We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at this serene VRBO in Evergreen, Colorado. The mountain location is gorgeous, and the host was exceptionally responsive, making our trip seamless. The kitchen was remarkably well-equipped, even stocked with essential oils and spices.A few helpful details for future guests:Staircase Design: The main bedrooms are on the second floor, reached via a winder-style staircase with narrow, pie-shaped treads. Navigating these with luggage can be challenging for anyone with mobility or knee issues.Warm Weather & AC: As noted in the listing, the home does not have air conditioning. On warm summer days in the mid-80s, the interior warms up and takes several hours to cool down once evening temperatures drop into the 60s.High Altitude: At over 7,000 feet, the elevation can be an adjustment. We experienced mild symptoms like fatigue, loss of appetite, and trouble sleeping. Consider picking up local canned oxygen or pacing your ascent if you're coming from lower elevations.Overall, it's a lovely, well-equipped property with fantastic hosts. As long as you are prepared for mountain stairs and high altitude, it makes a wonderful base for a Colorado getaway!
