It was a great place to stay, close to town. The only real complaint was a the hot tub had a lot of chlorine and bleached out our suits

We enjoyed our stay in Saugatuck. The home was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, etc. The walk to downtown Saugatuck was about 10 minutes.

Saugatuck Wedding

This home was perfect for a large group visiting Saugatuck/Douglas. The beds were comfortable with plenty of bathrooms for our group of 8. The kitchen was fully stocked as well as bathrooms. No additional supplies were required. Close to downtown, restaurants and the Ivy House. Highly recommend Pleasant Memories for your next visit to Saugatuck.

Never Bored

Great location to shops, bars/restaurants within walking distance. Quick 20 minute ride to both Oval Beach and Holland State Park. Great restaurant options too whether walking or driving. Great morning coffee cafe options. Enjoyed The Southern for a birthday celebration and would highly recommend for fried chicken and biscuits! House was spacious and had everything from kitchen items to outdoor grill that we needed. Accommodated three families very nicely. Large deck to eat and grill was nice in the evenings. Parking for three large vehicles on the premises but had not problem finding free parking overnight in town about a 7-9 minute walk. Thanks for the great time in Saugatuck!

On the 1st night we had family ranging in age from 65 to 79 yrs old. The house was very poorly suited for them due to numerous factors (see below). For the other 6 nights there were 14 of us at the house ranging from 11 to 70 yrs old. The house layout worked very well for us. Impressions:Outside the house appeared very old with uneven cement, a broken wobbly handrail for the 5 steps you needed to go down to the front door. The roof looked aged & had moss growing on it everywhere. There was space for 4 cars not the 5 mentioned in the material. Landscaping was very poorly maintained with a feeble looking working water feature. The back deck was nice & the grill mostly worked.Inside everything looked like it needed a heavy cleaning, especially the 3 bedrooms & bathroom on the 2nd level. There’s 1 AC unit for the downstairs walkout, main and 2nd floors. It was barely able to keep each level comfortable. The window AC unit in the loft was great. There are 43 interior steps throughout the house - not conducive to older or very young people. The main floor master bath shower/tub was terribly stained & the bedroom lamps worked but were tilting & wobbly. Most mattresses were ok except the 2nd floor king which was quite lumpy. Furniture was fine. Overall this house worked for our group because of our group makeup. Location was perfect as we walked to downtown every day. Value for the money was iffy due to the previously mentioned items.

Many families choose the home specifically for its character, generous gathering spaces, and unique charm. Great house!

Beautiful house. There were 8 of us staying for a family vacation. We utilized every floor and every amenity the house offered. Our granddaughter loved staying in the attic with a play area for her Barbies. Our son and his family stayed on the second level. Our daughter and her family in the basement apartment. We took over the master bedroom on the main floor. The big table on the lower deck was fabulous! We ate many meals out there. Hot tub was used multiple times as well. Kitchen was great! We cooked every meal and the pots/pans etc were really nice. The only four star was for the checkin. It seems archaic to check in at the office only to be given a door code ..that was somewhat of a pain because of parking in downtown Saugatuck. Otherwise, this house was perfect for our family!!

This place is an absolute safety hazard for kids or pets. The exterior of the property has been totally neglected. It's on the side of a steep hill and the outside steps, pavers, concrete are all neglected, uneven, and not updated or maintained. The deck and outdoor furniture were filthy so we did not use as we were not about to spend hours cleaning. The deck support structure is also dangerous and not to code. The listing also fails to mention a 1/4 mile steep hill to walk to/from this property to the waterfront. FR chairs need replaced. Some windows have been replaced but most won't open; some have broken panes. 2nd floor wood floors creak loudly and attic bedroom is just that with a window air conditioner & dangerous exposed stairs you can fall down as the railing does not fully cover the stairs. Grossly overpriced by a realty company. Here are my notes from this place:-front exterior stairs railing wobbly-front storm door handle just fell off-support structure for deck is collapsing and not to code-single support for upper balcony is 4 x 4 resting on the lower deck-rotted steps-uneven steps-non-uniform stairs inside house-attic stairs are exposed where railing does not reach to end - VERY dangerous-outside area back patio dangerous and falling apart with holes and sunk areas-exterior landscaping is non-existent-hot tub unusable with hazardous water in it, filthy cover-filthy deck, chairs, and table-filthy plastic chairs look like have never been cleaned-fro

We take guest safety and comfort very seriously. All of our properties, including Pleasant Memories, are inspected annually by the local fire department and meet or exceed all safety requirements—we’re happy to provide a copy of the current permit reflecting this. The hot tub is serviced by a professional spa company the day of each arrival, and photos from this guest’s check-in show clear water and proper chemical balance. Transparency is very important to us, and the listing description accurately reflects the home’s location, layout, and character. We were surprised to read this review, as no concerns were shared during or after this guest’s five-night stay. As with every reservation, our team reached out the morning after arrival to check in, but did not receive a response. Our team is available around the clock, and we always appreciate the opportunity to address issues right away.
