Visit during birth of second grandchild

Accommodations were perfect. Close to everything but also quiet. Great walking along canals and marinas. Separate bedroom a plus.

SUPER place for visiting son and exploring LA. Grab it!!

We had a WONDERFUL stay at this property!!!! The apartment itself was immaculate. Very sharp decor, yet still cozy. Unbelievably comfortable bed. The location is great. Friendly neighborhood. We had morning walks along, Ballona Lagoon out to the beach and to the pier every day. Quick walk to the best breakfast I've had in a loooong time. Easy access to the main drags, so getting to and from all points LA was a breeze. Our host, Mark, was SO NICE!! Very helpful from beginning to end in all ways, from finding great places to eat to getting groceries to helping with our departure transportation. There are a lot of little cool extras in the apartment, but I don't want to be a spoiler! Our son advised us to grab this spot as soon as he saw it, and I advise you to do the same after you read this!!! Best stay by far we've ever had in all our Vrbo/AirB&B experiences!!!

Immaculate. Great location.

Perfect spot for our long stay. Well located for driving to everything west of LA. and only about 20 minutes from LAX terminals. Easy walk to ocean, and the Ocean Front Walk that takes you through Venice and into Santa Monica. Space was immaculate and well-equipped. Host could not have been more helpful and easy to work with.

A Week in Paradise!

We loved our stay at Mark’s property. Comfy bed with beautiful linens and plush towels. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need. The apartment itself is super close to the beach and Marina walking path. We hope to be back very soon!

Mini Vacation

This was the most efficient, accommodating, restful vacation we have had. The apartment was lovely, complete and had everything we needed and didn't know we needed. Thank you Mark for making such a really nice place to stay.

Great place for two people

Mark was a great host with excellent communication. The unit was comfortable and well equipped with a beautiful private garden space. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. We were able to walk to along the beach path through Venice beach to the Santa Monica pier. Marina del Rey is an easy drive from the airport and to SoFi stadium.

Everything we needed

The facility was accurately advertised, well equipped and when a need arose mark was very responsive. It was just a short walk to the beach and a long walk to the food shops if you don't have a car, but ride share prices were fine.

Fantastic property in fantastic location

This guest suite was clean and designed well. Bed, bedding and pillows were great. Ceiling fan helped cool the bedroom at night with window open (no need for aircon in November). Comfortable couch and tv with well stocked kitchen. Easy access to the beach.

LA sightseeing

We were visiting our daughter who is going to school at the American Film Institute in the Hollywood Hills so we wanted something close, but would also give us a base point if we wanted to spend time near the Ocean. The neighborhood was very nice and it was a short walk to the Ocean. It was helpful to have a designated parking space too! I just wish the rental car company hadn't switched us to a Minivan as the spot is rather narrow. I had to let my wife out to get into the unit so I could park with enough room for me to get out of the car.

Great beach apartment

This place is a great little apartment tucked in a nice quite neighborhood. It only took us 8 minutes to walk to the beach. I think we were about 15 minutes to walk down to the restaurants and market on Washington (two for one drinks from 4-8 every day at Cabo Cantina!). The location is great for going to and from LAX and SoFi Stadium. I think we were only 30 minutes to SoFi on event nights, one on Friday and one on Sunday. The place was well equipped with everything we needed. We cooked breakfast every morning. We definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Fantastic!

We really enjoyed our two-week stay at Mark's condo. The condo space is so well laid out, with the bedroom completely separate from the living room and kitchen. The back patio and garden is charming and features a beautiful waterfall. We loved the residential feel of the area, as it is off the beaten path a bit but very close to the Venice boardwalk, with its many shops and restaurants. We easily cycled and walked to Trader Joe's and Ralphs. Best of all, host Mark is welcoming and accommodating. We appreciated both him as our host, and his beautiful condo.

Exceeded our Expectations!

This is a delightful place for two. Very clean; comfortable; upscale furnishings; well equipped kitchen; everything you need is provided, including beach towels, chairs and an umbrella. The beach is a pleasant 5 minute walk along a footpath that is next to a natural wetlands preserve. The bedroom French doors open up onto a lovely lush patio with a small ornamental waterfall. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee and pre dinner drinks on the patio. I doubt we would have found anything better than Mark's Elegant Guest House!

Serene And Lovely Escape

I could not agree more with all the prior and complete comments made by guests staying at the "Elegant Guest House"! The compact and cozy quarters truly had all the comforts and conveniences of an elegant home which was immaculate upon my arrival. Doors (2) opening to the outside are oriented in a north-south direction as to allow the cool sea breeze to pass through the unit. Wonderful! Little did I expect to see, upon my arrival, fresh fruit in a bowl, a welcoming letter, bottled drinking water, soft and fluffy towels, and high quality soaps, lotion, shampoo and conditioner for one's use. The well-spoken and gracious landlord, Mark, overlooked no details in providing an inviting and quiet space for a vacation, a space that, indeed, is very tastefully decorated. It is also clear that the landlord takes genuine pleasure in making sure his tenants have a most enjoyable stay. Thank you, Mark.

Awesome Location!

First let me say I own a property and use VRBO. And I grew up a couple of towns over. Location is convenient to silver strand, ocean, main strand, Venice Beach and everything the South Bay has to offer. It’s a small comfy first floor condo . Comfy bed and couch. Nice small kitchen. No dishwasher, half size refrigerator. It’s decked out with most of the cooking items I needed. Great coffee maker and coffee pods were provided. Which was really nice. The unit has air conditioning included throughout the whole building. The unit has access to a really nice patio with a water feature that is for the whole building. The unit has a parking spot which fit my Subaru Outback, but it’s not going to fit any vehicle larger than that. The owner was very nice, and lives in the building. He greeted us upon arrival even though it was late at night, and there was a nice welcoming form letter. The book of information inside is great for WiFi and access codes. The unit has a physical key entry , not an electronic secret code entry. The front door is glass and it has a sturdy front screen door. The rear french doors are glass as well that lead to the water feature patio. The unit was clean, but has a mold/mildew smell in the cabinet to the left of the closet in the bedroom. The unit is dark without the lights on, there are small windows on the outside wall. There is a fan and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. There are security cameras all around the outside of the building. When booking the unit there is no refund for any reason, and I needed to due to job. Upon arrival the owner notified us that one of the days we would be without power due to city maintenance. But if there is no electrical then nothing works in the whole unit. No hot shower. I mean nothing. And the power was off from the morning for about 6 hours. The owner did end up refunding half of the day cost for us. Which I really appreciated. Then the other item was that a person came right up to the glass door and jiggled the door handle to apparently come in. The first time I blew it off. The second time my daughter and I were watching TV and a person came up and jiggled the glass door handle and not shyly and then stood there for a good minute. We could see the shadow of a person through the glass door. I did not open it. I asked the owner was that you? He said, no. And then said Bizarre. We packed up and left a day early. The owner did end up refunding us that last night stay. Which I appreciated.

Great place to stay in Marina del Rey!

We stayed for a week during Christmas. This guest house is immaculately clean and well-appointed with everything we needed. It's in a great location on a quiet street adjacent to the walking trails along Ballona lagoon and it's a 5 minute walk to the beach. The carport is small but as long as you don't have a large vehicle like a full-size SUV or pickup truck you'll be fine. Mark was a great host and immediately responded to our questions.

Marina Del Ray get away

Loved this location and will definitely be back! We were in town to visit our daughter who lives in Culver but wanted a less city feel. This location was great in proximity to her and being able to walk our dogs. The surrounding area was perfect for that. Us & our pups very much enjoyed the location & scenery. Very quiet property. Loved our stay!
