Welcome to Sunset Slough by Big Fish Real Estate Group at Lake Martin! Are you looking for a private feel with lots of room to entertain? Book Sunset Slough! Located in Jackson's Gap, Sunset Slough offers 4 outdoor entertaining areas, a gas grill, a screened-in porch, a boat ramp, a dock, and an apartment located on the bottom floor with its own private entrance! If you're looking for some fun in the sun, you can also find kayaks and a paddleboard on the premises. There is an outdoor commercial ice maker for your convenience so you can fill up your cooler before you hit the lake! Grab a cup of coffee from the Keurig and head out back to enjoy the beautiful views! If you prefer to stay in, the view from the main floor is spectacular as well, with large windows overlooking the lake!

On the main floor, you will find 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1) King bed with an ensuite. Bedroom 2) 2 double beds 3) a twin-sized bunk bed.
Downstairs you will find a private entrance to the apartment that has a king bed and ensuite, as well as amazing views of the water!

PLEASE NOTE: Water levels can fluctuate (even at full pool) due to the lack of rain. Big Fish is not responsible for any inconvenience this may cause. You can download the Alabama Power Shoreline app and monitor the water level from there. If we meet the requirements for the fall extension, the winter pool draw down will begin on October 15th each year. Please be aware of this if you are booking in the fall.

*HOUSE RULES*
Must be 25 years and older to book.
Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 8 am.
This is a no-smoking property.
Pets are allowed with a $150 pet fee per pet. Max of 2 pets.
Exterior cameras may be in use.
The total number of occupants will not exceed the quoted number unless agreed upon.
For safety reasons, please do not use the boat lift. The power to the lift has been disconnected.
Please respect the neighbors and the fact the home is in a slough. When entering in the slough, remember other families will be swimming and enjoying the lake and try not to cause a wake.
All trash and perishables must be disposed of properly and dishes washed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is roomy, well decorated, offered plenty of bath and kitchen towels. All the rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. There are 6 different outside sitting areas. Swimming on your own private slough ... not many, if any, boats. Super nice neighbors. A great place to park your boat. Per friendly, but you would never know dogs had been there. Ample parking! We had 6 adults and 3 children under 4 and had way more room than we needed. Ready to go back!!

Great Family Vacation

This was our fifth family vacation to Lake Martin and this home was the best yet for our family of 10. The cove that it backs on is very quiet and no boat traffic which was good for the kids swimming and jumping off the dock. They loved the paddleboard and kayaks. We rented a pontoon and we packed lunch and spent several hours cruising the lake and finding a sandy beach in an unoccupied cove that we could stop and spend a couple of hours. Then we would go back to the house and hang out on the dock, grill and fish. The kitchen is very well stocked and the lower level mini-apartment was perfect for our son/ daughter in law and two toddlers since they would go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. Thanks for sharing your home. We definitely want to come back again.

Perfect

The house was very clean and set up very nicely, the only thing I would change is giving visitors access to the pantry for more space to place groceries, but over all it was great and whighly!recommend!

The outside is the selling point of this property with an excellent dock space, plenty of floats, kayaks, paddle board, lily pad, and steps going directly into the lake. The lake view instantly puts you into a relaxing, serene state of mind. We've rented several homes at Lake Martin and this outdoor space was the best!

Very beautiful place!!

We had a great time!! It’s a little travel to any place that you may want to go on lake Martin but this property is a hidden gym and so peaceful and quiet!! Thank y’all!! Ps: the ducks will definitely leave there territory marked so don’t leave anything out and wear shoes on the docks lol.

Great family rental

Sunset Slough was a great place to vaca with family. There was room for 9 of us, with 3 showers. There are different sitting areas around the home and the waterfront area makes a great place to swim due to the easy access of concrete steps. 3 bedrooms on the main floor which was great for those with mobility issues. The cove was quiet and was perfect for water activities.
