Located just two miles from downtown Coupeville, nestled amongst trees and with a view of Penn Cove and community beach access, this private island getaway feels a world away from city and work. Start your morning with breakfast on the front deck with views of the water and spend your day beachcombing, hiking, and exploring all the natural wonders of this 57-mile island. Your soul will thank you.

We purchased this home (March 2021) from full-time owners, with the intent to enjoy its location, comforts and amenities firsthand every few weeks, and share it with others between our visits. THIS PROPERTY IS NEW TO VRBO, HENCE THE LACK OF REVIEWS. IT HAS OPERATED AS A SHORT-TERM RENTAL ON OTHER SITES FOR ROUGHLY 2 YEARS, WITH 49 UNIQUE REVIEWS AND AN AVERAGE RATING OF 4.96 OUT OF 5.

This amazing home features an open floorplan ideal for entertaining and enjoying time with family and friends. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances including a Keurig coffee maker. The adjoining dining area and living area both comfortably seat 6 adults. Upstairs, you will find 3 bedrooms and a non-conforming (shelving but no closet) 4th bedroom. There is a full bathroom off the master and a second in the hallway. A family room, laundry room and third full bathroom can be found downstairs. Outdoor space includes a front deck with views overlooking Penn Cove and a back-patio area with a grill and seating.

The community beach at Long Point is a ¼ mile stroll from the house. Bring your bikes and ride the 2 miles to charming downtown Coupeville to enjoy its fine restaurants, shops, docks, fairs and festivals. Conveniently located a 2-hour drive from Seattle (or less if you can time the Mukilteo/Clinton ferry right), this vacation home is in a great central island location with easy access to downtown Oak Harbor (14 miles North), the picturesque town of Langley (24 miles Southeast), Deception Pass (24 miles North) and Fort Casey (6 miles South).

The home is kid-friendly - our 2 sons are 7 ½ and 4 ½ - and has a pack ‘n play and highchair available for use. The home and entire community are dog-friendly (light shedding dogs only with a one-time $100 fee) provided you know your dog will travel well and that you clean up after it (inside and out as applicable). We would be pleased to offer you activity and culinary suggestions during your stay as knowing that somebody else is taking advantage of this amazing home and location is the next best thing to being there ourselves!

Great House

We had a wonderful stay on Whitney Island a big part of it was due to the wonderful house we stayed in. The beach by the house was beautiful. The house was very homey and clean. My whole family loved it. We are going to try to book it for next year.

Quiet and comfortable

It was a relaxing place to stay. Amazing views The house was well stocked and a great location to get to Coupeville. The host was very responsive.

Great getaway house

We had a great stay with our family. House is a great size and well stocked. It was nice to be able to walk to the beach and nearby sculpture garden. Communication with home owners fabulous. We would definitely stay again.

A lovely winter getaway

We had a great February long weekend at this lovely property. The house was comfortable, and all rooms were well stocked with whatever you'd need for your trip. We really enjoyed the cozy living area, with a gas fireplace to warm us during the cold nights. The layout of the living/kitchen/dining areas works well for groups of all sizes - we were two people, but it would generously accommodate two families with children. There is also a family room with a tv in the basement, where we'd retreat in the evenings to watch movies. The location was a highlight for us since it's convenient while also being private and quiet. The house is a short drive to the Coupeville shops and within walking distance to the beach. While you can see other houses close by, there is generous space in between the houses and it's off the main street, allowing for privacy and quiet (and deer watching). I'd stay here again on my next trip to Whidbey.

Great family getaway spot

Myself, my hisbnad, my parents, my nephew, and his wife met for a long weekend here. Loved that there are 3 bathrooms--(would have been great to have one of the beds made up downstairs). We were able to stay as 3 couples with plenty of privacy. Terrific little beach within walking distance--such friendly neighbors--beautiful neighborhood. My nephew and his wife brought their paddleboards and used them there. Kitchen fully equipped, completely usable for a cooking vacation! Home owners very responsive. Highly recommend this place.
