Perfect Little Trip

Clean, relaxing, close enough for convenience, but far enough to get a break from the hustle and bustle. We had a girls trip with our kids in tow and this had everything we needed!

Unit was definitely not big enough to sleep 8 the room with the bunk and trundle someone could lose a head in that top bunk. There was only one lawn chair usable as the other one was broken and the wagon is broken as well. Master bed slants downhill we had to put the pillow at the foot of the bed to sleep. The place is beautiful but not suitable for the needs we booked it for

Great weekend getaway

This property was just has advertised in the listing. We had a wonderful stay for an October weekend getaway. The home was clean & had all amenities we needed. Quick walk to the beach and close to the boardwalk and other restaurants/shops. We recommend and definitely stay again!

Fun Ocean City Destination

Our family had a great stay at this property. Location was near convenient eating, miniature golf and the beach was close by and beautiful. The property is very nice with front and back balconies and very comfortable.

Wonderful week for family of 5

Lovely place in a perfect location. The open floor plan in the main living area made it easy to be together. The front porch was great for relaxing before and after the beach. The location was perfect for us - easy walk to beach and also some of our favorite places to eat. Would definitely stay here again!

We had such a great stay. It was a perfect size for our family of 4 with two little boys. Plenty of space for everyone and not a far walk for the beach. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

This house is inhabited by cockroaches and black widow spiders. The interior is dated and someone attempted to paint it quickly and poorly. It is very poorly stocked and I had to buy a hair dryer and extra toilet paper. There were no hand towels or washcloths and it is missing most basic kitchen items. After my complaints the host put in a Walmart order for some of the basics which helped. There is no curb appeal, as the outside is weeds and spider webs. There is broken glass and hornet nests on the back patio. New cockroaches appeared daily and we killed a blackwidow in the hallway outside the bedrooms. The host offered to go to Home Depot to buy products to deal with the bugs but we declined as we didn’t feel that would help. I repeatedly explained that this property was dirty, not habitable and highly overpriced and he refused to even give me half the amount back. The Frogger video game was the best part of the stay.

Great vacation

This was a great rental in a really awesome part of OCNJ. Close enough to the boardwalk but far enough away for a nice quiet street. An easy walk to the beach. The house was clean and had all of the essentials. The washer/ dryer could use an update but that was minor. Everything was really quite wonderful!

5 night stay in May 2024

Overall great stay at this house. Beds were mildly firm but we slept well. Place was clean upon arrival. Kitchen was well stocked. Having to provide our own bed linens was one negative. The only other option was to rent them. For the amount we paid for the house it would have been a nice touch to have them provided. We were on the first floor and could occasionally hear people above us, which is typical. We liked the big kitchen table, the comfortable living room sofas, the big TV with Xfinity, and the front porch chairs. We would stay there again!

Great for the price, but...

Accommodations were comfortable, but a couple of caveats: BYO linens: queen mattresses are 12" deep; standard queen sheets do not fit. Queen beds w. 12" mattress and 12" springs are 30 inches off the floor-- too high for some folks. BYO toilet paper. Kitchen is equipped, but don't expect extras like a whisk, blender, etc.

Great place!!

We had a great time, house was perfect size for us and our 3 kids. It was well maintained and updated & perfect distance to & from the beach. My only complaint and its a minor one was that the Internet service was horribly slow, I'm pretty sure it was dial up, I saw the router jacked into the telephone line. We have 3 kids under 6 so iPad time is essential to keep our sanity and we ended up using our cellular service instead. I also had to do some work at a Starbucks because I could barely get a website to load. But Like I said it's a minor complaint, the whole stay was great and we had an absolute blast!'

Nice space, newer interior and furniture.

Nice space, newer interior and furniture, beds quite comfortable. Overall clean but perhaps because it was the end of the season the drapes and coverlets were worn and not very clean, the kitchen could be better stocked with utensils. The coffee pot was broken (bottom was not attached if you weren't careful it would land at your feet when tried to use it) and when I called to tell the owner she said to set it aside and she would check it at the end of the season. I didn't realize I would be charged for using a credit card to pay and had $31 dollars taken out my deposit. By the way, the owner gave me the wrong address and I spent awhile trying to find it. If it hadn't been for these issues, it would get a five star rating.

Our experience at Nihilani (N8C) was outstanding! The property is in a fantastic location with excellent amenities, including a refreshing pool. Everything was clean, and we truly appreciated the abundance of beach gear for our family outings. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary utensils, which made meal preparation a breeze. Relaxing on the private lanai was especially enjoyable, with the gentle cross breeze enhancing the tranquil atmosphere. We’re eagerly anticipating our next vacation in Kauai—thank you, host!

Great Location House Lacking

Got to the property and check in instructions were just fine. AC was set to 77. House was very hot. Set it to 72. Took until the next morning to get to 72. Felt refrigerant return line at outdoor condenser and it wasnt cold or sweating. AC needs a charge. I’m guessing this is why in the check-in instructions the host says not to put the AC below 70 because the air conditioner will freeze. You should be able to put air below 70 without an air conditioning system freezing. They only freeze when they are undercharged. The cookware is lacking. It is all old nonstick that is all scratched up, and the Teflon is coming off. There are no spices in the cabinets. Not even salt and pepper. No hand soaps, no toilet paper, no paper towels. All of which we had to buy but I expected there to be at least a little bit of those things when we got there. At least enough to use until we could go grocery shopping later the first day. The house is dirty. At one point my son pushed on the couch, and it slid, and when we saw underneath the couch we saw a ton of old food. We moved both couches and vacuumed it up. The silverware drawer had hair and dried food in it. The down button on the oven doesn’t work. So if you go too high in temperature, or if you set the timer too high, you can’t adjust it down. You have to clear everything and start all over. The location is great. That’s how they get you. The property is lacking.

Great location!

We enjoyed staying at this great location. Our host made us feel welcome, communication was so easy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms were impeccably clean. Good size family area with a large table for eating and playing games. Comfy seating. Great front porch.

Fabulous house, quiet neighborhood!

Thank you, Emmy, for a wonderful renting experience. We loved staying at your house! It was exactly as described - clean, updated, and comfortable. Three bedrooms and three baths are perfect for our family of three (that’s what we have at home) so we had more than enough room. The short walk to the beach was lovely. The beach was not overly crowded (just the way we like it). I would rebook immediately for next year except that our son will have classes next summer which puts our trip in limbo. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation week at your home!
