Awesome place!

This place was great. The house was amazing on space! The view was beautiful & the animals were sweet. Definitely a place to stay for a retreat & getaway from fast paced life.

Great house. We were a groupf of 5 married couples on our annual retreat.This property was PERFECT!2 AC Units allowed everyone to sleep in a room that suited their coolness preference. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available to us. Beautiful setting. Friendly dogs to greet us everyday. Everything worked perfectly (AC, plumbing, etc). A sportscourt for basketball. Friendly, curious sheep wandering around.Glenn was a fabulous host. Very responsive. Looking forward to being guests there again next year!

We'll be back!

House was perfect for our needs. We had a wedding in the area and the entire out of town family was able to stay here. Quiet, private and roomy. We took a day to drive into Hico which we thoroughly enjoyed. The dogs were a bonus. The owners left us with treats so we made friends fast. Beautiful sunrises right out the main living area. We're planning on this property for our next family reunion.

Amazing property

This is a great getaway to the country. You can see just about every star at night. The house itself is huge as we hosted our family here for Christmas dinner and everyone was very comfortable. We would stay here again and we probably will. Very short drive to Hamilton as well as Hico and Clifton. Glenn is a great host and took great care of us during our entire stay. I can't recommend this place enough.

Very spacious

We booked this house based on room for several people. We were in the area for our son’s wedding. This was 35 minutes from the wedding site but not bad at all. The drive was nice. We filled all 9 bedrooms with family driving in for the wedding. It was great to all be together. The washer and dryer were a plus. It was raining and some of us washed our clothes. The ranch dogs are adorable. We enjoyed our visit.

Peace in the country

Lovely old country buckhouse with so many bedrooms! Our group never felt on top of eachother. We enjoyed waking up to the "livestock guardians" and all those sweet baby lambs. Our grandson was fascinated with the kittens, chickens and sheep!

Amazing sunsets

We didn’t get to spend as much time at the house due to my son wedding obligations. I loved knowing I had a place to spend time with friends & family after the event. You will enjoy the area & the house setup. My granddaughter loved playing hiding seek & the games that was provided. We loved watching the animals roam free. There is a baby sheep that we admired in a distant. The dogs on the property are sweet & friendly. My sweet granddaughter wanted to take one home. Peaceful, relaxing & breath taking view.

Very clean with tons of space & room to spread out. It was a few miles out of town, Cranfill's Gap for us, so it was nice & quiet. We would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent hosts! Very clean, HUGE home with plenty of room to cook very large meals. I'd love to see you include in the description how far it actually is from HICO. Even though we were quite comfortable, it required a lot of extra drive time throughout the weekend and really didn't save us any time compared to coming and going from our own home.

We enjoyed our stay! The kids loved seeing the farm animals, and we loved seeing the stars and catching a few meteors! The house was great for a couple of families to meet up.A couple of notes about the house arrangement that I didn't see on the listing: There are no bathrooms in the main part of the house. Most of the bedrooms have their own bathroom, but the master and an adjoining bedroom are not completely closed off in between. Also, one of the bedrooms needs to be walked through to get to another bedroom and a bathroom that three bedrooms share. In total, there are 8 bedrooms, including those listed above, which includes the office, plus one enclosed playroom/living area with TV that has futons, and then there's the open living area with a futon. (I may be mixed up on which living area has one futon versus two, as we did not use those.) The living areas will need to pass through a bedroom to get to a bathroom. Overall, there are lots of options for flexible arrangements, but it was slightly different from what I saw on the listing of what each room has.We traveled with friends, and the kids had fun playing sardines and other similar games in the house! Hoping to come again!

Fantastic

Glenn and Vicki are fantastic hosts. They go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is wonderful. House is perfect for large family or group. Plenty of room, bathrooms and everything you need. It rained most of the time we were there but when it didn’t we walked around the farm, played with the dog and got personal visits with the animals with Glenn and Vicki.

This is an amazing place. The house is clean, spacious, private, and quiet. We loved it and will definitely stay there again. The owners are very responsive and friendly.

Great House Poor Management

Not long after we got there the property owner began emailing us about a noise complaint. He ended up coming by the house to tell us that the student on the front porch needed to stop the music he was playing (he was practicing his accordion). This was about 9:30pm (or so). The ad clearly states quiet hours are from 10pm-7am. In his email to us that we received after he came by the house, he told us to leave his property. We ended up staying and he told us we would not be welcome back. When we booked this stay we told them it was a group of high school students and two sponsors. This is in no way, in our opinion, to manage a rental property. We have stayed at this property previously with no issues. We are disappointed that we are not welcome back over something so minor. The house is great.

Perfect home for our family!

Glenn was very easy to work with and the house was great for my entire family. It was a last minute schedule and Glenn was so nice to allow us to stay. He communicated every step of the way. We loved the home and where the location was. We will most definitely be going back and hope to stay for more than one night next time!

Stars over Texas

My family and a few friends had a horse training clinic in Hamilton TX, so we rented the large home to accommodate everyone. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay, we loved the sheep, the dogs and especially enjoyed the beautiful nights sky!! Vicki was an amazing host, she even moved her sheep around to accommodate some of our horses!! We would defiantly rent from them again!!

Awesome!!

Great and spacious house, fully equipped with everything needed. They have sheeps that the kids loved to feed and they left treat for the kids to give to their farm dogs. Very clean, organized and exactly how described. It qasa short trip but we are alrwady planning on returning for a full weekend to spend more time!! Host very helpful and responsive.

What we needed

Ours was a ministry event where we needed enough beds for all guys. Not only did we have room, but we also had an over abundance of bathrooms and space to do what we do. I hope we’ll be able to come back there again.

Was the perfect place for our families. We were here for a wedding and a Birthday!! Everyone had rooms and bathrooms. The sunrises were beautiful! The animals were so friendly! Hope to be able to have another family event so we can book this place again!

Quiet country retreat

In the area for our daughter’s wedding reception. Plenty of room for the entire family. Beautiful views and loads of room for our large group. Large kitchen, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms.
