This Japanese inspired cottage, tastefully decorated with amazing amenities features two Master Suites (one upstairs, one downstairs). Guests that appreciate the beauty of the woods; but, like access to restaurants and shopping in Ligonier and Greensburg will love this for their next getaway. The home sits streamside at the end of dead end lane. Folks that are seeking solitude, quiet and peaceful oasis will not be disappointed with the Satori Cottage. Our guests will enjoy the sounds of rushing water from the screened porch or fall asleep to Spring Peepers chirp while drifting off gently moving water. You can dine out or stay home and whip up your own cuisine in the kitchen and eat at the dining room table and enjoy the view from the triple sliding door wall of windows. Just a little over an hour from Pittsburgh and minutes to Ligonier the Satori Cottage makes an exceptional meditative getaway for discerning guests.

Best Friend Getaway

My best friend and I had the most amazing weekend getaway at this beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the peaceful, private, and relaxing atmosphere that makes this place so special. It’s a hidden gem that truly feels like an oasis from the hustle and bustle of daily life.This was our second stay here, and it felt just as magical as the first. Everything about the property is thoughtfully designed for comfort and tranquility, making it the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. Whether sipping coffee in the serene morning air or sharing laughs late into the night, every moment felt unforgettable.We can’t wait to return for a third visit—it’s quickly become our go-to spot for the ultimate best friend retreat. Great Getaway

Beautiful secluded property. Will be booking again in the fall so that we are able to enjoy all the amenities offered outside. Everything was great except for the cleanliness of the property, looked as if the cleaner did not care at all.

Weekend retreat

We wanted a quiet weekend away and this lovely little place did not disappoint. Very clean, great energy, beautiful nature views. We look forward to makong this a regular little getaway to recharge.

Our stay was very nice, beautiful view to enjoy. Would have been nice if owner had provided some games, playing cards, etc. TV was very hard to figure out & there were no instructions on how to operate; Fumbled with it all weekend. House was warm & cosy!

Very quiet location, and still close to stores, restaurants, and activities. Really enjoyed the ~0.25 mile walking path.

Connect with Nature

Pictures and description do not do justice to the peacefulness of the rental. Very relaxing and rejuvenating. Perfect for private reflection. Rental exhibits the peacefulness expected in a Japanese home. Close to Ligonier and its shops. Definitely will return.

Serene and upscale

We were very happy with our stay. The owners put a lot of thought into creating a peaceful environment. I would caution that the living room is not large and think it may be a little tight for 2 couples although probably fine a family of 4. We would definitely stay there again.

Among nature

A charming, comfortable, well-appointed Japanese-themed modern cottage set on a hillside at the end of a gravel road overlooking a stream and tall trees undergirded by a blanket of forest ferns. The property even has its own 1/4 mile or so loop trail. A delightful hot tub was recently installed. Not far from Ligonier and about 2 miles from the locally popular Idlewild Soak Zone. Responsive property management. Highly recommend.

Charming clean getaway!

This house is a gem. Very private and the only noise we heard was from the birds and the babbling stream in the back. The owners have done a great job of creating a mulched walking path around their property and a bridge over the stream. The house has a beautiful remodel done to it and it’s clean and brand new. The water pressure for showering was great, I wish it was like that in my own home. We didn’t have cell reception but were able to hook up to the wifi and use wifi calling and texting and internet to reach out. One thing of note, there is no microwave, so plan extra time if you need to reheat food. There is a toaster oven and a gas stove and oven to use. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we are thankful to have had the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful setting!

Perfect Getaway

The fact that this house was no pets, no kids made me sure it would be clean. It was even nicer than expected. The house is well appointed with everything you need for your stay. It’s also in a beautiful setting that will instantly put you at ease. Communication with the management was quick and easy with correct, thorough and accurate directions. Perfect for 4 close friends/family or if you’re a solo traveler like me who just needs a reset. Can’t wait to come back!
