Welcome to our newly remodeled condo overlooking beautiful SML. This unit is our Southern Escape and one of the largest one bedroom units at Bernard's Landing. Our unit has a comfy king size bed in the bedroom and a full size murphy bed in the dining nook. The living room has a new 55 inch TV and brand new sofa. The kitchen is stocked with all the comforts of home. You will love relaxing on the deck and enjoying the amazing view, Wow!! Reconnect & enjoy all SML has to offer. Great internet service and cable TV from Shentel.

Stayed for a Wedding Near the Lake

My best friend and I rented the place as a home base for a weekend of wedding festivities. The owners were very helpful and understanding of our requests. The condo was also very lovely and comfortable.

Relaxing and Recreational

We wanted a nice hub with hiking, biking, and restaurants all close by. This place was perfect! The unit was clean, nicely appointed, and spacious… but the view it offers of the lake and mountains was gorgeous! We were very pleased with our stay at SML in Southern Escape!

Nice getaway!

Came for a relaxing getaway, and that is exactly what we got! Only had upstairs neighbors one night, but sound traveled well, unfortunateky.

Lake Wedding

We rented this condo for our son’s wedding at Bernard’s Landing. It was perfect location with a beautiful view of the lake. Very convenient to the venue and we enjoyed all the amenities especially the next door outside pool. Unit was very clean and comfortable and would definitely recommend.

Everything was there

The property was clean and the location was as described with a beautiful view of the lake. However, what we appreciated the most were the special touches provided by the hosts: cozy fleece blankets for cool fall evenings on the balcony, fully stocked kitchen, clean bathrooms, and decor that made the condo feel like a true home away from home. We plan to visit again.

Smith Mountain Lake Visit

Your home is beautiful. We usually stay at Hillside and loved the fact the dock was so close. Beautifully furnished and very clean.

Fantastic Lakeside Stay

Having a tremendous view with morning coffee, access to kayaks on the lake, and smith mountain lake park and horseback riding all within easy driving distance, the condo is pretty amazing. Would consider coming back!

Excellent stay

Lovely condo! Clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated. Soft sheets, towels and blankets. And the view was to die for! Beautiful sunrises and so close to the water! The pool was still open, which was an unexpected bonus for us northerners who are used to pools shutting down after Labor Day. Overall an excellent stay!

Stay at Smith Mountain Lake for Family Reunion

We've stayed at one bedroom condos at Smith Mountain Lake three times in the last 3 years.. This was the best unit. Very clean and well equipped. Great view of the lake. Other rentals didn't include bedding and towels which is a pain when you travel via airlines or don't own sheets for a specific bed size. We enjoyed our stay.

Quiet girls weekend with kids

Such a sweet weekend away for me and a friend and my daughters. We enjoyed Bernard’s Landing and all the amenities. Our host provided a perfect spot that was relaxing and more than we needed. We watched lake life from the windows, worked on one of the host’s puzzles, and enjoyed some time in the water with the kayaks. What a pleasant weekend away. Would recommend to others and plan another trip in the future! Beds and linens were super comfortable and everything was clean and well provided!
