Gå in på mellanplanet genom ett lerrum, som öppnar mot trappstegets landning. Flera trappsteg upp öppnar sig till ett vardagsrum, matsal och kök. Rymlig planlösning med trägolv av trä ek och rika trä accenter. Gott om underhållande utrymme med matbord för 8-10, granitkökön med 4 stolar, buffébar, rostfria apparater och lådor, Professional Series Frigidaire sortiment, ugn, kylskåp och alla bekvämligheter i ditt hemkök. Vardagsrum gjort bekvämt med vedeldad spis, 55 tums platt-HDTV med BluRay, kärleksstol, stol och soffa. Skjut ut till sidodäck. 1/2 bad utanför köket.

The home is in a nice central area and suited our needs for a large family. The management staff is very responsive which was helpful, given a few scenarios. When we arrived there were 3 separate trucks with repair crews blocking the garage and parking, working on the roof. It took several requests for them to move and leave so we may check in. The home is a bit rundown. We had a toilet handle fall off after first use, bedding and furniture need updating, garage and patios (furniture included) were really dirty and covered in cobwebs. There is only 1 towel per person, so repeated laundry required. The house was not stocked well. We needed to purchase Kleenex, dishwasher pods, napkins, trash bags and laundry softener. There were also no wine glasses, even plastic. We had asked in advance if there would be enough fans, given it was hot and there are no ceiling fans. There were not enough for each bedroom without moving them from the living areas , none of them were oscillating and many were dirty.The main living room was missing the remote so we needed to figure out how to program from our phones. There is also no garage door opener, which makes coming and going a bit inconvenient. The home would be worth the price if it had some TLC and matched the photos. We had tree trimmers and sewer cleaning all week so very noisy, but not in management’s control. We would use Hauserman again but definitely a different home.

Room for a Family

Plenty of space for a large family. 5 bedrooms, 4 baths make for a very livable space. Great kitchen/dining/living open floor plan upstairs. Nice quiet sitting spaces off the living and downstairs bedrooms to get some quiet time to read a book.

Family Gathing Spot

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The highlands lodge was a good gathering place for a meaningful reunion.The building gets a lot of wear and tear so things like window casements, screens, closet organizers, faucets are a bit beat up., if not actually broken. Not a big deal, and Hauserman was happy to fix,. But it is expensive to stay here, so you might expect much more for the money.

Birthday celebration

The house was a really great size, but it really needs some TLC outside. The railings were coming apart and you could see nails. It was a bit wobbly near the hot tub. The cushions on the outside chairs were falling apart. The chairs are very comfortable but the cushions need to be replaced. We had a great time.

Don't stay here

The refrigerator and the microwave both did not work. We called right away and they kept telling us it was normal for a fridge not to work for the 1st 24 hours??? Our food spoiled, my daughter got food poisoning and was sick for 2 our of our 5 days. The bedding and towels had stains and crumbs and hair. The carpets smelled like dog pee. The management company kept telling us that the problems were not problems and then told us they couldn't solve the issues even though they knew that there were issues. SO, basically, they ignored our concerns, knowingly allowed us to get food poisoning and then told us they just can't get a fridge or good cleaning crews. If that is the case, they need to not rent the property. It is totally unacceptable to knowingly put peoples health in danger and to also cost them hundreds of doallrs in wasted food.

This review is absolutely, 100% false. Both the refrigerator and microwave at Highlands Lodge work perfectly. These renters could not understand that loading a fridge to the gills and blocking the vents where the cold air enters could cause a problem with the fridge staying cold. They mistook a "please close the door firmly" sign on the microwave as somehow meaning that it didn't work. Even though both appliances work exactly as they should, we brought a smaller but fully functional fridge and a backup microwave for them to use. We also unlocked the linen closet and gave them full access to all the clean linens. Is that how we "ignored their concerns"? An appliance repair person went over immediately after this rental and verified that there is literally nothing wrong with the fridge. We have had multiple rentals since their stay and not a single one of them has had any issues with the fridge or microwave, nor complaints about cleaning. We would never say the things this renter claims we did and can only assume she is purposefully misrepresenting the situation. More importantly, we would NEVER "knowingly" let someone get food poisoning. That is a statement verging on libel. We've been in business for 57 years which seems an unlikely accomplishment if we didn't care about our renters and their experience.

The rental amount for Highland Lodge was twice what I have paid for the 2 previous Tahoe rentals of almost identical size therefore I expected a higher level of quality in furnishings, kitchen equipment, bedding and above all cleanliness. I requested an early check in but was told that there were renters leaving the morning of our arrival and the cleaning staff would need time to clean and Covid cleaning protocols are in place. Unfortunately the cleaning was not what it should have been.When we checked in at 4pm it was apparent that there was very little cleaning that had been done. The area rug in the upstairs living room had been vacuumed, kitchen counters & sink appeared clean and bathroom sinks look clean.TV remotes for each TV were filthy, dust and cobwebs throughout, coffee table was wobbly, hardwood floors and bedroom rugs very dirty, hair & debris in silverware drawer, cookware worn out, we had to slam the microwave door to get it to work, drips down front of stove, hood exhaust fans caked with grease, stair handrails not connected to wall on one end, shower doors filthy, bed pillows completely flat, mattresses worn out, previous renters underwear & socks in dresser drawer, used bandaid found on upstairs master bedroom floor, hair in bathtubs, small couch in downstairs master bedroom disgustingly stained.We had a loss of hot water and the property management/repair staff were extremely polite, responsive and sent a repairman within an hour to resolve the problem.While the property it self is great for large groups until the cleaning issues and upgrades in beds and furnishings are addressed I would not recommend this property. To be fair I sent an email to the property management detailing with photos the issues we encountered to afford them the opportunity to check the property themselves and correct things. I requested a refund of the cleaning fee and was granted the ref

When I called the office to ask for the code since the house was empty and cleaned, I was told by the office staff that the cleaning crew would send the text (they were long gone). So I was disappointed that what you advertise on your web site was NOT what we experienced.

After returning to Oregon, I found out my sister was dying of breast cancer so have been with her the last 3 weeks. I would normally give my review within a week of departure. Originally, we were all so happy to find a house that was comfortable for the 8 of us. We've rented in Tahoe every year for 51 years. We've gone from renting a 2 br/1bth A-frame to lakefronts on West Shore & Incline. Initial pictures convinced us this place would be perfect. 5BR/4bthPros-Location, furniture, bedsCons-on arrival, fridge was not working properly. The after hours number was called and were told someone would call. No call so we were planning to go to my cousins place at Chambers Landing for back up. Then small Fridge was delivered unannounced & we were told main fridge would be fixed. Did not happen. Lights over sink continually blink, cannot close windows over sink because handles broken. 1 in. of dish soap provided, only 2 kitchen trash bags. We ended up buying soap, trash bags, kleenex, Bathrooms-downstairs single bath toilet runs after each flush, handle loose, most of the baths rugs should be thrown away (shredded & dirty) Interior windows were dirty, many cobwebs. No kleenex in Bathrooms, no extra light bulbs found. My husband & I have 2 vacations rentals in Sunriver, Oregon. WE have a manager that checks on them after housekeeping leaves so that they are in top shape before the next renters checkin.But even after this negative review; if these issues were dealt with, we all agreed it is a great rental house for the 8 of us.Regards, Paddy Hueneke Salem, Or.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very good lodge, only down side was that there wasn't a balcony to sit on in the evening for the last rays of sun

Lovely Home

Our family enjoyed the Christmas holidays at the perfect home! The house was clean, spacious, with plenty of natural lighting, well stocked and the property management was so helpful and accommodating.

Amazing, Spacious House.

Amazing house. Lots of room to move around. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for multiple guests. Beautiful large fire place.

Great choice for large group

The home has lots of space and was in a great location. We had friends staying with us for our daughter’s wedding in Tahoe City. The house has plenty of room and the kitchen was perfect! The only drawback is the noise is pretty bad downstairs (bedrooms) when people are walking around upstairs. Not a huge problem but worth mentioning if that sort of thing bothers you.

Great layout for large family or reunion. 3 private suites. Plenty of space For everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were very appreciative of the fans that were necessary for the unusual high temperatures we experienced in August. Property management was very attentive and delivered supplies at our request.
