Great for overnight accommodation

We really only slept and had breakfast here so it worked out perfect for us. Close enough to everything else if you needed to make a mid day trip back.

Nice place, great location.

All in all the place was great! It was obviously “lived in” with stains on carpet and some damage on the walls, but nothing major. It was well maintained outside and the large deck was great. We loved the location of this property and it’s close proximity to everything. Would definitely recommend this place to any larger group looking for somewhere to stay.

Good location

We were only there for a few days but the community is cute our cabin was pricey for the what you get. The porch picnic table had deteriorating wood and full of cob webs. The kitchen had few utensils and bedrooms were set up to crash there. It’s not a place you want to “hang out in” unless you are like 20 years old and partying with friends. I am much older and was hoping for something much nicer. I would not rent this place again.

Golf carts were delivered prior to our arrival. We had plenty of room for the 7 of us! Including comfortable beds, pillows and bedding. Cabin was clean. Had plenty of paper products that were supplied. The gas grill was clean and ready for cookout. Our mutual concern was that the carpets needed cleaned. And the hodge podge picture hanging where ever there was a nail could have used more thought to the decorating. All in all it was a great place to enjoy family vacation! Nice exterior, dirty cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented cabin #93. On the outside, it is beautiful and very well maintained. The inside appeared clean but, smelled very musty and there was mold in the bathrooms and in the skylights. The carpet was filthy. After walking from the bedroom to the kitchen my feet were black. The furniture had a dirty, sticky feel to it. I had rented a golf cart. It took two phones calls and 45 minutes for it to be delivered to the cabin. The beds were very uncomfortable and the mattresses need to be replaced. We will definitely visit Put in Bay again but, we won't stay here.

But we were not going to sit there waiting for someone to come. So for 2 nights we just made best of it. Many things were broken but oh well. Floors in all rooms were really dirty and carpet well we didn't take our shoes off. The bathroom showers were clean. The toilet moves on the floor. Let's just say cabin #93 would not be our pick. I can say the people that I talked with over the phone to book the cabin were very nice and helpful because we had never stayed on Island before.

Disappointed party

We reserved this party for a girls weekend, we found the online listing to be deceptive upon our arrival. We paid $100.00 for linens which we found our beds unmade and all linens to be folded in trash bags with only one hand towel for two bathrooms, bed sheets in old poor condition with multiple stains found on one of the bed comforters, multiple incidents of physical damage (dents, holes, large broken trim), large dark stains on the carpets, both bathrooms did not appear cleaned as there was hair and grime found on the floors and windows unclean, food found on carpet in living room, and our grills starter button was damaged and non existent. This was a very disappointing situation based on the cost of the property. This is a location we would never rent again and not refer to others.

#93 Review

We stayed at #93 for Kid Rock Bash at the bay. 3 couples. Overall the property was fine. The beds were very uncomfortable and mattresses need replaced. Furniture inside in need of updating as well as carpet. It would have been nice if the unit would have provided towels. We had to bring towels, sheets, blankets, along with our food and clothes, so a lot to haul over for 2-3 day stay. Blankets on bed were pretty nasty and blood stains on pillows that were provided. Bathrooms need rugs, when you get out of the shower, it is very slippery (ended up using our towels we brought to dry off). There was also no wash cloth to wash dishes or towels to dry the dishes. At the minimum kitchen towel and dish cloth should be provided. Sliding doors don’t lock without placing the wood stick inside. Also, would be nice to have a screen in the slider to keep open And get fresh air. Refrigerator did not stay real cold, even after adjusting temperature a few times. Staff was friendly and the shuttle drivers to and from town were very nice as well. $3 pp each way is the fare price. We are in our 40’s and not 20’s, so we are a little more particular with things, but overall....... considering what we were there for, the unit served the purpose. Would probably not want to stay more than a few days there unless they did some updates. #93 does have a great deck with gas grill and seating. #93 is one of the better looking units in the lot. Walking distance to a few attractions. Need shuttle for downtown.

Totally Surprised and Very Sad

When we walked into the property we were assigned we were quite shocked. The place was very dull and dingy, curtains and carpeting were stained giving off the impression the place had not been cleaned. The sliding doors and back screen doors did not close properly, the rugs on the floors were all bent up giving way to tripping over them. We contacted Dotte (name on refrigerator) and she sent a property agent over right away. He was quite helpful and very nice. He took us across the street to a different cabin and I must say it was better but not that much. The place had furniture that looked like it had been there for a 100 years. All marred, shredding leather, stained and bent up carpet, stained curtains, broken doors. We were quite disappointed in how the places we were given looked/prepared, even the plastic container of soap in the bathroom was crunched up. I've been to Put in Bay several times and have never experienced anything like this. I realize its a party town and mostly kids party up there, but the way the cabins were, I would not stay in them again. I apologize for being negative in an extremely negative world, but the two places that we saw on our visit were not truly fit to rent. I did take several pictures if you would like to see them. run down house with plastic bed covers

the house was nice, ok equipped with fridge/stove/washer/dryer, not expensive. but... the carpets had many stains, the whole house was worn down, the mattresses had plastic covers around them. you can tell many parties have been celebrated here. we needed to bring our own pillow cases, towels and sheets. we were not allowed to check in before 4pm, even though the house was not rented out the night before and we went during off season. the bathroom seemed superficially clean, but with a closer look... next time we invest more money!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the price this is not worth it. The cabin was dirty, stains all over furniture and flooring. Reminded me of an unkept college dorm room. It was a place to stay and surrounding area seemed safe. The cabin was unlocked already when we got there. It seems unrealistic not to have towels or sheets (however that was mentioned in the agreement). I would not stay here again unless it was significantly less money.

wonderful stay at Put in Bay

We did have an issue with ants. Bathrooms were not cleaned very well a lot of hair in shower and such. Couches in living room were broken.
