Works well for group

We came for SFF with 7 total people. Loved having a quiet place to regroup, make meals, visit with friends. Beds are comfy. We’ll stocked kitchen. Would rent again.

Family reunion

A very nice house. We had an amazing time here. Coming from the Netherlands we enjoyed every moment. Kids loved to cycle and played tennis in the garden. The house is well equipped!

Wonderful stay

We love this house, yard, & neighborhood - it's our third stay! House-comfortable, roomy, & has everything you'd need. Wrap around covered porch with picnic tables for outdoor dining. Traeger & new, large gas grill make grilling fun. Yard-large, fenced, shaded grassy area for lounging or badminton, etc. Neighborhood-quiet, walkable, friendly, with pickleball & swimming. Minutes from Sisters & golf. A great vacation!

Wonderful home and location!

This is a beautiful home with abundance of space. It is the perfect home to enjoy time together playing cards or a board game, or to have your own space. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed cooking in, using the Traeger, sitting on the front porch, walking to the pool, and watching the deer walk across the lawn. It was nice to fish and hike during the days and have such a comfortable place to come back to. Kathy was wonderful to work with on renting the property and it was seamless from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this home and would stay there again.

Tollgate Stay

We have traveled to Sisters for 10 years to attend the July week of quilting classes plus the Saturday Outdoor Quilt Show. This was our most comfortable stay. The cabin was perfect for our needs, with a wonderful back porch with two picnic tables and a backyard where we could watch deer and their fawns moving between houses. The dining room table was big enough for all of us to have a work area. We each had our own bedroom. It was a delightful time.

Great family stay!

This was perfect for our family stay for our son's wedding! Loved the log cabin feel, right down to the furnishings, bathroom fixtures, etc. It was super clean, fridge was extra large, nice backyard deck to hang out, lawn with family games to play. Kitchen was fully equipped, we put the outdoor BBQ to good use, laundry facilities were great. Location was perfect - close to grocery (no need to get across the busy downtown area). A couple of minor issues with bathroom faucets were reported. Suggest that bathroom photos be included in the listing - that was almost a deal-breaker. The bathrooms are perfectly fine for this house! Overall, loved it and would stay again if ever in the area.

One of our best vacations, ever!

We have had a wonderful time! This home and location have been one of the top places we've stayed. Although we were busy hiking, biking, water skiing and all things outdoors it was so great to come back and play ping pong, badminton, work on a puzzle on the large table and enjoy the beauty of the area from the front and back yards. After fun filled days, each night we'd take walks around the beautiful neighborhood along with many warm and smiling faces and play volleyball and at shoot hoops at the community center. We had dinner outside one night at the Black Butte Lakeside Bistro and enjoyed the lake views and sunset. We spent a day at Billy Chinook Lake wake boarding and tubing. We hiked to the breathtaking Blue Pools, the Sahelie and Koosah waterfalls. What a wonderful family vacation. The home had everything we needed, in abundance and the log cabin style was warm, relaxing and very very clean. We highly recommend and look forward to returning soon!

This is our third visit. We love staying here. There was a fire in the area (the Flat fire) during our stay and the host made sure we had the information we needed to be aware of what was happening and to stay safe. I appreciated her staying in touch and checking in.

We (husband and me) shared this house with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, plus our son for a few days(he needed to leave early) so we could see family from across the country, all staying in the same area, we had a great time, and having such a comfortable place was a big part of that!

Great location for exploring Central Oregon and Sisters. We would have given it 5 stars if the tv would have been more user friendly which, I believe, is being rectified. We used both bbq’s and ate most breakfasts and dinners there so appreciated the full service kitchen and enjoyed comfortable bedrooms.

This is a very nice house in Tollgate community. If you like log-cabin theme and log furniture then this is the place for you.Many things were top notch, such as mattress quality, sheets quality, and all appliances.There were a few missing items such as no scissors or BBQ cleaning brush. Also, as can be expected in a VRBO rental, some heavy-use items were past the point of needing to be repaired or replaced, such as one couch's springs, bicycles, and ping pong paddles. Don't expect super cool air conditioning on a hot day.A house with logs for walls, by its nature, will have low insulation. One wonders if this justifies the homeowner limiting the air condition setting remotely to 73 degrees downstairs, which was the situation we encountered for our first two evenings. This meant that temps in the low 90s outside resulted in the upstairs being a minimum of 76 degrees in the evening for getting to sleep. Several communications with the homeowners eventually resulted in them allowing the minimum A/C setting to be 69 degrees for the first floor of the house.The Tollgate shared facility has a very nice pool area (no hot tub though), along with nice courts for pickle ball, basketball, park, etc.All in all, staying in this house was a nice experience. Just be advised that it may be better to visit the house during mild times of the year for temperatures due to the home's low insulation values in the walls.

Amazing!

My 7 cousins and I booked this house for a girls' weekend and we couldn't have been happier! Lots of room, everything we could need and great location. Would absolute stay here again.

We've been blessed with great careers, good health, a wonderful family and many dear friends!!! Our motto is 'WORK HARD, PLAY HARDER'!

We asked ourselves, if we could invest in our future and the future of our children and their children, what might the best investment be??? The answer seemed perfectly clear to Dave (my husband) as we passed this wonderful cabin again and again!! “That's it!”, he'd exclaim, as we'd continue driving, searching for a lesser home. “That's it, that's the one!”
So, we finally pulled in and peeked around. As it turned out, it really was it!!!!

Dave and I reside in Salem, with our American Eski’s, near our adult children and grandchildren!

Dave operates Dave Power Automotive and Marine, while I enjoy helping home buyer’s and seller’s realize their real estate dreams!

Bill and Joan live in Sisters. They fell in love with Central Oregon first, having resided here back in the '60's After working as a teacher and scientist in the Salem area for over 30 years, they returned to beautiful Central Oregon to enjoy the sunshine and scenery!

Collectively, we've been married over100 years! Our son, Jake married his beautiful bride, Jenny in a delightfully picturesque backyard wedding (here) in August 2014!

Our home is situated on a half acre, in lovely Tollgate, a peaceful, family friendly villiage just a 5 minute drive to the heart of downtown Sisters!
