Börja dagen med utsikt över havet med en kopp kaffe, kanske delfiner, kanske valar, kanske pelikaner.

Bara några steg från bluff du kan njuta av en dag på stranden och enkelt komma hem för lunch. Torrey Pines State Reserve och Torrey Pines bilagan är bara några minuters promenad. Miles av stigar finns på cykel, som är hela kusten, en mycket populär helg rida.

Det är en lätt promenad till Del Mar Village och världsklass middagar samt tillfälliga kaffe. Det är så mycket roligt att njuta av en dryck och solnedgången på Del Mar Plaza om du av någon anledning en är uttråkad med perfekt utsikt från verandan.

Oavsett om du vill ha en utmanande vandring genom Torrey Pines Reserve eller en dag på schäslong, rulla ur sängen på 7th Street och du är där. Somna till ljudet av vågorna.

Vårt hem har varit i familjens ägo i 47 år och det är bekvämt. Min brors hus gränsar fastigheten och kan också hyras på VRBO # 313025 om du har en större grupp.

Nice location, family home.

Had a great stay with our family - enjoyed quiet walks and swimming in Del Mar. This house was also a great home base for longer trips into the city. This is a well-loved and well-used family cottage. I think the description and photos give you a good idea of what to expect. The views are amazing from the front porch and patio set. The space was adequate for 3 - might become a bit tight for 4 or more depending on your needs. Windows were a bit challenging they are very old and are either difficult to open or they open but don't lock. There are fans in the house, but they are very old and need replacement. The house gets stuffy and warm without adequate airflow. We were able to make it work but suggest replacing the old/broken window fans with new ones.Overall had a good, quiet stay in Del Mar.

comfortable cottage in great location

This was one of many times we have stayed in this house when visiting family in the San Diego area. Located several houses back from the edge of the cliff above the ocean, it has a good view of the ocean from the living room and the front sitting area, and is a ten minute walk from the Del Mar beach.

The location is great and the view is beautiful. The home itself is old and dated and could definitely use a refresher. Although we enjoyed the view and location, we wouldn't stay there again.

This is a friendly old house in a beautiful location. There is everything you could want in the house and nearby. Short walk to excellent restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Ocean View

Located in the very classy neighborhood of Delmar Heights , this home is on a 2 block street overlooking a bluff right on the Pacific ocean, The view is spectacular, One 40 inch TV in the living room with easy access to Netflix and a great BQ area in the back patio area. There's a great Chinese restaurant within walking distance.Less then 2 miles to Delmar race track we really enjoyed our stay.

Great getaway

This house was perfect for us with lots of charm. Stayed 4-nights and the evening sunsets were a highlight. Would definitely recommend and when the opportunity presents itself, we will return!

comfortable home in excellent location

This was one of our multiple stays at this property which, when we visit family in San Diego, we choose to return to for its comfortable ambience, its ocean view from the living room and front outdoor sitting area, and its location about four houses down from clifftop walk overlooking the ocean and ten minute walk to beach.

This was our third stay at this house - it is comfortable, quiet and relaxing, just down the street from cliff top overlooking the ocean, and a comfortable walk to the beach.

Great place

The location of the house can’t be beat. The beach was accessible via path down the cliffs and is a locals only beach (ie not crowded at all). The pictures of the house don’t do it justice. It is clean, efficiently laid out and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again.

Delightful Home

Perfect location with a lovely view of the ocean. The home is cozy, filled with love & warmth. We loved the collection of heart shaped rocks lining the front porch window and all of the art work, beautiful oak flooring & cute backyard. The kitchen has everything and I appreciated the spices & mustard (some VRBO’s don’t even have salt!!) Many thanks for the enjoyment

Nice visit in Del Mar

Perfect long weekend getaway for my wife and I in Del Mar. Carol was a wonderful host, chatted twice during our stay. House was cozy, location fantastic, no A/C but used fans at night were fine. Short walk to ocean, Board and Brew for a turkado sandwich, and drive to everything else. Hope to come back again in future years.

Great location and Cozy Home

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home. It was the perfect set up for my little family of three. The home has everything you need for a beach stay. The neighborhood provides easy access to the beach and a lovely neighborhood park for kids about 1 mile away. You can take a stroll along the bluff just a block away. There are ocean views from the living room and front porch. I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the patio. The owner was easy to communicate with and was responsive to any needs or questions. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for anyone with a small family.

Wonderful week in Del Mar

The location of the house is perfect. The ocean is nearby and it is a short walk to the town of Del Mar with restaurants and shops. You can hear the sounds of the waves all day long and watch the sunset from the patio. There is a nice walk along the bluffs that you can take either to the north or south to enjoy the beautiful view. The trail to the beach requires some navigation down the hillside, but shouldn't be too difficult for someone in good condition. If you don't want to hike down the hillside, there are other public beaches a mile in either direction. The house is on the older side and has a few quirks as a result. But the photos of the house are accurate of what you are getting. We were comfortable with 4 people and worked around the single bathroom. Communication with the owner was easy.

Del mar racetrack visit

We were 4 adults attending the races at del mar race track. I had attempted to contact host thru VRBO link about things like umbrellas....I never received a reply. Which concerned me. Upon arrival I still didn't have a code for the front door lock. . I called host directly with no answer. Host did then call my daughter , who I had shared the property info with but was not staying with us, and gave her the code and apologized she had forgotten to contact us. My daughter then called us with the code so we were able to get in. The house was clean and served us well for our 5 night stay. It's an older home but surprisingly quiet. The tub shower was ok for us, but would maybe be difficult for some folks to manage. Well stocked kitchen. Laundry was a plus. View of the ocean is great! Location was also good and within walking distance of some restaurants. I would use this rental again when I'm back in del mar.

Charming home in Del Mar beach neighborhood

We just stayed here, and we trully felt at home. It was my husband and I and our toddler. We had a very relaxing visit. The home is on a cul-de-sac with adjacent millon dollar homes, it is prime San Diego county Real Estate. We walked to Strattford Court cafe every day for lattes, acai bowls, and sandwiches. Also recommend the farmers market on Saturdays (5 min walk), and Crepes and Corks for lunch. We walked to the beach every day (10-15 min to main beach park) where my 1.5 year son played on the swing, in the grass, and on the beach. We had dinner on the front patio and watched the sunset. There are endless things to do without having to drive anywhere. Owner is very responsive and there some good DVDs to watch that we took advantage of, it was easy to cook in the kitchen, and the bathroom was really cool. An amazing place to stay, even my San Diego friends were jealous! Rita

Excellent Girls Getaway

Exactly what we were looking for! I was familiar with Del Mar and the towns close by and this was the perfect location. My two girlfriends and I loved this home away from home. We were able to walk to the cliffs down the street and to the beach in Del Mar and it's so close to shops. Great neighborhood, you feel like a local. The home is not fancy, but ever so comfortable and relaxing. Just what we wanted. You can relax with a glass of wine or coffee either out back on the beautiful private patio with a fireplace or sit out front and watch the pacific. You can get in your car and go less than 10 minutes to Solana Beach for great shopping. We were also there during Fiesta Del Sol, arts and crafts show. We used the Coaster that goes from San Diego to Los Angeles and went to Encinitas Village for the day for more shopping and lunch. We drove into San Diego, 30 minutes and Coronado, 40 minutes away. Awesome vacation. We could not have enjoyed ourselves anymore and were sorry to leave.

My Mom bought this property in 1969. I lived here for a while in my 20's, then inherited the property when she passed in 2002. It has lots of good times and good memories attached to it.
