Beautiful and spacious made for 2 , with beach and Mountain View you have washer and dryer available right next to your balcony / hammocks to rest and enjoy on along with the sea breeze. Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood just minutes away from all the outdoor and new nightlife activities and local grocery store as well as bakeries. Your space is on the second floor of the property very cozy and comfortable with all that you need includingin private driveway for your rental we are TV/Wi-Fi ready with two AC units to cool off in this is your home away from yours.

Overall review

The property was great and had included everything except the tv because the wifi wasn’t strong and we could not use it. Also there was miscommunication about parking so be mindful to confirm if bringing a vehicle.

Great rental for my wife and I; spacious, good kitchen, quiet and clean. Very close to the beach, near restaurants and in a peaceful neighborhood. I would recommend having a car for this part of the island.

Jay’s at the beach

This property was perfect for my daughter and I. It was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed. The owner was so responsive and he gave us tips of things to do and kept us informed about a major change in weather conditions one day. I will stay at Jay’s again next time I come to the island.

Jay was an awesome host! He had excellent communication, including some recommendations for activities, parking, and restaurants! The home was clean, quiet and comfortable. I was able to walk to the beach each morning with a stop at Antique Bakery for great breakfast and coffee. Would highly recommend Jay’s!

Jay is a great host!!! This coming from a host myself. This place was great!! The house was clean the neighborhood is quiet and your close to the beach with the rainforest behind you. We used the hot tub almost very night. Those rainforest hikes are not joke!! Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place

Beautiful quiet location. We had a hard time finding the place, the address sent to us directly didn’t punch into Apple Maps or Waze easily, and the location on the listing is a bit away from where it is. It’s very private and safe, four gates to get to the front door. The cafe within walking distance is amazing. The first night the bed frame was so loud and we found one of the legs off in the morning, and another severely bent, looked to be rusted. I notified the owner in messages on the first of our four nights, and said it was manageable as long as it didn’t break further, never received a reply at all the rest of the stay. But we propped it back up and were careful when laying and it ended up being fine for the meantime, the mattress itself was comfortable. Shower had good pressure but was luke warm at best. Air conditioners were great.

Jay was the best host I have ever encountered! Not only was his space beautiful and clean, he gave us tons of suggestions for things to do and he saved me hundreds of dollars by avoiding tour guide prices! So I highly suggest all of jay’s recommendations and I will most definitely be back!

Fantastic Stay at Jay’s Place! I recently stayed at Jay’s Place in Luquillo, PR, and it was an incredible experience. The place was immaculately clean and well-equipped with everything you need for a fun beach getaway. Jay is an outstanding host—he provided us with a comprehensive list of things to do in the area and was always available to answer any questions we had. The location is perfect, with restaurants and activities nearby, and El Yunque National Forest just minutes away. The ferry is about a 25-minute drive, making it easy to explore even more. The view from the property is breathtaking, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing vacation. No lie, we’re already thinking about booking Jay’s larger unit to bring our kids next time. Highly recommend Jay’s Place for anyone looking for a great stay in Luquillo!

Best Host with Best Communication

We had a great time during our last minute trip to PR. We made the reservation a couple of days prior to arriving and Jay had everything set up with us. The instructions were clear and he gave great recommendations on where to eat and visit. So many things happened on our trip. The power went out in the island and the water as well. Jay put so much effort into making sure our AC unit was connected to his back up generator.

The Host “Jay” was lovely, kind, and helpful. The apartment was good place to stay, property was maintained appropriately/adequately. I will say Liquillo is not a destination for a romantic get away for a couple seeking entertainment, fun, and convenience getting from place to place. This is not Cancun, Cozumel, Key West, or Clearwater… this is like going to visit relatives that live out in the boondocks, so rent a vehicle before you arrive and expect little to no excitement.

Excellent host. Was on the property when I got there, very friendly very welcoming. The neighborhood is quiet, Im planning on buying there, so I stayed as close as I could, and staying here confirmed my want. The place is clean, water was warm, you have a view of the mountains. Removed a star cause I caught a stomach bug and ran out of toilet tissue (yes 2 rolls in 2 says one person used 2 rolls “sh** happens’ lol) when I asked for an additional roll I was denied by the host, saying ‘the first two are free” and that I had to run to the convenience store, which was very inconvenient while fighting a bug. I bought 2 extra rolls and left them, so if anyone else has this issue he can give them an extra roll. I would stay again, and if not for that, This was a 5 star place.

Rental from hell

So I can say that the host was responsive. And the unit is exactly as pictured. But it is in no way a comfortable place to stay. You have to drag your luggage through the grass and walk all the way around the house to get up to the second floor. Once inside there are very few electrical outlets. The owner claimed that there was hot water but I let the water in the shower run for 20 minutes and it did not get hot so do not count on a hot shower the bed in the bedroom is missing a leg I am a heavy man and I was afraid to break the bed and be charged for it. I booked for seven nights I only stayed one night. The owner would not do anything to give me any portion of my money back this was a trip for me and my son for his 10th birthday our first time to Puerto Rico and after the first night my son wanted to go back home. We ended up renting another VRBO and our vacation turned out much better. Also the Wi-Fi is very crappy. Could not stream any videos on our phone or laptop and the only TV that is in the living room takes forever to load a show. Also the only furniture in the house is a futon that is outdated and very uncomfortable. I would say spend the extra money and get a better place the home is quite uncomfortable
