Lake Cabin Escapes: Innisfree Cottage

Custom built rustic/modern Lakeview cabin on Lake Palestine w/exceptional sunsets. Innisfree Cottage w/ locally milled white oak, cypress, cedar & pecan; 4' loft window for view of the Lake! Innisfree Cottage has a tin covered front porch to look for the Bald Eagle & an open bench area for star gazing. It may be the nicest cabin around. Named after the Classic movie "Quiet Man" starring John Wayne & Maureen O'hara. Host awarded with "No. 1 Airbnb in Tyler-2018" community hot tub!
Chiggers are out in the tall grass after May 15th, use bug spray if you go exploring:) we are also in the woods and that means critters of all sorts are around. Snakes, deer, rabbits, foxes, bobcats, and many types of birds including Bald Eagles! Awesome sunset views from the porch and a few little surprises around the property to walk about and find! Lots of natural wildlife to see and hear!
We want you to enjoy your time here and your privacy. However, we live nearby and are available for any issues that may come up. We also farm and enjoy our property so we can often be found walking the property or working in a nearby garden or flowerbed.
The hot tub area is an outdoor deck surrounded by trees and outdoor Edison lights. Open for star gazing!
It is in a central location and shares by all 5 cabins.
Neighborhood is mainly woods overlooking Lake Palestine. It is a private setting, but there are conveniences close by. The cabins are near the Tyler Lift Station which you can hear. Brookshires grocery store is 1 mile away. The Villages Marina is 4 miles away. It is a short drive into Tyler for all the restaurants, shopping and outings you might want! We do have other cabins on the property, but each one is surrounded by woods and is very private!
Guests can utilize the trails around the cabin. You can walk to Lake Palestine, it is a natural shoreline, no beach area and swimming and fishing are at your own risk.
The shared hot tub is for use by all of our adult guests.
Our cabins are built for exploring the outdoors, not the best place for indoor movie watchers:) limited internet availability
So come sit on the front porch and enjoy the view or build a campfire and enjoy the stars!!
Parking is right at the cabin and each cabin has a designated trail, please use only your trail to your cabin!
The Cabin is perfect for romantic getaways. What makes it unique is the compact luxury/roughness. Come see to understand. It is ideal for couples, but can accommodate a small family. It is a small space for more than 2 adults. Private outside fire pit fun space! Due to the nature of our construction and owner having severe skin allergies we have a strict no pet policy! We do all the laundry an cleaning ourselves and CANNOT accommodate animals of any kind. Please respect our health and do not ask for exceptions.
Cable TV & ground internet are not available here in the woods. Limited Jet pack Wi-Fi is available!
Come to unplug and enjoy the Romance, Nature, and Beautiful
outdoors! This is not the best spot for TV and streaming:)
It is a great spot to catch a great sunset over the lake or watch the stars from the open deck!
We have limited parking for each cabin, please use only the designated driveway for your cabin for the safety and privacy of all our guests. Once your here feel free to get outdoors and explore or walk down to the lake.
