Loved the house. Each room was cozy and we enjoyed both family room for either sitting around talking or watching the football games. Bedrooms were nicely done, beds were comfortable and there was a nice big kitchen. Everything was clean and Owner was quick to respond to questions....even for local restaurants. It is super close to the downtown area to walk to. Very happy with our stay and would rent again if we are in the area.

Perfect Accommodation in a Quaint Little Town

This was a perfectly clean, beautifully decorated home. Great kitchen, two living areas and split bedrooms for privacy. I highly recommend it for a friends or family trip. The little town was full of super friendly people and cute little boutiques for shopping!

Weekend in HICO, Texas

We came to HICO with 2 other couples to support and watch Songbird Jones perform at Canoe outfitters. The house was perfectly located as we never had to use our cars. Everything was within walking distance. The home was so well decorated and so comfortable. We had a wonderful weekend. Thanks, Ashley.

Bedding was dusty. House was not as pristine and looked after as the pictures would lead you to believe. Check in was a fiasco, wrong code given then poor English speaking customer service at VRBO. I would not rent this home again.

Svar från VrboOwner 21 dec. 2025
This guest never communicated any issues at all with the home or with check in. - I sent full and complete check in instructions prior to check in time. The guest did inquire for the address which I had already sent, as well as VRBO sending the house details before check in. - as to the poor English speaking agent, this has nothing to do with me or my home. I’ll once again state that the guest never complained, or asked for help with any issues from me and I was completely unaware of any issues on their part at all. - I am sorry they didn’t reach out as we work very hard to connect with and help our guests and I have always had wonderful feedback about our cleaners and the work they do tending the house.
