Relax at Bent Nickel Lodge, nestled back in the pines of Pillar Peak. Located just off Hwy 14a, about 6 miles to Sturgis and 3 miles to Deadwood. Bent Nickel is located on all paved roads and driveway. Two garage bays are for guest use. Enjoy a cup of coffee out on the front porch or enjoy a grilled meal with the family on the large back patio. Inside sit and relax by the fireplace and enjoy large fully stocked kitchen. Take time for all the scenic drives within an hour of this lodge; Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Bear Butte, Devils Tower and more. The house was wonderful and well stocked. It was also very private but close to Deadwood and Sturgis. It was only 30 minutes to Spearfish, a bit farther to Rapid City. It worked very well for us as a home base for touring on our motorcycles.We enjoyed seeing the deer and turkeys on the property as well. We would definitely stay at this property again.

The only thing we came across is that this property needed a pizza cutter. But we managed to get one and added to the drawer😊 But, for real it was a BEAUTIFUL STAY over all!! This place literally had EVERYTHING you could possibly think of!! Thank You 😊

Beautiful property in the trees!

We had a wonderful time enjoying the quiet surroundings. We were the only traffic on the road and got to see lots of wildlife. Our family was in the area for a wedding, and I wish I had booked the property for longer. Would highly recommend this property and will hope to visit again.

A few suggestions

Bathroom trash cans were missing some liners. Fortunately I had brought small liners that could be placed in them. Sad to see that fire out had been damaged and not useable during our stay, we were looking forward to some fire out time. Ice maker needs to be looked at for lack of ice cubes , we again were aware this was a problem last year, so we bought bags of ice for drink use. Overall a beautiful property!

Perfect place for our family

This place was the best! Large kitchen with lots of seating, every family had their own bedroom and bathroom, and the kids playroom was the perfect touch! The location was great, we will definitely come back. Thanks!
