Bay House kommer att finnas tillgängligt för gästerna (efter orkanen Irma) i oktober 2018.

Coral Bay är St. Johns "andra" gemenskap. Det är en färgstark, avslappnad och vänlig liten stad. Namnet Coral Bay hänvisar också till stadsdelen som omger St. Johns största vik (Coral Bay).

Läget är perfekt - en tre minuters promenad till Coco Lobo shopping, Aqua Bistro restaurang och Dolphin Market. Tolv minuters promenad (tre minuters bilresa) tar dig till Skinny Legs restauranger och shopping. Sammantaget, om du är en hängiven Coral Bay (och många av våra gäster är) är detta ett utmärkt läge, ett härligt hem och ett mycket bra pris.

Bay House stod färdig 2000 och liknar designen i den populära villan One Particular Harbour, där båda husen har byggts av samma designer / byggare. Från parkeringsområdet för detta 2-nivåshus går du upp i trappsteg till övre plan, som innehåller kök, matsal och vardagsrum och halvbadkar. Avskärmade skjutdörrar i glas ger pittoreska vyer överallt på översta våningen. Inre trappor tar dig ner till de två lika stora luftkonditionerade sovrummen och sovrummet däck på den lägre nivån.

20 x 10 fot poolen och soldäcket ligger på mitten nivå på den sydöstra sidan av huset och njuta av solen från morgon till mitten av eftermiddagen, plus härlig utsikt över hamnen och kyla vindar.

Vardagsrum / matsal / kök. Vardagsrummet är möblerat med bekväma möbler för fyra och är utrustad med en TV / DVD-spelare.

Bay House erbjuder ett urval av interiör eller exteriör. Det inre matbordet har plats för 4, medan både övre och nedre däck erbjuder matplats för 4 med vacker utsikt över hamnen. Det finns en gasgrill, svalare och strandstolar tillgängliga för gästerna.

Köket är välutrustat med en eldstad med ugn och ugn i rostfritt stål, kyl / frys, mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin, kaffebryggare, brödrost, mixer, köksredskap, servis och telefon. En tvättmaskin / torktumlare, strykjärn och strykbräda ingår också.

Sovrum. Sovrummen är lika stora, ett med en king size-säng och det andra med 2 enkelsängar som konverterar till en kung. Båda sovrummen är luftkonditionerade och har kaklade badkar med dusch. Varje sovrum har avskärmade skjutdörrar i glas som öppnar sig mot det nedre däck med svalande vindvind och utsikt över hamnen.

PLATS. För att komma till Bay House kör du från Cruz Bay till Coral Bay (Coral Bay - Western hillside) och svänger på den natursköna hamnvägen som går längs västsidan av Coral Bay. Strax efter att du passerat restaurangen Aqua Bistro tar du dig en kort stigning uppför kullen som har utsikt över Coral Bay Harbour och du är hemma.

De förtjusande stränderna i nationalparken vid Salt Pond Bay och Lameshur Bay är en 10 minuters bilresa, och det är en mycket vacker 20-30 minuters bilresa över Bordeaux-berget till Cruz Bay, allt på asfalterade vägar. För restauranger och barer i Coral Bay-området kan du gå till Aqua Bisto, Sweet Plantain eller Island Blues-restauranger och Karibien-inspirerade butiker, eller köra 2-10 minuter till 6 andra restauranger, bensin och livsmedel.

Excellent home in ok location

My family and I stayed at this property in early July 2025.We really enjoyed most aspects of the home and pool.The bedroom A/C worked really well and kept us cool while sleeping. The upstairs level opened up to let in all the cooling breezes...and the sounds from the bottom of the hill. Unfortunately this home sits "above" the Dolphin Market which means you get to hear the sounds of their commercial freezer running 24/7. While this wasn't too bad it certainly kept the home from feeling as quiet and peaceful as I had hoped.

Coral Bay - Bay House

This was the perfect setting for our family’s St. John vacation. Overlooking Coral Bay, the house is perfectly situated for a combination of spectacular views and easy walk-ability to the small town for food, drinks, live music, or supplies. The pool was such a great feature for the kids, and we ate all of our meals outside on one of the two decks overlooking the bay. The house manager Terry was so lovely and knowledgeable of the area; she was super communicative and quick to reply with any question. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect family vacation for snorkeling

This is the perfect size house for our family of four. The view from the porch is breathtaking and a gorgeous sunrise. The pool, although small, does the job for a nice place to cool off and hang out in the afternoons and evenings. The house is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. It was great that they supplied beach towels and a cooler for your use while there. The location is great for the nearby bays and beaches and it is an easy walk to the restaurants at the foot of the hill. It was great to have ac in the bedrooms for a comfortable night of sleep.

Great Family Stay in Coral Bay

This property fit us (2 adults / 2 children) perfectly! The kids enjoyed the pool, and we enjoyed the view (with a drink in our hand :). Would definitely stay here again. Communication was great. Property was clean. And Coral Bay was relaxing.

Amazing stay at Bay House

We had an amazing trip to St John and loved being on the Coral Bay side of the island. Much more chill and our style for a vacation. The Bay House was perfect for our stay. The house was clean, well equipped, and we loved being able to come back from long beach exploring days and relax in the pool. Beth was super helpful and the property manager Terry was amazing. We had almost an hour call prior to our stay to go over all the logistics of getting on island from St Thomas and all the things to do while there as it was our first time. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property!

Wonderful family vacation

The house was just as described, very clean, and we loved our stay with 2 teens. We loved being able to walk to a few restaurants and hear the music below some afternoons/evenings while sitting on the deck or pool. I watched the sunrise every day which is one of my favorite vacation activities. We found driving around easy and fun. We did a great day snorkel charter with Salty Daze. We even saw a full rainbow over the harbor one day. Thank you for a great stay!

Million Dollar View

This is a lovely home with a fabulous view of Coral Bay. It is fully equipped so you can easily cook, do laundry, and go to the beach. A perfect setting for two couples or a family of four. There is a grocery store at the foot of the hill and 4 restaurants within easy walking distance. Also at the foot of the hill is a place to rent snorkel equipment. One recommendation: rent a proper Jeep or Suzuki with high clearance. The approach to the house is very difficult in a regular car or hatch-back Jeep.

Property manager over and above

The property sits on a hill above Coral bay and gets a beautiful breeze on the decks. Very clean and comfortable bedding. Had a pool but did not use. Terry, the property manager, helped us out tremendously in obtaining a rental car after we had problems with our initial rental. She went over and above to help. Followed up with us to make sure things were good without being obtrusive. Would highly recommend if staying in Coral Bay

Bay House peace and tranquility

This house was perfect! Two bedrooms with one king bed and two twins in the other. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Kitchen has all the utensils, coffee maker, travel coolers, beach chairs, pristine grill on deck. As per usual, bring your own cooking oil, coffee/tea, sugar, etc. Water from tap is triple filtered and safe to drink. Pool is wonderful. Iguanas greet you from the surrounding treetops. Full view of the bay and East End. Couldn’t get a Jeep, so rented a Ford Explorer and it did fine on the driveway (all driveways are super steep here) and the roads. Just go slow. I was aware this house had renters leaving the same day we arrived, and communication with the manager was top-notch, house was super clean when we arrived. She gave us instructions on logistics from St. Thomas (we arrived at 5pm Charlotte Amélie, took a cab to Red Hook, and spent one night there before departing for the ferry the next day). I’m glad we did this, as traversing St. John’s very steep and winding roads by night the first day would have been stressful. We rented a car from Island Hopping Rentals on St. John, also a very positive experience. There is a small market that has almost everything you’d need a block away from the house. Nextdoor to the market is also Crabby's, where we rented snorkeling equipment and 3 decent restaurants. You’ll get your cardio in walking back up the hill.

loved our week at Bay House!

We had a fantastic week at Bay House and can't wait to come back! The photos are very accurate -- the house has the perfect layout, with 2 big bedrooms downstairs and living space upstairs. We loved the pool and the large deck with grill. The indoor living space was comfortable, but we spent 99% of our time on the deck or by the pool. The kitchen has everything you need. It is a perfect house for 2 couples - great privacy, as well as communal space. Coral Bay is a chill neighborhood - we loved having Aqua Bistro (delicious!) and bar right at the bottom of the hill. Nancy and her husband were very responsive to any questions we had. Advice: definitely rent a 4WD - the driveway is steep, as is most of the roads on St. John. What a fantastic island - hope to come back next year! Thanks, Bay House!

Would stay here again 100%

We made the trip with another couple and stayed for a week. Second room was set up as a king as requested. Place was clean, well-maintained and matched the descriptions and photos in the listing. Our contact Terry was helpful prior to arrival and available during our stay. Location was perfect, just high enough on the hill for spectacular views of Coral Bay, but not so high up that made walking prohibitive. We walked to the market for groceries (really can’t get much closer). Two restaurants were extremely close and two more, Skinny Legs and Rhumb Line, were about 0.8 mile away. Some portions of the road are narrow and bendy with little shoulder on the way to Skinny Legs, but since drivers are used to goats and donkeys on the road, it didn’t feel dangerous walking there. You definitely want a Jeep here so you can hit beaches all over the island. Furthest drive is a half hour. Roads are very bendy and steep and you drive on the left, so make sure someone in your group is comfortable with that. We hit Trunk, Cinnamon, Maho, Watermelon Cay, Honeyoon Beach, and Salt Pond and rented kayaks to explore Hurricane Hole, and stopped by the Annaberg Plantation ruins. All were well worth it. We definitely had high expectations for Coral Bay and this house, and both delivered.

Great house in beautiful Coral Bay

House is very clean and well maintained. Property manager Terry went above and beyond to share detailed information and give suggestions both about the property, restaurants to visit, places to visit. House is well stocked with good quality linens, comfortable beds, enough paper goods for your stay. Kitchen has good stainless steel cookware and decent knives. Grill was clean, plenty of propane and grilling utensils. Bring your own foil, ziploc bags. House stocked with dish detergent, laundry detergent. Very easy to cook at the house. Convenient location, Dolphin Market literally at the bottom of the hill. Prices there align with those in Cruz Bay (extremely expensive) just a smaller selection. Several bars/restaurants also at the bottom of the hill which is convenient but live music is very loud at night and carries up to the house. My strike against the house is the window, without a curtain, in the shower overlooking the bars and restaurants. I am extremely modest, and showered in the pitch black at night. I would REALLY recommend the owners consider self adherent opaque window film for the bathroom window.

St. John Spring Break

My family and I stayed at Bay House for our first trip to St. John. It was an amazing trip and we wouldn't hesitate to book Bay House again. To begin, Terry was fantastic to work with. She briefed us thoroughly on everything we needed to know about St. John and the property to make our trip a success. The house was exactly as described and the pictures don't do it justice. The driveway is pretty steep but nothing worse than we've driven in the Smokey or Rocky Mountains. And the view is more than worth it. Coral Bay is the place to stay - more relaxed and quieter than Cruz Bay. There are grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance so it's very convenient. The pool was a huge hit with our kids, especially after a long day of beach hopping or hiking. The decks (there are two) are wonderful and catch a great breeze in the early morning and evening. Did I mention the views? The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Can't comment on the TV because we never turned it on but the chairs and couch were very comfortable. We had no problems with the wifi all week. The bedrooms on the first level are air conditioned and each have a bathroom. They both have access to the 1st level balcony and the master bedroom has a great view of the bay, which is really nice to wake up to when the sun rises in the morning. The washer and dryer are located in a separate shed right next to the house by the first level. No problem there. Perfect vacation! Thank you Terry!

Great stay

This property is very convenient, meaning you avoid the one-lane, cliff skirting roads that some properties are off of. The house was very, very clean, and had all the necessities. There were 3 beach chairs for 4 people, which wasn’t great for us. That’s never happened anywhere else we rented. Shout out to Terry for making sure we had the three that we did get!!!! Very appreciated. The beds were comfy and the views were great. The shower in the master has a window that goes from above the head to below the crotch. We often showered at night, so we ended up taping a trash bag over the window so we didn’t give the town of Coral Bay (not very much below us) a peep show. As other reviewers said, the breezes are amazing. There is A/C in the bedrooms but not the main area, and we never missed it. It was never, ever even uncomfortably warm there. Just wonderful cool breezes wafting through. That surprised me, actually. Loved that so much more than A/C. I also loved getting to the bedrooms via an indoor stairway. Many houses on St John require that you go down an outdoor stairway to get to the bedrooms below. It was a great trip, and Terry (property manager) was lovely to work with.

Fabulous villa in Coral Bay!

We just returned from an amazing 10 days in Coral Bay at Bay House. As a family with 2 small children (ages 5 and 4), this home was absolutely perfect for us. We have been coming to STJ for 10 years and this is the first time we stayed on the Coral Bay side, and we would definitely come back to this villa. Facing East, the breezes and views from the house deck are amazing. The house is extremely family-friendly - the bedrooms are contained within the house on the bottom floor and there are high locks on the sliders. Additionally, there is a gate at the top of the stairs and at the pool. We felt very comfortable knowing that the kids simply couldn't wander around. Bugs were minimal (and if you've ever been to STJ you know that bugs are everywhere!). Bay House was immaculate and well-equipped. Everything was in working order (grill, stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave). We did most of our grocery shopping for meats and produce at Starfish Market in Cruz Bay -- there are several markets in Cruz Bay (Lily's, Love City) but I was not happy with their selection of fresh food. We ate home a lot but we did try the restaurant Aqua Bistro, which is right down the hill, and it truly was one of the best meals I have had on STJ. The Tourist Trap has the best grouper sandwich and their tacos are to die for! As for the rest of the house, It may sound silly but the bath and beach towels were nice and thick, heavy quality. The beds were comfortable. The bedrooms could use a heavier curtain to block out the morning sun (we like to sleep in), and the kids didn't like the strong bathroom shower (but we did!). We enjoyed morning, afternoon, and nighttime dips in the pool. Being close to the East End allowed us to explore some of those beaches like Hansen's (Vie's Snack Shack, a cold beer and conch fritters, too!), as well as Salt Pond and Lameshur. We also ventured to the North Shore beaches (Cinnamon, Maho, Hawksnest). While I don't want to rush it, I can't wait for our kids to be able to experience the vast hiking trails that STJ has to offer. Thank you owners for opening your beautiful home to us. Terri, the Property Manager, was very helpful in orienting us to the area. She warmly welcomed us, and called to check in mid-week. She also assisted us immediatly when the stove ran out of propane (The guy who came didn't believe me that the stove had a pilot light and almost burned his arm off when he figured it out because he had left the burner on. An interesting sight!)

Great getaway spot at Coral Bay

Great location for spending quality time with your family. Spent a couple of days lounging at the pool, excellent sun exposure all day! Short drive to the North shore beaches...a little bit more of a drive 25 mins to Cruz bay. Great house, great amenities...accurate description on post. Terry was an awesome host...we didn't need anything during the stay...just full of information and proactively reached out before our trip to help out in any way she could.

Bay House is the place to stay house

My family and I had the best time in Coral Bay and it was in part due to the Bay House. I walked to the grocery store right down the hill which was easy the walk back made me realize I needed more cardio. The views are amazing and the house is fantastic with or without kids. I highly recommend the Bay House for your next visit!

Bay House Ten Day Stay

A very nice rental near the center of Coral Bay with easy access to Route 107. I'd advise a jeep for the shared driveway. We were a party of two couples and found Bay House well appointed and very clean. We didn't do any cooking so cannot comment on the stove or outdoor gas grill. The two bedrooms on the lower floor with on-suite baths are well sized for four guests - one with a king and the other with two twins that for us were made up as a king. The king room has good views whereas the room with twins really doesn't have views. Water saving water pressure is low but adequate for showers, etc. Internet service seemed to come and go. WhatsApp and email worked well on the local network but not regular text messaging or wifi calling. What could use improvement - a new ice cube tray is needed and the twin bed mattresses while ok could use an upgrade. Terry the owner's agent provided thoughtful information both before and during our visit. Bottom line - we'd not hesitate to return to Bay House on a future stay in Coral Bay.

We are Bob and Pat. We purchased Bay House to serve as a respite from the Western NY snowy winters. Bay House offers a place for us to gather with our children and grandchildren. Our daughter, Beth, manages the VRBO account for us.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We love the community and beauty of St John. We have made friends with a number of families on island and have enjoyed getting involved in local issues. Pat is a member of the Moravian church--she sings in the choir. We enjoy hiking, snorkeling, and sunbathing on the beach and walking to all the wonderful Coral Bay restaurants.
