Being able to walk into downtown Westport for great restaurants, shops, and coffee while still having easy access to the surrounding Connecticut Coast towns makes it such a convenient home base. In our experience, this arrangement has not been an issue for any guests, and we strive to ensure everyone has a relaxing and private stay. Because your visit was nearly four weeks long, there were times when routine property care was necessary. Had you let us know during your stay that it was affecting your experience, we would have gladly adjusted the schedule and asked that any outdoor work wait until it was convenient for you. Luke’s Landing really does have that comfortable neighborhood feel, while still putting you within an easy walk or short drive of so much to do. We’re also incredibly lucky to have our downstairs neighbor on the property. He is always happy to help when needed and takes wonderful care of the house and grounds while respecting our guests’ privacy. It sounds like you really got out and enjoyed the area too, from beach days and golf to local restaurants and the Playhouse. We only wish the town offered interchangeable beach passes for our guests! During the summer season, you can purchase day passes at the beach entrance, and from after Labor Day until before Memorial Day, the beach is open to the public.
