The view from the unit is lovely although not a “straight on” ocean view. The only downfall of the lanai is that the AC exhaust is on the patio, and if the AC is on in the unit you cannot comfortably sit on the patio because it is extremely warm. The kitchen had everything we needed and more which made pantry space limited. The freezer ice machine does not work but there are ice trays which we kept on constant rotation. When we arrived we had a couple issues (the shower was clogged and the oven didn’t work) but maintenance responded very quickly and fixed our concerns & we’re very kind. We grilled on both the rooftop and down by the beach. The grills are impeccably cleaned every morning and are in wonderful condition, so bring a beer, and enjoy a sunset while you cook dinner.The beach area is protected by a rock wall and is pretty shallow, the kids played without having to worry about strong waves or currents. The beach to the south of the hotel is also very calm and beautiful. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view, nice place

Location is good, but road noise in the main living area is unbearable. The condo is good overall if you can tolerate how loud it is. Beds are great but shower in main bath is not because the settings blast water. The location is perfect, right on the beach!

Nice week supporting tourism in Maui.

Trip planned at the last minute. Tourism very quiet but residents thankful for our visit. Stayed in Kehei so not affected by the fire. Weather, tours, water, food all outstanding. Accommodations very convenient for shopping and restaurants. Sad the week is over 😳

Maui vacation

We had an excellent stay at this condo. It has just about everything we needed. The AC worked great . We did have to contact the people about one of the tv’s and got a very fast response to get it working again. Would love to come back someday!

Fantastic stay at this condo with family of 5. Very clean and comfortable. Very helpful extras like beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, snorkel equipment. A lot of extra little touches for a great vacation. Beautiful balcony view and property. Love the private beach and lagoon. Lots of amenities close by. Highly recommend!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our condo. The view was beautiful and we saw turtles everyday in the lagoon. The master bedroom could use a new mattress. The kitchen could stand a couple of new pans. The unit was super well equipped and very clean. Looked just like the pictures. great place for familees.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Place was great! Great location. Nice and clean. Bright and spacious. Loved having a code instead of keys. Parking was always available. Building itself was great. Pool and amenities were well kept. Beach was amazing. The only negative thing was the ice machine in the fridge didn’t work. We had to go buy a bag of ice but otherwise everything was wonderful. Would come back and recommend!

Descent place to stay

Overall it was a good stay with a few concerns. The first one is a cleanness of the bath towels and some kitchen utensils, we had to clean those before using. Missing BBQ tongs. Windows are not sound proof, this apartment is the closest to the road so it was quite noisy in the mornings and late evenings. The second bedroom had squeaky mattresses. On the positive side the apartment overall is in good shape, everything is working, partial ocean view is an awesome addition to the morning coffee. There were some beach chairs in decent condition as well as a portable fridge that was helpful. We really appreciate that the appointment was ready for checking in earlier than expected. The overall service at menehune shores is very good, the staff cleaned the pool, grilling areas and parking lot quite often.

We had a wonderful stay here! Clean accommodations; grounds beautiful; friendly staff; rooftop Easter potluck with wonderful “regular visitors/residents”...and blowing of the conch every evening! Wonderful shallow pond for children to enjoy the water, with the added feature of fish, and sun bathing turtles! My reviews are very positive, but, I do have some recommendations for the owner of 401: Drapes ripped in bedroom...and need to be updated. Fresh paint! 😊 Towels that are not frayed. A few new sand chairs. Potholders? Coffee pot died...property management was on it in a timely manner!!! That said, We would definitely come back!

Great unit if this is the area you want to be in

We loved the apartment itself. Everything was clean and stylish. Had everything we could want. The a/c was more than adequate and the balcony with a view was great. The garbage disposal was messed up by the prior people but they came right out very quickly to fix it. My only disappointment was the beach and area. The sea in the little lagoon was murky and choppy the whole time. It didn't look like the pictures at all .... but that could be the time of year we came? Late July. It was also very windy, we were never able to enjoy the beach at the condo. We just drove to other areas so it was fine. One thing i enjoyed about kihei is the proximity to restaurants and the central location makes it easy to explore the island. Also 4th friday kihei is great!

Nice place and central location

Property was as listed. Very helpful and friendly office and landscaping staff. Very attentive property management team! Quick to answer any questions and help out anyway needed. Condo very nice and clean. Kitchen has just about everything you need. Could use some more storage containers. The couch is very comfy! Nicely decorated. Very functional. They supply Beach chairs, coolers and other beach items. Nice lanai to sit on and watch sunset or eat meals. Nice and breezy. Rooms nice. Both with their own closely detached bathrooms. The One with Queen bed has nice views of ocean. The other bedroom with the two twins has no views and next to main Kihei Rd with some street noise but with fans on it drowns it out. Showers great. Good water pressure. Good height even for my 6’3” husband. Nice and lots of towels. Nice beach towels too. Extra perk is rooftop views! For watching sunrise or sunset. Ocean for swimming is walled off with rock wall so very safe and shallow. Even had a group of turtles nesting there! The grass is like a golf course! We did our exercises outside on the lawn out back by the ocean under the swaying coconut trees! So nice. Location is in north kihei so not too busy, but very central to everything and other parts of Maui. Overall a great stay for us as we came mainly to volunteer and to help support the Maui community! Keep Maui Strong! Blessings!

Great condo - clean - cozy

The condo was clean and well stocked. There were a/c units in all 3 rooms, which made for a much more pleasant stay. Beach gear and coolers were a nice added bonus. Comfy beds, extra beach towels, and stocked kitchen helped. We had an issue with the door handle on main entrance. Texted the management company and they came quickly to fix it. The condo grounds were clean and well managed. The pool was very nice and we walked the beaches. The elevator was fairly quick and they had luggage carts available. We definitely would stay here again.

Everything was as mentioned & pictured. It is an end unit which was nice to only have 1 neighbor, but the traffic noise at night sometimes got a little loud with the cars blasting their music. This happened nightly but it wasn't a deal breaker. We loved all the extras that the place provided (like coolers, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, etc). It was nice to not have to rent those items. Overall, it was a great place. The location & the value was perfect for what we were looking for.

Menehune Magic

Clean cool breezy condo located at the end of the 4th floor giving you lots of privacy & unobstructed gorgeous views of a beautiful orange dreamsicle sunsets & glistening ocean of an authentic Hawaiian fishpond! The landscape around the condo is well taken care of, the pool is clean & rarely busy, the on property Indian cuisine restaurant serves delicious meals & has a impressive bar with bay windows giving you panoramic views of the west Maui Mountains to the right & Molokini & Kahoolawe islands to the left. Parking was abundant. Purchasing groceries & picking up rx from CVS was a 5 min drive. Kihei was a fun town & super close to the airport. Next time we’re in town, I look forward to booking this condo. It has everything you need. We appreciated the starter pack of toiletries! Also, being able to travel light because we could wash clothes was also a bonus! Overall, we had a lovely staycay & can’t wait to return!

Hawaiian Family Vacation
