very clean and stocked. Just disappointed there was not access from back deck to river. We couldn't fine cushions for the patio furniture. other wise it was great!

Absolutely loved it!The house is perfectly appointed and the location on the river is amazing!The location is also perfect for easy trips to Lake Siskiyou, City of Mt. Shasta, and McCloud Falls. We enjoyed them all!The owner is very friendly and responsive, and clearly demonstrates care to ensure that his guests have a great experience.We can’t wait to plan our next visit to Dunsmuir, and stay again in the log cabin on the river!

Great Property.....Great Location

You could spend a month here and never run out of things to do. Plenty of beds for the whole family and directly oncthe river! We did Burney Falls, Mc Cloud Falls (all three levels), Fairey Falls, and Hodge Creek Falls. We also took anamazing tour of Shasta Caverns which included a boat ride across the leg of the lake, a short bus ride up tp the caverns, and a guided tour inside. We did all that in two days!

Great Spot

We were here as a midpoint on a ride from Los Angeles to Seattle. The river was running too high for any luck fly fishing, but it was a great spot and we enjoyed casting none the less.Zero complaints about the cabin or the process.

What an amazing log cabin! The location of it in Dunsmuir was perfect. The log cabin was just as advertised. It was clean and very modern and overall it was an exceptional trip. We all enjoyed our stay there so much. We would definitely return.

Perfect River Home

The owner is kind, thorough, and very responsive. The home is very clean and very well maintained. The location is ideal for hanging out swimming (chilly but refreshing!) and fishing in the river which is extremely close. A perfect stay!

Lovely Dunsmuir cabin

This cabin provided everything we needed for a great stay close to national parks we wanted to visit. Mt.Shasta, McCloud Falls, and Lassen Volcanic Park were easy drives for our family of 6: 2 parents, 2 grandparents, 2 children. The cabin met all of our needs, and we loved the proximity to the river. Evenings on the porch were a delight (with bug spray, of course!), and meals were easy in a well-equipped kitchen that even had a dishwasher! Mike was clear with his instructions, answered all my questions, and helped our vacation be everything we wanted. Thank you!

Spacious cabin in the woods

The cabin was more spacious than I thought it would be. It is located right on the river and the fishing hole is no joke. My husband caught 2 fish within 15 minutes of our arrival. The kitchen is spacious and the appliances are new. It is the perfect area to keep 3 teenagers busy being near 2 lakes and the waterfalls near Dunsmuir. We had a great time and would return again.

A little piece of Paradise!

Perfect for our mini family reunion, Bedrooms were comfy and the loft provided a nice quiet place for reading or relaxing. The kitchen was perfect for us to gather cook and eat, inside or out on the deck. We really enjoyed sitting by the river and watching people fish. Easy walk to town too.

Fantastic Place to Stay

Our stay was nothing short of delightful. Tucked away in a serene location with the back porch overlooking the river, this log home offered the perfect retreat. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable. The fully stocked kitchen was a definite highlight. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. The home is cozy and inviting. From the decor to the amenities, every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a warm and welcoming environment. The only downside for us was the firmness of the beds. While some may prefer a firmer mattress, I found it to be a bit too firm for my liking. Nonetheless, this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise wonderful stay. Situated just a stone's throw away from downtown Dunsmuir, we appreciated the ease of access to local attractions and amenities. Overall, our stay at this vacation rental home was nothing short of wonderful. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient getaway in Dunsmuir, CA.

Log Cabin

The house was wonderful. It was great to have the river out the back door. The trains running by weren’t too loud. The host was very helpful and great communication when we contacted him. Dunsmuir is a cute little town.

Fly fishing trip - perfect location

The cabin was perfect for our annual flyfishing trip. Not only could we fish out the back door, but it’s very close to many wonderful rivers. Cabin was clean and comfortable, and just as described. Property manager was terrific. I would happily stay again.

You don't want to miss this one!

Mike is a great host! He responds very quickly and is accommodating to anything you need. The Log Home looks and feels like brand new! We loved the interior design and the floor planning! The place is super clean and well kept. It has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The Log Home looks exactly the same as the images online. Very spacious and has a lot of extras. You can dip into the Sacramento River anytime and enjoy it's melody by relaxing on the big porch. The train was passing by just couple of times a day and didn't bother us at all. This place is very close to Mt. Shasta. Highly recommend this property to anyone!

We grew up in Dunsmuir We decided to build a vacation home in Dunsmuir so our family could gather for the seasonal activities. It is a perfect place to gather with friends and family to enjoy all seasons.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Rafting/tubing, swimming and fishing right out the back door. A quick drive to water ski or boat on Shasta Lake or the many other local lakes. Conveniently located to trails and mountains for hikes or exploration. The waterfalls are abundant and breathtaking. Mt. Shasta Ski/Board Park is within 20 minutes and the lift tickets are reasonable without traffic issues-- night and cross country skiing is available too. The community offers scenic drives to historic railroad, timber, fishing and health conscious points of interest.
