      Detta "eklektiska klassiska" strandhem ligger på en underbart belägen 2: a radsdel, med en privat tillgång till stranden som ligger tvärs över gatan - en sällsynt kombination var som helst på Holden Beach, särskilt så nära strängen och bron!
Beläget vid 218 Ocean Blvd West, 1/4 mile (två kvarter) från Holden Beach Bridge, lokala barer, restauranger, glass, cykel / kajakuthyrning och shopping är alla en kort promenad eller cykeltur bort. Vi erbjuder också en grillning uteplats och litet bakgård område för husdjur. Cyklar för vuxna och barn finns att hyra på lokala butiker och är en underbar och avkopplande sätt att se ön.
En 3 sovrum och 1 bad, vår lilla stuga är perfekt för ett par bort eller en liten familj på 4. Vårt hem är den perfekta kombinationen av gammal och ny, med nyckfull inredning och original knutrig tallrik, så att du känner dig riktigt hemma! Vi har en sluten utomhusdusch (endast kallt vatten) för att skölja strand sand och en rymlig parkeringsplats som rymmer 2-3 fordon. Den täckta verandan med havsutsikt erbjuder den perfekta platsen för att njuta av morgonkaffe, kvällssolnedgångar eller eftermiddagsbrasa. Från verandaen finns det två underbara hav våra bilder från året runt!

Med den ursprungliga klassiska tunga-spåret furupaneler och hårda trägolv täckta med antika orientaliska mattor, "Carolina Country" ger det passagerare en verklig känsla av hem och historia. Den eklektiska inredningen är en kombination av memorabilia och unika bidrag från många familjemedlemmar genom åren. Vardagsbordet, till exempel, var handgjord av min morfar, L. T. 'Läckra Davis, från det ursprungliga skeppshjulet som samlas in direkt från ett WWII Liberty Ship, utanför Wrightsville Beach. Förutom att vara en mästare hantverkare, är han fortfarande en legend i världen av Gulf Stream billfishing. De flesta av de hängande konstverk är antingen dedikerade till eller gjorda av en medlem av denna konstnärliga familj. Detta är "old school" beach house personifierade.

They host was great no issues with her, the house was beautiful very comfortable and had what we needed. I wish some of the lights would’ve worked in the kitchen/dining area. However the ones that we needed did. Overall I’d definitely recommend this spot and will probably stay again in the future

Throughout your visit and even in our extensive post-check out text conversation re the missing beach towel, there was no mention of the lighting issue so we weren’t aware there was a problem. After reading your review I did check with the current guests and they confirmed all the lights are working properly. Ginny’s home is fantastic! It brings back memories of vacations on the shore, but with all the amenities! Everything you need to enjoy your time at the beach is here. If you are “forced” to cook here, you will find pretty much all you need. If you bring your fur pups, the backyard is fenced, so they can play back there safely!The location is perfect. Not far off the bridge and right across from the beach access. Ginny was quick to answer any questions we had, and made our trip so much easier! Don’t want to leave, but definitely will be back!

Girls get away

We enjoyed our stay, the house was perfect for us 3 and 2 little dogs. Clean and everything we could have needed. Kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely be booking again with Ginny. She was so nice and helpful with any issue we had. Enjoyed meeting her.

LOVE this home!

We had an amazing stay at this colorful, eclectic, and cheery home. Beach access is just across the street. The house was super clean and comfortable. I loved sitting on the front porch with my pups. Ginny was very responsive with communication. We will definitely be back!!

Comfortable house with great beach access

Our family had a great stay at Holden and in this house. Not far from the causeway so quick on and off the island. Beach access is just across the road. The house was very clean and had all the necessities. If your a close knit family that doesn't mind sharing a bath then it will be a great choice! We hope to be back soon.

Perfect cozy getaway with gorgeous views

Beautiful cozy, clean, comfy!! Great location, just steps from the beach and restaurants, shops. Perfect backyard for four legged babies. Decorated perfectly for a serene vacation. Kitchen equipped and very clean! Owner was so accommodating and helpful with any questions. Easy entry. Will definitely visit again.

Relaxing Getaway

My husband and I and our dog just got back from staying at this cozy and beautiful house for 4 nights. It was the perfect location with beach access right across the street and located right off the bridge. The house was SO cozy, very clean and tidy, and made us feel right at home. We would absolutely stay here again! No issues whatsoever while staying there, it was all perfect! Thank you to the owners of this home for allowing us to share the comfort of this beach house for the week!

Classic Beach Cottage

We love Holden Beach and this house really added to a great overall experience for our family! Loved the cottage feel to it, beautifully decorated! Very clean house, well stocked kitchen (we enjoy cooking) and literally steps from putting your feet on the sand. We brought our dog and certainly appreciated the fenced back yard. Would definitely look at this home for a future visit. Thanks!

adorable place

I would definitely stay again. Beach access is right accross the street, grocery stores and restaurants are minutes away. The house is decorated so cute,and is well stocked with kitchen tools,towels,etc. The owner was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. It was very clean. It was great for our family,which included two kids. You can see the beach from the porch,which has plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful!

This home is absolutely charming. It felt like an authentic beach house. Everything was clean and was very well stocked with everything we needed - bath towels, linens, beach towels, blankets, family games, and the kitchen had everything we could have ever needed. I enjoyed the attention to detail the owners have put in to the decor, very beach. The beds were very comfortable, and the A/C worked great! Loved the location with the beach access right across the street. Wish we could have stayed for another week!!

Beautiful Classic Carolina Beach Cottage

Superb property and wonderful owner. This classic North Carolinas beach cottage was a delight: clean, beautiful old wooden floors, brand new HVAC system that kept the house cold on a warm weekend, dog friendly with a great fenced in backyard, and an owner that was very responsive to our needs. I cannot say enough about it and I will certainly be back to stay in the future. Thank you, Ginny!

We are a five-generation family from Holden Beach. My grandparents and great-grandmother moved here from South Carolina in the early '60s and made HB their home.
My father and grandfather were instrumental in the incorporation of the Town of Holden Beach 52 years ago (2021). My aunt, father, and grandfather all served on the Town council and terms as mayor pro-tem. My sister and I were born and raised on Holden Beach and spent many special holidays and family gatherings at Carolina Country and also lived there full time between 2002-2006. My husband Jamie is a native of the local fishing village, Varnumtown. We have 3 daughters, 30, 29, and 14. Currently, we live on a 55-acre horse farm in Bolivia, the Brunswick County seat, (which is about 20 minutes from the beach) though we love all watersports, especially surfing, boating, and SUP'ing! My husband is a carpenter, like my father, and he works on the island most every day. My oldest daughter runs her Equine business at our farm, Honalee Stables. There she coaches English competition riding teams (including the UNCW Equestrian Seahawks), provides training for riders and horses, and oversees the 22+ horses housed in our facility. Our 29 yr old is currently in her 4th clinical year as a student at NCSU CVM specializing in equine orthopedics and veterinary sports medicine where she is the class representative for Purina feeds. She also runs her own American Foxhound competition kennel, Hell To Pay Kennels. Our youngest is a rising 9th grader and loves the freedom of being able to ride her bike or longboard all around Holden Beach with her besties! Though my mother and sister now reside in Boone, NC, their hearts, as well as all of ours, remain at home in Holden Beach with the 50+ years spent there building a Family, a Business, and a Town.

This historic home represents the combination of the Griffin and Davis families, has housed five generations of the Griffin family, and continues to be a home that embodies the essence of Holden Beach like no other. The quaint, well-kept home was built in 1962 for my late paternal grandparents, James D. Griffin and Lois Dougherty Griffin when they moved to Holden Beach from Anderson, SC, and began managing Holden Beach Realty Corporation while also manning the island's only post office in the same building. My grandfather, Drew Griffin, was among the founding fathers of the Town of Holden Beach and was the first Mayor Pro-Tem. My father, James (Jim) D. Griffin, Jr., built many homes on the island over a span of 40 years and continued to be instrumental in the conscientious development of Holden Beach until his death in late Nov 2020.

This house is old, small, and quaint but evokes a true time-honored beach house authenticity that so many of the newer homes seem to attempt to re-create but fall short of the mark.
Early morning coffee and paper on the front porch while watching the waves roll onto the beach, just across the street, is the perfect way to begin the day; or, a jog down the sidewalk or on the strand with your favorite four-legged family member may be the activity you choose. Either way, 218 OBW "Carolina Country", is perfectly situated on second row and ready to accommodate.
