Cozy Guest House - Bastrop, TX Relax in the pines!

Welcome to our new guest house with its own private entrance. There is a private lighted parking space for guests use only. Make yourself at home with a new adjustable queen bed with remote, a bathroom, kitchenette, TV and a small dining table. There is a pullout twin bed in the loveseat. If you prefer to dine outside; a table and chairs are available in our outdoor courtyard area. We have a new LG window unit AC/Heater with remote; to keep you very comfortable in any season.

Our property is in the country surrounded by beautiful pine trees and only 12 miles from historic downtown. We are a 4 mile drive to the north shore of Lake Bastrop which has picnic areas, walking trails, fishing access and a boat ramp. For your convenience, there is a Dollar General store five minutes driving distance from the guest house.

The guest house has Wi-Fi and a wall mounted TV for streaming your favorite shows. The kitchenette is equipped with dishes, utensils, cups, pans, a coffee pot, a cooktop, a full size refrigerator with ice maker, a microwave and a toaster oven. The bathroom includes a vanity sink, toilet, shower stall and a separate heater for chilly mornings. Extra towels, linens, blankets and toiletries are available on the bathroom shelves.

This is a very quiet, secluded area; true country living. Nothing but 50 year old pine trees and stars. Great for a short term get-away or for a temporary residence. Weekly or Monthly discounted rates upon availability.

Served its purpose well!

Nice little place for a quick stay as we had a funeral to attend in Bastrop. Neighborhood looks a tiny bit sketchy, but we had no issues at all, nor had any reason to worry. The light outside was a bit annoying at night, but that's partially our fault for not going out and turning it off (which we had instructions on how to do if we really wanted, but usually once we realized it neither of us wanted to get up). Owner was communicative and helpful. Coffee and a few snackies were greatly appreciated!

Super easy to find and get checked in. Nice location if you’re looking to hang out in Bastrop or at the Sherwood fair. Quiet neighborhood. Clean inside. And nice to have our own fridge and microwave. Overall great stay for 2!

Weekend Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Cathy and Brian's guesthouse. We visited Bastrop State Park and Sherwood Forest during the daytime so just crashed here at night. Would definitely recommend!

So clean

The room and bathe were both very clean. The owners were great. The kind of people you would want to hang out with. It was in the middle of the r forest. We will book it again just to relax for a weekend.

Glamping in nature's bounty!

This was an amazing experience! Cathy and Brian are very responsive to any questions you might have. We absolutely loved the attention to detail and the fully stocked kitchen that was warm and welcoming! It had all types of kitchen utensils, complimentary sparkling water, granola bars and to my surprise, Tim Horton's coffee and creamer, which is my favorite. There were also spare toiletries left in the bathroom in case you forgot any. We were floored. This is a clean and spacious property and I would definitely book again.

Fantastic place

We stayed for the Sherwood Forest fair. The house was absolutely adorable and very well maintained. The owners were super nice and very responsive to any questions. It was super easy to find and the owner sent very detailed directions on arrival, check out and directions to get there.

Great Place to Stay

Owners were great and understanding and had 0 problems getting the place setup
I would highly recommend staying at this location to get away from that city life and enjoy a nice vacation to relax will be coming back in the future

What a find!

What a terrific place to stay! The accommodations are comfortable, and the place is super clean and well stocked with thoughtful amenities. The host, Brian, is very responsive. If I could give more than five stars, I would!
