We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mariposa. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the nice coffee station each morning.We used it as our base for exploring Yosemite. While it was a bit of a drive to the park, it was worth it to come back to such a comfortable and welcoming place after a day of hiking and sightseeing. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed here a few years ago and loved it. This trip was a little more impromptu so we were super excited to see this property with availability for our dates. I think last time my husband said it was the best rental we had ever stayed at and I think that still rings true! (Also since our hike was on checkout day we didn’t get to regale you with the tale but we did make it up Half Dome!)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Robin's Nest. Very clean, perfect location, and a beautiful outside area. There was a pool, however it was "closed for maintenance" which is a shame because there were some pretty hot days for mid-May that we would have loved to enjoyed a swim or two. Overall a great stay.

This spacious accommodation has delightful teas and superb coffee, although you’ll want to bring creamer if you don’t drink it black! It has a full bathroom with handicap bars, hot water and absorbent towels. The kitchen is equipped with a cuisinart heating element and a good size refrigerator with freezer, although a short walk into town and food options are plenty! The grounds are clean and it is quiet, wi. This is a comfortable unit and we’re looking to return for ‘margaritas’ with the hosts!

This is the perfect space for one or two people who aren't interested in doing too much serious cooking. It's just five minutes from downtown Mariposa and just over and hour to Yosemite Valley. The grounds are lovely and the house has just about everything you can think of. Nice sofa and tv with a great dvd collection as well as streaming services. Small table for two. And the mini split works great to maintain a constant temperature. The owners are so nice and sent good directions before arrival. The neighborhood is every quiet. Would highly recommend.

Robn's Nest

The Nest was a beautiful home that was centrally located and the perfect point to support our expeditions to Kings Ca yon,Sequoia, Yosemite and San Francisco. Robn and Trace were perfect hosts and even tossed in some excellent cookies during our stay. This was an excellent vacation.

Mariposa stay

Robin's Nest was a great place to stay. We had about a one hour drive to Yosemite Valley. Robyn and Trace were fantastic hosts and gave us wonderful information about Yosemite and surrounding area. Our room was spacious, clean and perfect for us. We'd certainly stay there again.

Robn and Trace DeSandres är värd

Trace, my husband was born in Yosemite Valley and raised just outside the Park in El Portal. He was a back-country ranger for eleven seasons and retired in 2020 after teaching for 34 years. Trace is proud to say he has hiked the majority of the trails in the Park and would love to share suggestions on places to hike and explore making your stay even more enjoyable. Robn grew up in Mariposa and is also a retired educator. A love of gardening and recently becoming a Master Gardener has kept Robn busy working in her yard and garden. She also loves to bake and looks forward to spending time doing lots and lots of reading. It brings us an enormous about of pleasure to share our love of the Sierra Foothills and Yosemite with our guests.

Our home sits on a hill overlooking the town of Mariposa. We have a wonderful breeze that comes in each night and you will find that our neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, full of wildlife and a truly relaxing place to live.
