Welcome To Rising On Main - Suite 200!

Located on Main Street in the heart of Blowing Rock, it is a short, easy walk to shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, the town park, the Glen Burnie Trail and Waterfall, the town swimming pool, and much more. Walk to Music on the Lawn on Friday evenings. Walk to regular events such as Art in the Park, the Downtown Farmers Market, and outdoor concerts in the town park. Come for popular events like the annual Wine Festival, Symphony by the Lake at Chetola, all the parades, and holiday festivals throughout the year.

Rising On Main Suite 200 has a bright, open living space with upscale, comfortable furniture and decor surrounding the big screen TV with a spacious, well-stocked kitchen. There is a king bedroom with a TV and a queen bedroom with a TV. The front deck, shared with Rising on Main-Suite 210, has a table and chairs looking over downtown Blowing Rock.

Although a single-level condo, it is on the upper level of the building with a business below. The front door is up a stairway in front of the parking spaces. Even while located on Main Street in the downtown business district, this is a relatively quiet block because it has separation from the two restaurants on either side and is set back off of the road a little bit, on the outside of a definitive curve, at one end of the main strip. Also available is the other second-level condo, Rising on Main Suite 210.

Noise Was Miserable

The location of the property relative to downtown Blowing Rock was as advertised and excellent. We were able to walk next door for a nice meal at the Speckled Trout and peruse the shops during the day. We stayed two nights (Thursday and Friday). Both nights the guests in the accompanying unit (same property) were loud, heavily drinking and disruptive into the early hours of the morning. None in our family received any rest the entire stay. Both units are located upstairs above an outdoor Outfitters store and are accessed through a common door and hallway, which presented its own noise management challenges. The Outfitters store starts in the dark early hours of the morning with excursions being organized. We were awoken at 6:00am both mornings with loud beating music, loud talking and banging going on below us as the excursions were brought together. All-in-all, a miserable stay.

Unpleasant Experience

We arrived on Friday happy to find a clean and cute property in a great location. But around 11:00PM 3 men began banging on our windows and trying to kick the outer door in. We called the police and hid in a back bedroom. Once police arrived, I was asked to go to the outer door to speak to an officer & observed that the door had been dented. I informed the officer I would prefer the men not be allowed to enter the property as we felt unsafe. Neither the officer, the men or myself were able to get a hold with anyone from management with the rental company. Because the men had calmed down & had an email with the property code the officer allowed them to enter the property. The men stated that the key pad on the outer door was not working due to a dead battery. My sisters and I were upset that the men were allowed to enter the property and out of concern for our safety, barricaded the door to our unit with furniture that night. On Saturday morning, a maintenance guy arrived and I spoke on the phone with a manager. He apologized and informed me that he would be asking the men to leave that day, giving them a full refund. We felt relieved but then we got a call from someone saying they did not have grounds to remove the men from the property. We spent our stay trying to avoid the men who would glare at us through our windows. It was scary and extremely unpleasant. We left feeling that rental money was more important to Carolina Cabin Rentals than the safety of their renters!

Perfect location

Really enjoyed our stay in Blowing Rock. The location was close to everything. The apartment itself was very clean and well stocked. Looks brand new. The beds were very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.

Mountain getaway

We come up to Blowing Rock often with my wife and 2 boys who love Tweetsie. This was a great place that is walking distance to just about everything you need. One of the best places we have stayed yet. Definitely recommend it

Mixed Feelings: Cute place, great location, missing essentials for the $$.

Cute place, cute decor, amazing location, but no access to washer and dryer although pictured. Having to drive to a laundromat in Boone was very inconvenient. No ice maker in fridge, nor ice trays to make ice. Beds only had one fitted sheet, top sheet and thin blanket. No comforter. Taking a shower was very stuffy without a fan. Trucks and cars were very loud on the road early morning, so if your looking to sleep past 7am, this place isnt for you. We had a nice stay, very cozy, and there is plenty of food and activities to walk to, but given the overnight charge including fees which doubled the price, I expected more. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again. Sorry.

Absolutely amazing

We spent a great time at Blowing Rocks. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and brand new. The location is amazing, we loved everything and the communication was great as well!
