Escape to this fully renovated, secluded getaway located just 30 minutes from entertaining downtown Cleveland and 45 minutes from the world famous Cedar Point in Sandusky! The main attraction is the heated 20’x40’ inground pool and the brand new 6 seater hot tub.

Privacy abounds on this 5-acre property set within charming Oberlin. Modern amenities provide all the comforts necessary for a relaxing stay or quiet remote work setting take in a movie, or unwind in the pool/hot tub overlooking the lush forest. Indoor meets outdoor living, a truly nature-rich experience awaits you!

This spacious raised ranch sleeps 8 comfortably. The first two bedrooms are on the main floor and the third and fourth bedrooms are on the lower level of the house.

The breeo fire pit has a sear plate on top that gets extremely hot use caution, fire wood is included.

The pool is open April-September

I strive to be extraordinary quick with responses, if you have a question ask. When in town I will check the pool and hot tub chemicals 2x/week. Usually Monday and Friday mornings with the latter being trash day. Friday will be around 8am typically mow that day as well.
Please have garbage out the night before. I will take the cans down. I ask that you please take the empty cans back to the house it’s impossible to time when the service will pick them up. There is a dog fee $100 please add your pet when entering guest information.

Friends get away

We stayed for a girls trip weekend, very large living room, nice updated bathrooms!We had a relaxing stay. It snowed during our visit, and with all the windows and scenery- we joked that it felt like a snow globe! So fun! Thanks for sharing your home!

Beautiful home.

The house is beautiful and in a great location. We enjoyed our stay. Steve was easy to communicate with prior to the stay. The only negative comments I can make are the kitchen can use a few other pieces of dishes and a cutting board. The cleanliness of the house needed some attention. Unfortunately that left a bad impression on us.

Great family house and property close to Oberlin College

Our family from Washington and California traveled out to Oberlin for our nephew/son’s recital at Oberlin. This house was great! Very close to the college and so easy get to not only enjoy the recital but also to pop over to visit when his schedule allowed. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We all said we could picture staying here when it was warmer, enjoying the fire pit and hanging out around the pool. Inside was very clean and had everything we needed. The large kitchen was the central hub when we were there but everyone also had their own spaces as needed. The house itself is a little bit older but has been remodeled in the bathrooms and kitchen in ways that make it both comfortable but also like going to stay at a home that has been in the family and that still has its own personality. I would definitely recommend this house and very responsive host. We talked about maybe booking it again for graduation next year and it is already reserved so you know it is a great find!

Oberlin trip

We booked the house for a weekend trip to visit our son at Oberlin. We had a full crew with us, including our other son and his girlfriend, my parents, and even our dogs. The house worked great for the crew, with plenty of space for everyone. The yard and outdoor space, especially, are phenomenal for hanging out on warm, late summer evenings. While it's not in Oberlin proper, it's an easy 5 minute drive to downtown and campus. Loved our stay at the house!

Peaceful getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. Was a peaceful getaway. Quiet neighborhood, well kept clean pool and hot tub, and a large backyard. The pool itself was an entertainment for our children. Thank you for making it a great stay!

Golf Getaway

Perfectly located to play at multiple public courses, all in beautiful condition. Back to the house to relax in the pool or hot tub. Couldn’t have been easier!

Perfect private paradise!

Steve is awesome! Responds to questions immediately. The yard and landscape are so peaceful and beautiful. Recurrent visits from bunnies and deer. Tons of birds. The fireflies at night are amazing. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. Outdoor speakers made it easy to connect your playlists to. The firepit on the deck made for a perfect conversation spot. Inside had lots of rooms to offer friends and family to stay overnite. The large table housed many game nights. Definitely one of the best VRBOs I have ever stayed. Already talking about rebooking.

Secluded and Peaceful

We had such a peaceful, enjoyable time. The gas fire pit and jacuzzi were so relaxing. Just what we needed for our long weekend. The host was very attentive and the home was clean and inviting.

Nice place, even in winter

We were in town in winter, for a funeral, so not the usual vacation rental. It took us a bit to find it because Google Maps shows a different property a few houses down the street. Follow the host directions and you'll be ok. The internet was recently changed, so the sheet in the house was not accurate, but the Vrbo instructions worked. The listing is slightly misleading in that, with 4 bedrooms (2 up, 2 down) I assumed one bathroom on each floor (the listing does not say where they are). Both bathrooms are on the main floor, so those staying in the lower level need to come upstairs for a bathroom. There was an unexpected snowfall, so we appreciated the obvious snow shovel on the deck. The location is very convenient to both Oberlin and Cleveland airport. As a host, Steve was in touch and very responsive.

perfect family getaway

This property was the perfect family getaway! The pool was so much fun and my daughter who is still learning to swim just loved it. The fire pit and hot tub were great for the evenings. Not a far drive to town, stocked with all the essentials and we could bring our pets-exactly what we needed. Host (Steve) was great to work with and communicate with. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Great Pool

We enjoyed the pool. The wooded area provided privacy. We were close to shopping. We spent one day at Topgolf which was only 30 minutes away.

Beautiful retreat

The house has nice upgrades it has a charming cottage feel. The pool and hot tub were very well maintained. The outdoor setting is gorgeous! So peaceful. The owner was very responsive in responding to a very tiny hiccough. I would definitely go back again.

Beautiful Getaway in Ohio

The home was absolutely beautiful and the property as well. Steve was very responsive and available to address any concerns, one small thing popped up while we were there and it was handled immediately. The property is also dog friendly and our beagle was in her glory! I highly recommend this property, we cannot wait to go back!
