Best VRBO Ive stayed in

The place was beautiful, big, with lots to explore. Make sure to check out the third floor terrace with views of the sunset and ocean as well as the gorgeous gardens. Everyone had a fantastic room with its own bathroom. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

This is our go to place when visiting Vieques . Great walkability to the restaurants on the Boardwalk and several beaches . We always look forward to our next stay here and the owner, Charles , is an amazing host that is thoughtful and intuitive .

Gorgeous property!

This a great rental for a large group. Everyone has their own bathroom and there is plenty of room for relaxing. The view from the top floor is 360 and you can see the ocean. Property manager was responsive and check out was easy. AC was nice and cool.

Amazing property

If you are staying in Vieques, this is the best place on the island. The property is beautiful! The owner responded very quickly to all my questions. I can’t wait to come back. Very easy check in and checkout process. Plenty beach chairs, umbrellas and other items for the beach. The view at sunset from the 3rd floor was beautiful. Three of the rooms have their own room PIN codes. Our guests in those three rooms said it felt like their own hotel suit each. The rooms in the house were very nice too. Comfortable beds and pillows.

Our magical home away from home twice a year

We love walkable areas for shopping and restaurants and this location is the best. This is great place to stay with family in main home and guests in the apartments around the pool in this meticulously maintained compound . Great pool and we get to walk to our favorite restaurants on the island . There are several hidden beaches an easy walk down the hill. I am Taxi +1 (787) 909-4921 Is always ontime and can take you to places outside of walkable range ( Tin Box ).

Beautiful accommodations!

This property is lovely. We stayed with our adult children and the setup was perfect. The architecture is very cool and functional. Kitchens are outfitted with high quality supplies. The gardens are lovely. Bedding was very comfortable. All around one of the best places we’ve stayed. It is right in a residential neighborhood so you’ll hear the local noise (roosters, cars) but nothing that kept any of us from getting great sleep. There were some people around doing work on the property who were very pleasant - said hello and then went on with their business- very unobtrusive. We hope to be back. Thank you!

Absolutely an unbelievable experience!

I cannot even put into words how amazing our stay and experience was at Charles' home! It is by far the most gorgeous and thoughtful designed home I've ever stayed in. The photos on the listing are great, but they don't do this home justice, as it's even better when you see it in person. I stayed there with my wife, 4 teen kids, and two members of our extended family, and every one of us was blown away when we arrived! Charles actually met us there when we checked in, and he could not have been a more accommodating and responsive host. We would not hesitate to go back, and if you don't end up making plans to stay there yourself, you'll be missing out on an opportunity if a lifetime!

Just WOW! Our stay at this property could not have been any better. We were impressed by the beautiful architecture, lush well kept gardens, panoramic views from the upper floors, and the great communication, responsiveness and helpfulness of our host. The attention to detail was everywhere you looked - from the thoughtful welcome gift to the well stocked kitchens (indoor and out), all the beach gear, the comfortable bedding and the great towels (both beach and bath). The photos really can't do this place justice. We were traveling with my brother and sister-in-law and our 4 grown kids. We travel together every year and we cannot wait to return to this property. We are in love with Vieques and the town of La Esperanza in particular. The location of this property was walking distance to restaurants and small grocery. Shout out to our host Charles and his amazing crew that did everything possible to make our stay fabulous!

Amazing home, amazing island

We appear to be the first people to rent this one of a kind Vieques property. The house is exceptional. Beautiful and eco minded design that attends to almost every detail. The views are wonderful and the home is appointed with high end everything. We especially liked the comfy beds, great cooking appliances and beach gear. You will love the top party deck, abundant fruit trees and easy walking to town. The house is so new that many items were still in their packaging and some decor and items are still being installed. Currently no TVs in bedrooms (not that we minded) but you can tell they are going to be installed soon. Bikes were also not available yet. We had 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids). The place easily sleeps 6-7 but there are only 2 bedrooms in the main house and the 3rd (just a bedroom with bath) is accessed via the courtyard. Charles is a super helpful host. The island exceeded expectations for everyone in our group. The beaches and bio bay are a must. The new fast ferry to and from the island is a big improvement, but it is still unreliable and is very difficult to get accurate information on.

Absolutely will come back!

The property was absolutely beautiful and amazing! The landscaping is the first thing we noticed from the outside and once we entered the premises, we were greeted by lush gardens. There are tons of fruits trees and we personally enjoyed eating the acerolas, pomegranates, avocados, star fruit, and even had bananas! The grounds were quite ideal and the outdoor living area made you not want to leave the property. We spent most of our time between the outdoor couches or hammocks, the outdoor kitchen/bar area, and the pool. The architecture of the property itself was quite appealing. I felt like I was in a Dr Seuss-type house because there were no true right-angles; all walls were rounded at the corners. The ACs in the bedrooms worked well, there were no bugs in the house, the decor was simple but just right. There are a couple of things that are noteworthy for any future traveler/s. The host books the rooms based upon the number of guests you have so you may not have the entire house. If your group is 1-2 people, you're assigned 1 room; 3-4 people, 2 rooms, 5-6 people, 3 rooms, 7-8 people, 4 rooms, and 9-10 people, 5 rooms. We had a group of 6 adults and my 3 kids were not there the entire time. I thought we had the entire house. I called Charlie, the host, and explained our situation. He accommodated us with no issues and we paid to have the entire house. So, if you expect to have the entire house, be clear in stating as much. The 2nd thing is extremely minor. We are a Puerto Rican family so we like to cook and when we cook, we almost always use a caldero (large cooking pot). There was no caldero in the house and had to make due. Otherwise, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. My family immensely enjoyed our stay and will definitely return! My aunt (not in attendance) was so impressed by the pictures and videos we shared that she has decided that she would like to stay at La Casona Blanca next year. Lastly, the staff were extremely helpful and attentive and went about their duties without trying to disturb us. I love the fact they greeted us each morning with a "Buen dia" as they passed by us. La Casona Blanca will not disappoint and will meet your every expectation. I didn't even mention the 3rd floor area with it's amazing views of the Caribbean Sea; take in a sunset or sunrise while you're there! Disfruten!

This house is perfectly located in the neighborhood of Esperanza. Everything you could need was in walking distance: restaurants, grocery, liquor store, beaches, excursions. Super safe. Great for large groups. Charles is an amazing host! Highly recommend.

Vieques Views & Family Time

Our trip was amazing. Charles, the owner, offered to leave the car we rented from him at the ferry so from the moment we arrived, we started to settle into Vieques. The house is nestled in a neighborhood, in walking distance to a mini market and multiple waterfront restaurants, yet it offers complete privacy, breathtaking views and beautiful amenities. Every bedroom has an en suite and is perfectly appointed and air conditioned. It was like being in a private resort. We didn’t need to leave, but then we would have missed the many incredible beaches just minutes away. All of the beach gear you need is provided, as well as bath and pool towels. Charles is there to offer any recommendations you need, and is super responsive. The caretakers of the property come each day and quietly care of the fruit trees and herbs planted behind the house (our young and adult kids just loved checking out the plants and we even sampled a few fruits). We suggest booking the inexpensive ferry in advance online, and be aware that the ferries with cargo are just over an hour. The fast ferry is closer to 40 minutes. We booked Ray’s Taxi service ahead of our travels to get from San Juan to the ferry, and they were reasonable, communicative and timely. The bioluminescent bay tour was wonderful, and we actually walked to the meet up spot. We also enjoyed the quick ride and shady hike to black sand beach for a short morning activity. We cannot wait to visit in the future!

Great experience

I have nothing but great things to say about this property. It was a mini-resort with all the bedrooms having their own bathroom. The majority of the bedrooms had an outside entrance. The grounds were very well maintained and we enjoyed the outdoor kitchen/bar. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. While the house was walkable to downtown Esperanza, we drove most of the time. Location was central to downtown and all the beaches. Everything was within 20 minutes. Grocery store 2 min drive. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Yearly paradise visit

What can we say about our gracious thoughtful host and this amazing property . It is thoughtfully stocked with anything and everything you will needFor the week . The grounds are immaculate and offer edible . Easy walk to the restaurants in Esperanza. Pool and grounds are maintained daily . We always look forward to our next return . The layout between the main house and poolside bedrooms makes it easy to blend large groups or two families .

Love this property in Beautiful Vieques!

Our group of friends were at La Casona Blanca for twelve nights in January, 2025. The property is even nicer than the pictures in VRBO. The place is spectacular, clean and comfortable and stocked with everything we needed for a great Vieques vacation. Charles was around to answer questions and the pool was cleaned and property maintained while we were there. My husband and I have vacationed in Vieques a few times and we enjoyed sharing the island with friends at this gorgeous property. The separate bedrooms and bathrooms made it very nice for a group of unrelated friends. (I counted ten showers, two outdoors) We were able to walk into Esperanza or to the nearby beaches. We also rented a vehicle from the owner. It doesn’t get much better than a vacation in Vieques visiting the pristine beaches and relaxing at the amazing La Casona Blanca.
