Kiawah Island är en barriär ö som ligger ca 20 miles söder om den historiska staden Charleston. Kiawah har tio miles av ofördärvade stränder och fem världsklass golfbanor, inklusive den berömda Ocean Course. Ön erbjuder också över 30 miles av asfalterade fritid spår, tennis, och massor av familjeaktiviteter.

Vårt hem var helt ny i april 2001. Funktioner inkluderar en öppen planlösning med en två våningar stora rum, trägolv i hela vardagsrummet, matta sovrum och badrum kakel. Köket är välfylld med redskap och apparater, och sänglinne och handdukar tillhandahålls. Det finns takfläktar i hela huset, inklusive fram och bak verandor.

Njut av din morgon kopp kaffe i en av de bekväma gungstolar på verandan. Tillbringa eftermiddagen på den stora, välmöblerade tillbaka veranda, som också har en skärmad-in-området. Hela familjen kommer att kunna dra nytta av den uppvärmda poolen (april till slutet av oktober), och om du väljer att tillbringa dagen på stranden, är det en 13 minuters promenad eller en sju-minuters cykeltur. Du kan skölja bort sanden i utomhusdusch när du kommer tillbaka!

Den första våningen har en master svit (king size-säng) med eget badrum som har en jacuzzi och separat duschkabin. Också på första våningen finns ett sovrum (dubbelsäng) med privat badrum. Flytta in i två våningar foajén och uppför trapporna, och du hittar ytterligare två sovrum (queen size-säng, två dubbel-size sängar) som var och en har sina egna badrum och privata balkonger med utsikt över poolen.

Om du är intresserad av underhållning, alla 4 sovrum har kabel-TV och befälhavaren har också en videobandspelare. De två våningar stora rum har en kabel-TV med DVD / video, stereo, CD-växlare och surroundljud i nedre nivå med högtalare för akterdäck. Den öppna planlösningen ger ett jämnt flöde genom hela och gör det lätt att umgås oavsett vilken rum i huset du befinner dig i. Ha en sittande middag med din familj vid matbordet med plats för tio.

Comfortable Home with nice Pool

We were 6 adults and one 3 year old. Pool was lovely and Home layout was nice. Strongly suggest bicycle rentals for getting around the island and to the beach. Note there is no street parking to beach access points. Another suggestion is to play other courses than Ocean Course..have a lunch at Ryder Cup at Ocean Course on the porch. All Kiawahs golf courses are beautiful and well maintained and you can play 2 courses for one time at the Ocean Course.

The perfect spring break

Storm Debby did not deny us a good time

Second stay at this user friendly property. Well supplied kitchen, baths, and bar setup with ice maker. Pool allowed us some time to swim even with the rain. We hit the beach every day, tropical storm or not. Did the easy ride down Alley of the Oaks in the rain.

Great family escape

Really enjoyed 5 days on Kiawah Island with my family. Staying at the house was especially nice to have our own space and kids really took advantage of the heated pool. House was as advertised and communication with the owner was great. Ran into one little issue with the pool heater and the owner called me right back and resolved the issue in minutes. Would have no issues renting again in the future.

Perfect Stay for Families

We had a wonderful stay as a family of 6. The kitchen had everything we needed, the house was the location we wanted for beach access, and having the heated pool was a huge bonus. We loved the outdoor space and the extra toys for the kids was very nice to have access to. We had to get in touch with the owner while we there and the communication was fast and easy. He also answered with recommendations for Easter dinner options before our stay!

Family vacation

Had a wonderful stay on Kiawah, we loved every moment,this house is perfect for our family, very spacious and nice layout.Perfect location,easily accessed biking/walking trails well equipped, clean. The common area was a great place for meals, games and hanging out with family. We enjoyed the lovely porches.The pool was super fun enjoyed by all, super clean, heated , nice private setting with plenty seating. Very kind, friendly, quick to respond owners! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Beautiful peaceful house

We were so excited about this house. It was just as pictured and much much more. Not only were rooms comfortable but they had everything you could think of Plenty of cookware, a pack & play for a baby, booster seats and plenty of games. Brought a lot of these things ourselves and we didn’t have to Spent much of the time with the family on the porch. It’s a very beautiful, clean home and we had a great stay

Very nice home with well equipped kitchen and bar area. Abundant towels and linens. Grill was immediately replaced by very responsive Owner when first one failed. Dual heat/cool zones. Electronics worked well. Would recommend.

Best Kiawah Stay - Ever!!

This was our fifth trip to Kiawah, but our first time at this property. I wish we had always stayed here!! So much room, the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked, the pool was great, the furniture comfortable, the beds! I was so mad that I slept in a few times because the bed was so comfortable and I slept so soundly I didn’t hear my alarm! I could keep going. Matt and Kathy are amazing hosts. I had some questions and they are so prompt in responding. I truly felt so comfortable at their home and working with them. They are friendly and I truly felt they want you to enjoy your time - it doesn’t just feel like a business transaction and that was refreshing!!! My family (two teens and a younger one) have informed the hubs and I we are not permitted to stay anywhere else on Kiawah - ever. An endorsement from teens (who are never happy, lol) is worth its weight in gold!! If you’re considering the property and still reading my review…book it! You won’t regret it.

This is a beautiful home with fantastic, friendly and responsive owners! The area is gorgeous and it was a quiet and private location. Our only issue was that the house wasn’t cleaned to our standards and perhaps the owners need to be made aware and find a new cleaning crew.

Great Family Vacation

Kiawah is one of our very special “ happy places” for over 45 years . This was second time we enjoyed a week in this beautiful and comfy home, first time was as 4 couples, old friends. We cooked together most every night , enjoyed the super clean pool, and I got all 8 old folks on rental bikes ( all 70+ !) to go to beach. That was really fun . This time we had our 2 adult children/ spouses and teenage grandsons. The bike ride to beach is easy and pretty , just be very careful as you cross Governor’s Drive to bike bath, remind all to look both ways. We had breakfast and most lunches at home , nice big kitchen , and ate out most nights. Everyone did their own thing during day , some biking to beach, filming a sunrise, looking for alligators, many enjoying swimming ,sunning near boardwalk 32, some bike riding to the Night Heron Park, ( basketball playing teenagers really enjoyed hanging there late afternoon till dark ) several trips to restaurants at Fresh Fields , some trips to Charleston for sightseeing. We gathered in evening for family time , such a great house for everyone to relax. Pool is so well maintained , plenty of furniture , great TVs and good wi-if , nice big grill is very clean ( some rentals are not so clean ) House is spacious and nice layout . With many sweet family pictures displayed throughout the house , it is easy to see how Matt and Kathy have made so many special memories over the years . Thanks for another memorable week at your home.

Nice family home with great pool

The house is accurately described and very comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen, nice layout, pleasant outdoor spaces. There are a lot of extras (lots of books, kids’ toys, booster seats for the kids, more towels than most rentals offer, the use of the garage). There was a generous vibe to the house (e.g., a note to ‘feel free to take a book home if you haven’t yet finished it’) and it felt like we were living in a family home versus a rental house. The pool is especially nice…super clean (and well-maintained—a pool cleaner serviced the pool the week we were there), heated, and in a nice private setting with plenty of seating.

Wonderful!

This was our first visit to Kiawah Island and this house made the visit extra special. We came here with our kids and grandkids to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and this was the perfect house for that. The home is beautiful with amazing surroundings. The home is tastefully decorated and furnished very nicely. It was clean, very spacious, and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware. All four bedrooms had a full bathroom, which was really nice. There is a very large table in the dining room that accommodated all 8 of us easily and you could even seat more than that. The bar area was a big hit with the ice machine and wine cooler under the counter, very nice amenities to have. We all enjoyed a very nice pool and patio area in the the back of the home. Lots of chairs, lounge chairs, and small tables around the pool. There were also lots of pool toys that we could use. There is a nice screened in porch with table and chairs and the back porch overlooking the pool is well furnished with chairs, rocking chairs, benches, and a Weber gas grill, which we enjoyed using. The front porch is also quite spacious with rockers and tables as well. The owners were very quick to respond with any questions and very easy to communicate with during the whole process. They also gave us lots of tips for shopping and dining in the area and even sent us a nice map of the island which was very handy. We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on Kiawah Island and in this beautiful home on a beautiful island. If you’re thinking about a trip to Kiawah and looking for a place to stay you, will enjoy this spacious lovely home!

We started spending spring breaks with our family in 1992 and just fell in love with the Island. We bought our lot in 1997 and decided to build our dream vacation home in 2001. It's created so many family memories for Kathy and I as well as for our 3 children and now 7 grand children that can never be replaced.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We built the home knowing we would be doing vacation rental with it. We wanted to make sure that each bedroom had their own bathroom to offer privacy for our guests. The wide open and spacious living area allows for guests to spend time comfortably together if desired or find your own little area for some quiet time on one of the porches. It's hard to beat having your own private pool.

The pool area is very secluded and offers plenty of sun most of the year. Even in cooler weather it remains comfortable for sunning being so protected from the wind. The pool is very kid friendly with steps and seating in the shallow end.
