We're here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a phone call or message away. You will be able to self-check in upon arrival. We are happy to assist via phone or through the booking site before, during, or after your stay.

If you have any concerns, our customer support team is available 24/7/365. If there is any kind of mechanical issue with the home, please reach out to us first barring any kind of emergency. We will do our best to respond promptly and resolve any issues you may have.

Once a week, one of our team members will stop by the property to put out the trash cans, replenish our supplies, and/or restock sheets and towels. They will NOT enter the home. They have access to the garage or shed with a code. This day may or may not fall during your stay.

For your convenience and security, the front door of the house is equipped with a smart lock to provide seamless access to the home.

During your stay, you will have full access to the house, except for one of the garages, which may occasionally be used by the cleaning staff or the owners. Rest assured that your privacy will not be disturbed in any way during your stay.

Please be advised that this home is located on a rural road on an elevated property. All guests must have 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are required to access the home, especially in the winter and during rough weather conditions. We are not responsible for vehicles getting stuck or having issues accessing the property. Thanks for your understanding!

During Summer - It is uncommon for mountain homes to have AC. The home does not have AC but has various windows that can be opened with ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living areas.

During Winter - Winter snowfall can vary during the winter months. For guests staying from late October through late April, AN AWD OR 4WD VEHICLE IS REQUIRED. Most winter storms will provide about 5" of snow at one time. Our driveway is steep and can be problematic for cars not properly equipped to handle snow. The neighborhood roads and driveway are regularly plowed as needed during the winter months.

During icy, wet, or slippery weather conditions, please use extra caution when walking on the exterior stairs, patio deck, and on walkways. We are not responsible for any injuries or accidents resulting from slips or falls on the property. However, we will do our best to keep the driveway, stairs, and home entrances cleared and safe for all of our guests.

Perched on a secluded hilltop with sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains, this three-story log chalet invites you to experience quiet mornings with alpine light streaming through tall windows and evenings gathered by the fire after a day outdoors. Surrounded by evergreens on 20 private acres, the cabin balances rustic charm with modern comfort, offering a serene base close to both Fairplay and Breckenridge.

Sleeping arrangements
The home sleeps up to 13 guests across four bedrooms. On the main floor, two king bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub-shower combo and stone vanity. The loft master suite features vaulted ceilings, a king bed plus an extra twin, a 60-inch smart TV, mountain views, and a private ensuite bath. On the lower level, a bunk room with twin-over-twin and twin-over-queen bunks sits next to a third bathroom with a bath-shower combo.

Living spaces
A sunroom provides a cozy spot for morning coffee or reading, while the main living area offers a plush sectional, 65-inch smart TV, freestanding wood-burning fireplace, and board games. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the outdoors in, creating a bright and welcoming gathering space.

Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen includes a 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishwasher, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, hot water kettle, and cooking basics. A six-seat dining table and five-seat breakfast bar provide room for group meals.

Outdoor living
Step out onto the spacious log deck to enjoy mountain air, wildlife sightings, and starlit skies. A BBQ grill and picnic seating are available from May through October. Patio furniture is stored away in winter, though the views remain year-round.

Amenities
The cabin is pet-friendly and equipped with Starlink WiFi, a dedicated workspace, washer and dryer, heating, ceiling fan, TV, and board games. Bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and fresh towels. Bed linens, extra pillows, and blankets are provided, along with room-darkening shades. Safety features include exterior security cameras, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit. Parking includes a one-car garage with additional covered space.

Neighborhood
Located just nine minutes from Fairplay and about forty minutes from Breckenridge, the property offers easy access to historic sites, local restaurants, and endless outdoor activities. Explore nearby trails at Reinecker Ridge and Sheep Mountain, ski at Breckenridge, Keystone, or Copper, or visit hot springs in Buena Vista. After a day of adventure, return to the chalet to relax by the fire or gaze at the star-filled sky.

This pet-friendly retreat combines quiet seclusion with proximity to mountain towns and activities, making it an inviting space for families, friends, and travelers seeking both comfort and connection to the outdoors.

BRINGING YOUR FURRY FRIEND?
Let us know a little about your dog(s) and we should be able to accommodate with an adjustment to our cleaning fee. $100 cleaning fee per dog, maximum two dogs only. Sorry, no cats permitted.

Kindly note that smoking of any kind is forbidden inside AND outside the home and will result in a minimum fine of $650.

For added security, we have cameras on the outside of the property. There are absolutely no cameras inside the home.

The house sits at roughly 10,000 ft elevation and cell service may be spotty in the mountains. To ensure that you have access to important information, it is best to have a screenshot or printout of your check-in instructions and directions to the property.
