Lots of privacy and a convenient location make this nice quiet place in the woods a great place to relax. Entertain indoors with a 75" entertainment system, a well-equipped kitchen, and sit-down dining for 15 guests. Outside wander around the 9-acre wood lot with lighted walking trails and lots of wildlife.

In the winter, we have a lighted sledding hill for you to enjoy! We welcome pets and you'll find a dog bed, bowls, treats, and toys for their use.

There are three large parks and two rivers within a mile of the property. Nearby connections to hiking, bicycle, and water hiking trails include the North Country Trail, Lowell Area Trailway, Flat River Water Trail, Grand River Water Trail, Fred Meijer River Valley Trail, Michigan State Snowmobile Trails and more!

Private oasis

A Hidden Gem!

Wonderful stay!

It is so quiet and secluded! It was an easy check-in and check-out. The home is very clean and comfortable. They have a very nice large screen tv, comfortable beds and a gas fireplace that kept us cozy. It was nicely set-up for our dogs and we could just relax and have a good time away from home. We would love to go again a different time of year.

Cozy cabin in the woods

We stayed at this VRBO over Christmas and found it to be a cozy, no-frills retreat that had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It was a great place to spend quality time with our three kids (two grown and one tween), and we were happy to be able to bring our dog along.The house was comfortable and well-stocked, and we appreciated the peaceful surroundings. However, we did have an unfortunate incident during our stay. While walking our dog on a leash (as instructed in the rental guidelines), the owner’s dog approached and unexpectedly attacked ours. This was upsetting for all of us, and though the owner assured us this had never happened before, it was still a distressing experience. To his credit, the owner did provide a partial refund for one night.Despite the incident, we enjoyed the time we spent at the property, but I’d recommend future guests be cautious if bringing pets. If not for the dog encounter, our stay would have been lovely.

Clean & Comfortable for Us and Our Dogs!

We had a great stay and appreciated how clean and the essential areas of the home were—especially the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. The location was private, and the property had all the basics we needed for a comfortable visit for us and our dogs. While the overall home could use a bit of attention in terms of upkeep, it didn’t detract from our experience. Thank you for hosting us!

Quiet spot in the woods, but close to town!

We lived in Ada for 35 years and recently stayed here while visiting friends and old haunts with our dogs. We enjoyed the quiet spot with beautiful pretty lit trails to Walk the pups. The house could use some TLC, but is clean and comfy.walk the pip

Perfect Getaway

This home is beautiful and warm. There’s lots of space inside between the kitchen, patio, and living room and even more outside. Taking a walk around the lit up trail was really cool. My friends and I had a great and home to rent this spot again the future!

Budget friendly

My husband and I loved being able to bring our dog along on our trip to Michigan. The home is in a very private location, set back from the road, and the only sound we heard was the neighbor’s rooster, who happily crowed throughout the day. :) The house is a bit dated, but it's priced fairly and pet-friendly, which is a big plus for us. The only downside was the lack of a washer and dryer for guests. After staying for four days, it would have been nice to return home without a load of laundry to tackle.

Piece of heaven! Very Gilmore Girl

The house entrance was the cutest of things. I was so in love with the drive up to this home and the patio area. The host have literally thought of every single detail!! Even down to a Take out menu box and so many other details. This place reminded me of the show Gilmore Girls. I will be back for sure to stay with my daughter in the very near future. This place is a perfect distance from restaurants and stores. It feels like you are hours away from town but in reality its right around the corner and we were even able to doordash and be lazy the first night ! Thank you so much for sharing this little piece of heaven on earth!

Nice quiet place

We needed to place for extra family members to stay to celebrate 2 family birthdays. Very quiet and pleasant place to stay in the woods. Lots of seating and the kids loved running around outside. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds are comfortable. We would certainly book it again if needed.

Property is beautiful and secluded.

Cabin had anything I needed. Kitchen well stocked. Bed was comfortable. Large yard for my dog to run and play soccer and frisbee. Close to parks, trails and stores but still quiet and secluded. So peaceful. Wonderful vacation

Place exceeded our expectations. Clean,comfortable and homey. Nicely secluded and surrounded by trees and yet restaurants, gas,shopping etc only minutes away. I would absolutely stay here again if I'm back in the area

Peaceful getaway

My husband and I enjoyed ourselves here. Came into town to visit my mother who lives in Rockford, and it was a nice peaceful place to stay that was not too far from her. The town of Lowell is a cute town. My husband enjoyed the fishing and I enjoyed running the trails with our dogs. We would stay again here again.
