We were only there for a very short time. But the property was amazing you get the feeling that you're all alone it is so secluded. The hot tub was amazing with the cool fall air. It is definitely going to be our go-to for short stays!

Peter and Karen are great hosts. The Cottage on the Hill was decorated beautifully and was clean and comfortable. It is obvious that a lot of thought goes into making sure their guests have everything they need. VRBO failed to send the door code prior to arrival and when we texted, Peter responded himself promptly. This was truly the perfect place to celebrate our 47th anniversary. Secluded without feeling isolated. Thank you! We hope to make it back for our 50th, if not sooner.

We really enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of things. The bathroom rugs are very slippery, almost fell. I am 75 years old, could have been bad. Also, the tub and floor in the bathroom could use a good scrubbing, there is a little mold around the facet plate and the tub did not feel real clean, but it was ok. The floor in the bathroom didn't look dirty, but it was not real clean.However, overall, everything was great. We had a good time. I only mention these items for your information. Also, we could have used some extra towels and wash clothes. We will be back.

A getaway to paradise

We come up every year to visit family, this is by far our favorite stay, perfect for the two of us. Everything was clean and comfortable, easy to get too and if you read the check out book, you’ll see everyone saying the same things.

Cosy Cabin in the Woods

Wonderful stay in a clean, cosy and comfortable cabin on a hill close to Dahlonega. Nice warm jacuzzi after a day of hiking in the mountains.

Perfect weekend getaway

You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this property to make it enjoyable for their guests. They thought of every little detail to go above the basics. We had a such a great trip and have already shared this property with friends. I will note: we have a truck and it was a little tight in the driveway.

Little slice of Heaven

My wife and I just loved the bungalow we stayed in. It was clean, quiet and so peaceful. We enjoyed one of the most relaxing weeks ever. We were close to all of the outdoor attractions we wanted to see. Peter was very responsive to any questions we had and ensured our stay went perfect.

Against all Odds - An Oasis

Despite many obstacles to my enjoying this lovely, perfect place, I overcame to be joyful in spite of missing 3 nights due to this screeed up world. I am pleased to have managed any part of my stay and also would very much let people know how kind Peter and Karen are. Hope to stay again one day soon.

Cute place

VERY CLEAN. Quiet and just as pictured. Beautiful nature area. It's a very wooded/forest area. Very comfortable and enough of all necessary items. The only thing worth noting for some is that the bed is a bit high, that without a stool that may be a problem for some. The cottage is on a steep incline. Close to downtown Dahlonega - about 10 minutes. Elijay and Helen are within an hour. Waterfalls are within an hour. Wineries within 10-15 minutes. We would stay again. Note to owner: The space is a bit too cluttered, at least for my taste for a vacation spot - more space would be better by taking out certain unnecessary furniture pieces, etc. There is plenty of closet space for storage, I'm referring to walking around space. But not enough of a problem that I wouldn't stay again.

Such a relaxing place. Just beautiful. Had everything we needed. Easy access to visit Dahlonaga. We loved the layout of the house and enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the birds. Thank you for providing the bird feeders. Even had some deer come through.
