Make yourself at home when you stay at this stylish vacation rental in the heart of the city. This historic home has a mood all its own. Thoughtfully curated with loads of art and unique touches to ensure your stay is anything but boring. The Drake (meaning duck) is a very subtle underlying theme of the house inspired by the owner's grandfather who purchased the town of Drake Colorado in 1976.

Take advantage of the location by walking to the charming Downtown Dundee neighborhood for dinner, drinks, and fun or utilize the fully equipped kitchen and moody dining room to wine and dine at home. The well-appointed living room offers cozy vibes and a smart TV that is compatible with any of your preferred streaming services...and if TV isn't your thing, enjoy some fresh air on the deck set-up with an outdoor sectional and romantic string lights hung above. The bedrooms are furnished with high-end plush pillow top mattresses, luxurious bamboo sheets, and room-darkening curtains to ensure you get a good night's sleep. There are three main bedrooms and a sunroom converted into a 4th bedroom with a twin over full bunk. This room has an open doorway to one of the bedrooms, which is great for kids, and plenty of additional space for a pack-and-play or extra luggage if needed. In addition to the bedrooms, the living room also has a pull-out sofa to help accommodate larger groups. There are two full bathrooms with a shower and tub, one on the main floor and one upstairs. While the basement is unfinished at this time, there is a washer and dryer for your use. You'll enjoy this home's warmth and hospitality as each room offers something unique.

In regards to accessing the property, we use a smart lock and keyless entry system. You will be provided with your own code before your check-in that you will utilize for the duration of your stay.

Something to note: the house is located on a somewhat busy street. There is a dedicated driveway and a large park pad in front of the house. We ask that you please use the driveway only as the park pad belongs to the city and is used for delivery vehicles or city vehicles from time to time.

Overall good place to short stay good neighborhood but few things need to be addressed in this property, 1. There are no locks in both restrooms, 2. Most of the door handles are not working, if you try to pull the door those handles will come off, 3. Very poor supply of water , you can’t use both showers same time. Achut & family Dallas

"Pleased as punch!"

The Drake is a lovely and spacious property in the beautiful neighborhood of Dundee in Omaha. It is in close proximity to downtown, the Jocelyn Art Museum, and many other attractions. Tahnee was prompt and diligent in responding to all of my communications. Check-in was simple and seamless. We could not have been happier with our choice for a "home base" to spend a weekend in Omaha. I give it my highest recommendation. Thank you to Tahnee and AJ.

Nice house in convenient location

Nice house in a convenient location for access to most of Omaha within 15 minutes. We made several trips to the airport which is a straight shot down the street from this house. There is a big grocery store about 4 blocks away, a trendy area with cafes/shops about six blocks in a different direction. Super nice location. Big older house with comfortable beds, comfortable furniture and big TV (for watching the game) and six person dining room table we used both spending time with family. There is a nice selection of cooking pots/pans/utensils we used each day making breakfast for the group. We had a really nice stay.There were some other reviews that complained about the water pressure. It’s an old house type water pressure - in that pressure was there but not tons of flow. The showers were fine for me, the vegetable sprayer on the sink is sticky with the low flow but worked OK (and just use the dishwasher).Heads up being an older house not all the receptacles are 3-prong, the bedrooms were all 2-prong. Wasn’t a problem but you might want to pack an adapter. This is part of the charm!Owner has done a really nice job making this a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. Really appreciated it.

Close to NE Med Center

The host was very nice and easy to work with. The home was clean. Beds were very comfy. TV offered lots of choices to stream. Convenient location to grocery stores and restaurants. Bathrooms were updated. We would recommend and stay here again.

Tastefully decorated old house

The property was exactly as listed. Very clean, very comfortable. Sweet little back deck space that's fairly private. The neighborhood is quiet and cute. The hosts were kind and responded well to my questions. I would definitely stay here again.

Wanted to love it, but...

To start I need to say I own a home in the neighborhood that I'm renting now, so I needed a place for us and our family. The home is on one of the busier streets in Dundee, but it's manageable. Parking can be an issue if you have several cars. The home wasn't very clean. Dishes were dirty, there was lots of dirt/dust under the beds and dirty towels from the previous guest in the basement laundry. The showers have terrible water pressure, the owners had a plumber come out 3 times, but it didn't change anything. That was a disappointment. The space is comfortable, with a comfortable deck and plenty of space for entertaining. The kitchen has very basic essentials that you need, but not much else. Nothing high end considering the premium price you pay. The small 4 cup coffee pot was left dirty, and the other "nicer" coffee machine didn't work. They did replace that one quickly which was appreciated. I'd like to say better things about our stay. The home served us well for what we needed, but, given the premium price I feel like we were let down with the overall quality of the place.

Visit to Omaha Zoo

It was just as described. We came into town to visit Zoo with our grandkids. Nice area outback to sit and enjoy the weather. Would stay here again if in the area.

Beautiful house in great location

We loved our stay! The house is beautiful and provided more than enough room for our six adults and two kids. We especially loved the deck seating, and my kids loved playing in the yard. Would definitely stay again!

Spring Break Girl's Trip

Two moms and 4 preteens on an 8+ hour road trip with our destination being the Omaha Zoo! We couldn't have asked for a better home to call ours for 3 days. The house itself is unique and charming, decorated beautifully yet practically, and perfect for families! We had more than enough room for 6! The ability to do laundry was a lifesaver as well! We were able accommodate our kid's requests to wear their new zoo clothes home! Grocery delivery was quick and easy with Door Dash and navigating where we needed to go was easy! Thank you so much for a great experience!!

In town for Creighton winter graduation

Nice house for our extended family when in town for a graduation. Easy access to campus and downtown activities. We used the kitchen every day and it was well-equipped. Hosts were super responsive.

Volleyball tournament weekend in Council Bluffs

-nice clean feel -outlet/light didn’t work in that area I tutored in -Nice pillows and beds -No extra toiletries -Enough forks and spoons but not much extra -liked the old house feel (the cast iron vents) -parking was challenging for our 2 cars -no toys/games etc which was totally fine for us -smart lock was hard to know if locked -internet strong enough for video conferencing -could’ve used more blankets but was sufficient Some outlets were two prong vs three… Office area for example would have benefitted from three prong or extension cord to allow for three prong access Nice full length mirrors in most rooms We liked the house overall. The above was just things to note to help the next renter. ; )

Nice House & Good location

We were very happy with our stay here! It was great to share with family. Honestly one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed and they had everything we needed to make our own breakfast in the mornings. Beds we’re comfortable and pillows were GREAT. We were able to enjoy the deck while our toddler napped. Location: about 10-15 minutes from the Zoo, Old Market and Aksarben. Downtown Dunee has a good brunch spot and along with a pizza, Italian and taco place. We found ourselves going to the Old Market and Aksarben 2x for food and shopping. Thanks for the nice option when staying in Omaha!

Overall a great stay with some feedback

Was in from out of town as a group of 3 ladies in their 40s. Things we always look for: location with walkable neighborhoods, comfy beds, more than 1 bathroom, safe area and home, workable kitchen, and welcoming outdoor area. This house seemed to check those boxes though there were some things we would suggest for improvement. First, the great stuff. - The beds were comfortable. Everyone had their own room and no one had a complaint about the beds which is huge. - The house seemed very clean and as listed. - Parking pad off the street. - Big dining table. - Two full bathrooms. - Owner was willing to let us check-in early since no one was leaving same day as our arrival. Could use improvement. - The outdoor space was not really usable. It was too hot to spend any time outdoors anyway, but the furniture and patio are in need of some attention. It could use a good scrubbing. - Some of the windows were left unlocked when we arrived. I always check doors and windows for security reasons and this should be communicated to the cleaning crew to ensure those are locked before guests arrive. - If you have questions for owner, you might not get an answer immediately, so give yourself some time. - The drains in the bathrooms are VERY slow moving. Both the sink and shower in the upstairs bathroom are clogged. I really dislike taking a shower and standing in backed up dirty water so that was my main complaint about this place. Overall, happy with our stay and would stay again.
