Detta strandnära stuga är det absolut bästa i Lake Macatawa området. Från den stora däck, det är bara tre steg till den vackra stranden av sjön Michigan. Lake Macatawa är bara ett par hundra gårdar på den andra sidan.

Stugan ligger i en privat, gated enklaven lyxiga hem. Den har fyra sovrum, och sover tio. Det har nyligen renoverats och är mycket väl utrustad för din njutning.

Macatawa Beach vid stranden av Lake Michigan är kanske den mest pittoreska av alla platser på "Big Lake". Tänk dig det här: en nationell Landmark röd fyr, stränder som konkurrera det bästa som Florida har att erbjuda, en gated community på en liten halvö, Lake Macatawa bakom stugorna högst 200 yards bort. Från däck är det underhållande att titta på oceangående fraktfartyg som reser en gång eller två gånger om dagen förbi fyren, genom kanalen och sedan fyra miles längre österut dockning vid staden Holland.

Byn Sagutuck är åtta miles söder. Den är fylld med specialbutiker och restauranger. Staden Holland själv är ovanligt pittoreska och bedömdes vara den näst mest användarvänliga gemenskap i Amerika.

Holländarna bosatte Western Michigan på 1800-talet ........ det är roligt att titta på hur några av deras olika attityder kvar än i dag. Amway ägarna tillbringar sina somrar där som gör många från St. Louis, Detroit, Indianapolis, Chicago (två timmar med bil bort), Grand Rapids och även från platser i Pennsylvania, Texas och utanför.

Wonderful Location/Very Helpful Host

We loved our getaway in Holland/Lake Macatawa! This property has the most beautiful beach and was convenient to everything we wanted to see in Holland and Saugatuck! We woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise and went to sleep with an even more beautiful sunset! I felt an added layer of security because we were in a gated community. Tony/our host was always available to answer questions and was very helpful. We will be back!!

Nice location but lots of mechanical issues

Great location, nice owner but the property had too many mechanical issues. No heat (it was 48 degrees when we arrived) and took 3 attempts from HVAC repair to fix it. No hot water for 3 days. Broken shower and toilet. No internet. Could not reach owner to resolve issues (nor could vrbo support).

Lovely stay in an absolutely amazing location!

We enjoyed a beautiful fall getaway in this lovely home. The morning and evening views, ease of beach access, and community cannot be beat. Tony's a great host and we had a lovely time enjoying fall in Macatawa!

nice house, amazing beach, and great views

The location and views are amazing. Tony was a very good communicator; called right after booking, a week before our stay, and on the first night to make sure everything was going well. Beach is right out the front door. Kids and dog loved it! Beach is shared with community but is huge and there is plenty of room in the middle of the day; in the early mornings it was empty and walks along the water with the dog were serene. House was very clean and well stocked. Macatawa is super cute with the houses all being very close to each other, but it was very quiet and relaxing. Phone reception was spotty, but wifi was top notch! It was towards the end of the summer season so house could probably use a little maintenance: minor touch up paint, minor toilet repairs, and adding some dimmer switches would be appreciated. One bonus we didn't expect: the gas fireplace; our first night it was cold and rainy and it was pleasant to sit by a warm fire.

Fantastic location!

We had a family reunion last week and had a fantastic week of perfect Beach weather. The location can't be beat! We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the cottage, but it didn't dampen our fun!

A timeless get-away...

Every now and then you come across a host who is extra special, who clearly enjoys their role, and makes you feel right at home - Tony Todd is that person. His warm energy is immediately felt and he is an incredible host who strikes the right balance of being helpful while allowing for privacy. The space itself is incredibly comfortable with multiple thoughtful touches scattered throughout. We cant wait to come back!

Wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful time at the propery. It included all the amenities you could want. Kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed with our adult children, grandchildren and dogs. The beach is right in front of the front deck which was incredible. The sound of the waves would lull you to sleep. The owner was incredible and always available to answer any questions we had. Will hopefully be back next time we are in Michigan.

Beautiful home with everything you need!

Everything about this stay was perfect... the host, Tony Todd, was easy to get ahold of and checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. The house was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed... utensils, cookware, etc. You cannot beat the view!! The house is right on the water and the beach was amazing. Short drive to Holland, which had a cute downtown area. We will definitely try to come back!

Great quiet getaway

We brought our dog, who loves to swim and play in the sand. We enjoyed the local restaurants and shops and could relax with our tired doggie at night.

Family fun!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The view is the best in Michigan! Beautiful sandy beach and private lake access - just incredible. The owner is lovely and very helpful. We will be back!

Wonderful Trip

We absolutely loved our time at this fabulous cottage. The beach is even better than pics depict. Just a wonderful place to swim and laze in the water. We had some truly wonderful evenings watching the sunset on the patio. Highly recommended!

Fantastic property!

Beautiful lake house. We had a fun time. The view of Lake Michigan was lovely and Lake Macatawa plus the light house was only a short walk . A lot of space for a large groups to enjoy. The neighborhood was quiet but close to groceries and restaurants. The kitchen was fully stocked for cookware. Beach toys, chairs, towels, and a grill were a nice added feature. Lots of paths for riding bicycles and a beautiful large sandy beach. Location was A+. Would love to stay here again!

Location, Location, Location!!

Loved the location, steps from the sand and beautiful sunsets every night. Little Red Lighthouse so close and fun watching the boats and ships coming and going into the harbor. A few needed repairs but I believe they will be taken care of soon.

Beautiful beach house

We rented this house for a mom's weekend away and it was perfect! The view is beautiful and the house was well equipped. Not a far drive to downtown Holland and parks/trails. Owner has a cottage next door and was helpful throughout our stay.

Beautiful View

We had a great time at this beautiful lake house. The view of Lake Michigan was lovely and Lake Macatawa was only a short walk out the back. The beach was clean and sandy (not rocky). Tons of space for a large family to enjoy. The neighborhood was quiet and private but close to groceries and restaurants. Would love to stay here again!

Perfect Getaway

This house in Macatawa was incredible! The pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful location on the beach. Close to adorable lake communities and plenty of restaurants. 10/10 would recommend. Plan to rent again next year!

Family Paradise!

We were so fortunate to stay in this amazing house! My husband and I, along with our children and grandchildren, spent a glorious week enjoying every moment on the fabulous beach. The open living space was perfect for our large group, and we especially appreciated the comfy furnishings when it was time to curl up with a book at the end of the day. The kitchen was perfect for multiple cooks ... lots of room to share the meal preparation. It was such a treat to sit on the deck each night to enjoy the sunset while the children played on the sand with their newfound friends. Our week was so perfect that we have already reserved our week for next summer! Thank you for sharing your paradise with us!

Incomparable setting!

I'm from a family of 7 siblings (6 sisters and 1 brother). Every year for the past 20 years the sisters (our brother would join us now and then for a night which he did this year) have met somewhere for a weekend away - almost always on Lake Michigan. We all agreed that Tony's place has been the absolute best! We rented his home in October of 2012 when one of our sisters was very ill in the last stages of breast cancer and wanted a place right ON the beach. It was great then and even better this year since Tony did some remodeling that we definitely noticed - new linens, new towels, repainting, lovely prints on the walls - just a really clean look to it with lots of light! The kitchen was better equipped as well and is situated in a perfect area so the ones cooking can still be in the loop of everything else going on. The bedrooms are spacious with three of them having stunning views of Lake Michigan. I had the privilege of sleeping in the master bedroom on the 3rd floor and waking up every morning to the view of Big Red was awesome! We spent every afternoon soaking up the sun on the lovely front deck. Even though none of us are TV watchers and never once turned it on there was a huge flat screen TV in the living area plus a wonderfully cozy gas fireplace. As one sister wrote after the weekend..."a dream come true. The weather was perfect...Indian summer the whole weekend. The white sand and blue sky and water have seared beautiful images in my mind which I hope will last for a long time." I totally agree with her words. We hiked the nearby woods, hills and dunes, walked on the beach...what could be better? We have already booked Tony's place for next October :) Honestly, you really couldn't ask for anything better. Thanks, Tony, for making this a very memorable weekend!
