Prime Point-Chiggerchaw Lodge-1000'Shoreline

VÄr familj har kommit till Lake Burton sedan 1943 och vÄr mormor köpte den hÀr egenskapen 1949. Med över 1000 meter kustlinje Àr vi en av de största delarna pÄ Lake Burton. Vi har sÄ mÄnga glada familje minnen av att simma, turnera sjön, fiske, Àta pÄ Laprades, buckdancing pÄ Mountain City, forsrÀnning pÄ Chattooga River (1/2 timme bort) och Nantahala River (45 minuter) och utforska Clayton, Clarkesville, Helen och det omgivande omrÄdet.

Vi höll vÄr slÀkttrÀff hÀr 2011. Vi tror att Lake Burton Àr speciellt och vi tror att vÄrt hem och egendom Àr speciella ocksÄ. Vi slog Àntligen ner stugan som byggdes 1947 och byggde vÄr timmerstuga drömhus 2007.

Huset ligger pÄ huvuddelen av Burton Lake med 2. 8 avskilda hektar och som beskrivs över 1000 meter av strandlinjen. FrÄn det stora rummet med vÀlvda tak med alla vÄra glasdörrar finns en 180 graders utsikt över sjön och Charlie Mountain. Vi har komplett trÀinteriör med fyra sovrum med queen size-sÀngar och 2 delade badrum pÄ huvudplanen och 2 separata vÄningssÀngar med 2 badrum pÄ lÀgre nivÄ. Huset sover totalt 20 inklusive vÄningssÀngar och en utdragbar sÀng.

Cabin Trip 2022

Cabin was in a great location and it was beautiful outside and inside. The upstairs and downstairs were able to accommodate all of the family. The cabin overlooks the lake and it was beautiful.

This place is beautiful! We had an extended family girls trip and this was the perfect place! My only regret was not staying longer!!! The owner is very accommodating and communicates well. I hope you make as many wonderful memories as we did!

Beautiful views, beautiful home

We took 4 generations to Chiggerchaw for a 3 day weekend and the whole family enjoyed a relaxing weekend. There is plenty of room to spread out for a large crowd. The kitchen is perfect with all the amenities. We had great weather, played lots of games, took a hike at the nearby State Park. We grilled at night and sat on the porch by the fireplace drinking coffee. It was a nice getaway for our family.

Amazing trip

We stayed for the week of the 4th of July and it was an amazing experience. John (property owner) was very helpful prior to and throughout the stay. The memorabilia on the walls and history of lake Burton was fascinating. The pictures of the property and house on vrbo do not do it justice. The place is beautiful and there is nothing like a 4th of July out on the lake. The kids had a blast. Would be great if boat / jet ski rental/use was included in the house rental in the future to avoid marina rentals, which are limited during busy periods. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Disappointed with the overall experience

The first day when we checked in, we found out that the water supply was totally off. The property manager responded promptly and sent a plumber to the house, but it all took until late night to get some water out of the taps. Still the water pressure in the bathrooms was very low and so those rooms were not usable. Our party included 5 families with kids so it was a disappointed start for our stay that too on the Christmas day. The next day, we could not go out till someone showed up to fix the issue, so we lost another half a day in our trip - effectively losing 1 out of 3 days of our trip. The home seems to be maintained fairly well. But, we found spiders in the bathrooms, all 5 kids got allergies and sneezing throughout the night. When we went outside the next day, they were normal. Got the sneezing back when we reached the home. Sorry to say this, but it was a disappointing stay for us.

Spectacular Weekend on Lake Burton!

Came to stay on nice place for golf weekend. This house and property was the main event. We all just had a blast. The secluded point on Lake Buton in a beautiful home surpassed all of our explanations!

Husband’s 30th

Had a great time for a group of 16. Even though the lake was too cold to get in, we thoroughly enjoyed the property and house. The kitchen was well equipped. Everyone slept comfortably. The view was stunning. We ate at Bleu Canoe one night as well and would highly recommend.

Ultimate winter or summer get away

This is the 2nd year we have met up with friends at this cabin. It couldn’t be more perfect for families with older kids. Enough space to spread out but the large open room ensures the kids don’t stay hidden in the basement. The bedrooms are simple but perfectly outfitted. The property and view is something to see. Could not recommend enough. So thankful to make memories here.

Great Summer Family Reunion

We have stayed here at least three times. We love Lake Burton and the location of the property on the lake is great for skiing, swimming, wake boarding and taking long walks.

Lack of communication- lying homeowner

We rented this cabin for a family fall adventure. When we checked in the cabin was not cleaned at all- the numbers that were on the check in sheet were wrong. Finally at 9pm a cleaning crew arrived but it was super inconvenient to wait outside with several little kids. I talked to the owner about it and he was agreeable to give us the night for free however he has never refunded me the money and now ignores my emails and phone calls. The cabin itself is nice but I would not recommend based on the owner.
