitely book again if we decide to hit the Suwannee again! Highly recommend.

Great place!!!! - dispute with the host

Host is trying to charge $50 extra for a cigar left outside. No burns and, looking at the picture, not sure it was ever lit. One “burn” on outside cushion. Again, from the picture appears to be ash that needs cleaned. These are the only incidents being alleged for this extra charge. Other than that everything else was fine. Great location and accommodations! Good communication with the host until the end. Get ready for that drive down the dirt road… It’s not too bad. Mixed experience.
