Enjoy our spacious, architecturally-designed, Raeside-Dame home in Eliot, Maine, a scenic town on the Piscataqua River. It has a gourmet, fully-equipped kitchen, luxury furnishings, oriental rugs, hand-forged lighting, wide pine floors, large southern-exposed windows, a cozy gas fireplace and an efficient wood stove, and tasteful art—all in a peaceful garden setting.
While not directly on the water, we're close to popular beaches: Seapoint, Fort Foster, Newcastle; pretty harbors, historic Portsmouth lush gardens & the arts. We have a plethora of gourmet restaurants incl. a James Beard winner, amazing bakery, world-renown chocolatier, farmers markets (two you can walk to) & off the boat lobster. Activities are kayaking, biking, surfing, fishing, & boating.
Two of our bedrooms have queen beds and AC. The Master has solid cherry furniture. A third bedroom has a new full-sized bed with a new mattress and en-suite bath and bathtub and AC. (If needed it can also also accommodate an Innex Queen Ultra Plush plug-in mattress or a child's twin mattress as a fifth bed.) The fourth bedroom can serve as an office or bedroom with a full sofa bed and AC. For your entertainment we have a Sony TV and Bose soundbar. The internet connection is over 100 Mbps. We offer spa and eco-safe cleansing products.
Our guests love the bountiful 1.5 acre flowering gardens with screened porch, stone patio with a gorgeous Nellie Olsen hand-crafted table, Lyman Whitaker wind sculpture, and webber grill for al-fresco dining. We try to be energy efficient and have installed a full array of solar panels & a level-2 electric car charging station. The garage is not available (except by request) as we have a wonderful tenant who lives above it with a separate entrance & drive on the west side.
Our neighborhood offers a peaceful semi-rural setting with walkable and bikeable roads, around our one mile circle or two miles past a duck pond to a farm and farmers market along the river, or drive 8-20 minutes to the Eliot boat landing and popular ocean beaches, or 12-minutes to historic Portsmouth. (The automatic listing says were walkable to the Kittery outlets, however they are roughly five miles away.) Fort Foster and Seapoint are 11 miles away.
We hope you enjoy our classic Maine home and gardens as much as we do.
