The property could use some TLC. We encountered numerous roaches and water bugs inside. Coming from out-of-state, we needed a place that provided beach chairs and umbrellas. We were excited to find this house with what we needed, and then some. We were so disappointed to find most everything unusable due to being broken and/or in terribly rusted condition. Especially the chairs. Nothing was organized, like in the pictures. We had to dig out what was usable. We were told there would be at least 6 chairs available for use. 2 were usable. Obviously, the shed is not checked between guests and "refundable" deposit is not being utilized for its intended purpose. Host blames it on being the end of peak season and guests ignoring the rules. Guests should be able to expect the same advertised condition of items, no matter the time of year.Communication with host was not good. Up until the night before check-in, 5 requests were ignored for assistance on making shed deposit to correct payment app. Host later claimed I was asking for lock codes way ahead of visit, which was untrue. I only wanted to make payment. Early on I was told I would receive a request from the app to make payment. I never received it. We had to guess where to send, it, which resulted in payment being sent to the wrong person.I have rented for years from VRBO, renting at least once a year, and have never had the issues I have had with this host.
