Bay View Retro Retreat

This mid century gem is located in Bay View, one of Milwaukee's most coveted neighborhoods. Built in 1960, this duplex is one the areas most unique & recognizable homes. Only minutes away from MKE airport & downtown, it is the perfect spot for visitors to retreat to after a day of exploring. The location offers easy parking & transit options, and is full of amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This home truly is the perfect place to enjoy exploring Milwaukee to its fullest. We just added central air conditioning 6/1/2023

The space:

This home is a duplex. Both owners and guests share a front door, and once inside, there is a vestibule where both units are accessed. Rental unit is the west unit, and owners of property live in east unit. Only one small wall is shared, which keeps sound at bay, and there is no worrying about hearing footsteps. The owners do have two dogs, and they frequent the backyard area. However, guests will soley use front doors (except for emergency egress and laundry), and owners and dogs will use rear doors. Laundry facilities are located in basement, available for guests staying 3 nights or more. Separate washing machines are provided, but the dryer is a shared machine. Two bedrooms are located at the far west end of the home, both furnished with queen beds and large closets and windows. Central heat and air conditioning. Newer windows.

Guest access:

Guests will access home from front door only unless for laundry or emergency egress purposes. Owners who reside next door (plus 2 dogs) will use rear doors and are the only ones with access to the backyard. This is for everyones safety. Laundry facilities are in the basement, and available upon request for stays longer than 3 nights. The house manual gives more details on the facilities. Again, this is a duplex, so guests have access to the west unit which is a 2 bedroom / 1 bath unit, accessible through the front door and vestibule.
