Just an Incredible Vermont Mountain Retreat

Gen Description-Charmingly decorated to reflect past and present, this woodland cabin on 24 private acres and 5 mins to town has 3 log bedrooms and 2 bathrooms one of which is a period style bath w/Jacuzzi tub! This has a spacious country style living room offering amazing views, has a wood stove with glass front to enjoy a dancing fire. Extremely well stocked cook's kitchen will make any gourmet smile. The 9' long dining table looks out over flowering gardens and blueberry patches in summer or snow covered meadows in winter.

The log staircase extends from the living room to large bedroom loft with breathtaking distant views of the green mountains and Stratton Mountain ski resort.

Another cozy log bedroom is adjacent the kitchen.

Our front lawns and meadow once used as a private landing strip for the original hunters lodge.

Behind the home another 5 acres offers access to plush pine woodlands and private nature trails that lead to a babbling mountain brook. Don't be surprised if a wild turkey crosses your path on the property.

Vacation rentals of more than 3 days will allow access to laundry room (washer and dryer).

Given the winter hideaway location, it is strongly suggested that guests have 4 wheel or all-wheel drive type vehicles.

Traditionally, our trails have served classic cross-country skiers, but in 2018 we built a new 3k trail to accommodate both classic and skate skiing.

The house is secluded but with convenient enough access to a supermarket, convenience stores and restaurants. Skiers abound in the season with 3 resorts in close proximity.

In spring and summer there are many farmer's markets and events in the Londonderry area.

Notable establishments and events near Londonderry include D Lasser Ceramics, Viking Nordic Center, Vermont Country Store and Weston Playhouse

While the house is lodged in niche area of woods - the roads leading to it are maintained and just a few short minutes from main roads.

Given the area in winter - all wheel drive or 4-wheel drive cars/trucks are best way to get around in the winter season.
