This lovely property made a gracious host to my family group of eight; every room and all furniture was comfortable and the amenities comprehensive. The huge patio with its inviting Adirondack chairs is what drew us to the listing, and it was amazing! But everything else was wonderful too; as soon as we walked into the house we felt right at home.
Plenty of linens, plenty of space and seating options for all, the kitchen well-equipped, the GPS found the house without issue, the road in not difficult to traverse, and entry instructions and stay requirements / requests quite reasonable. The upstairs is a pleasant space all its own, with full bath and a walkout over the patio for its own view; perfect for say, a whole bunch of kids or teens in a blended group. We had two up there who enjoyed it immensely. The downstairs bedrooms and side ramp into the house makes it largely "accessible" for most would-be guests.
We started and ended our days taking the access trail cut down the slope to the water to watch the sunrise or sunset and waves break over the rocky shore, enjoyed cozy evenings in the living room, breakfast and dinners eaten in, and everyone made friendly arguments that no, their bedroom was the best. The house is well-situated to take day excursions in every direction--not too far at all to get to Acadia or West Quoddy Head (for example, and what we did!). It's also definitely a destination in itself if anyone is wanting a "lazy day" in. Do: read the guest book and the host's ongoing updates between guest entries, take your morning tea on the patio, scramble on the beach rocks, see the charming village of Corea, and get to Corea Heath bog just down the road. Recommended!
