About this space
The Dawdy House at Little Cove is a brand new smoky mountain getaway Enjoy the peaceful quiet mornings on the porch watching the turkeys make their way through the mountain, or relaxing & visiting with a cup of coffee in a rocker or swing on the porch. Little Cove takes us back in time to a less busy life. We hope you will come and enjoy our special, happy place. The cabin can accommodate up to 4 guests. No pets allowed. The owners are available if needed.
The space
The guest house is on a private, gated property shared by 2 owners that also share the same driveway. The cabin is connected to the cabin on the right at the top of mountain. Parking sign is posted to the right. There is a kitchenette, living area, dining area, bedroom with 2 full size beds and a full size bath. There are 2 (electric) fireplaces for cozy mountain cool nights. Lots of porch area to enjoy.
Guest access
Guests are welcome at either entrance to porches and any of the L shaped porch area to enjoy and relax.
Other things to note
The owners will be in and out so not to bother the guest. It is our wish that our guests will experience the many activities that brings so many back to the Smokies each year. Mountain views and streams, hiking , biking, zip lines, tubing, whitewater rafting, most of all history of the Smoky mountains. Our most favorite is Cade's Cove.

Excellent Little Cabin

This was our second time staying at The Dawdy House. The cabin its self is very cozy. It’s great to sit on the porch relaxing and watch time go by. Kind of centrally located to everything. The hosts are phenomenal, they are great people who will visit, and still give you privacy. They were very helpful with suggestions on places to go, and things to do. We love this place, and can’t wait to go back. Thank you again for a wonderful vacation !!!

Home away from home!

We came in for a short visit to stay at The Dawdy House Cabin and it was perfect place for a quiet peaceful getaway for the weekend. Mrs.Darlene & Mr. Roger were so sweet and greeted us upon arrival with some delicious cookies! We so enjoyed coffee on the porch with great conversation. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin:)

We loved the Dawdy House!

What a great place with great hosts! Immaculate, well organized, cozy, great location, wildlife...you will love it here. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend. Only maybe 15 minutes from the main drag in Pigeon Forge, plenty to explore. Thanks for the great place!

Perfect Getaway!!

We could not be happier with the experience. The location was perfect with quick access to Townsend, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. The owners were super friendly, and the cabin was impeccable. Everything was smooth and easy, and we hope to go back again!!!

Great stay

Great way to end a horrible drive through 16 hours of snow and ice. Were very accommodating even offer an extra night and great discount do to the awful weather. Thank you for saving our vacation

Perfect Getaway for Two

We reserved this cabin kind of at the last minute. It isn't big, but it is perfect for a couple people. The first thing we noticed when we entered was how clean it was. Everything was decorated for Christmas. When we arrived the owner of the cabin brought us chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven! The owners were super nice and very helpful. You get an experience living up in the mountains. Everything is very quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this cabin! Hope to come back again soon.

Special find

My daughter and I visited for an extended weekend from October 10th-14th. As soon as we walked in we felt welcomed and at home. Darlene is a special soul and it was evident that she puts great effort into making this cabin a home away from home for her guests. Our stay was peaceful and enjoyable! The cabin had everything we needed to accommodate us. The location was in close proximity to all of our planned activities within Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville. We most definitely will stay here again and I have already shared with friends. Thank you to Darlene and Roger for being great hosts and making us feel safe and welcomed!

Beautiful Cabin in the woods.

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin! The location is perfect, surrounded by peaceful woods and amazing wildlife – we spotted bears, turkeys, raccoons, and gorgeous birds. The cabin was cozy, calm, and just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. A big thank you to our lovely host, Darlene, who made our stay even more special with her kindness. Relaxing stay

Cabin was clean and like new condition, very quiet and relaxing location, hosts were very polite and respectful of privacy and few times we seen them very polite and friendly. Recommend everyone stay here except when I want to! Lol Hard cabin to beat!

The best stay ever

Darlene and Roger are the kindest people I have met so far in the USA. The cabin is so cute and provided with everything you could possibly need. There is lots of wildlife to be seen from the rocking chairs on the porch . Life couldn’t get better than this.

At Home Feelig

Very Comfortable Cabin

The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We were greeted with a small gift box of chocolate chip cookies. Yum! Roger and Darlene were very nice hosts. We enjoyed looking out the window and seeing squirrels, rabbits, and wild turkeys eating in the wooded area just outside our window. It was very quiet and peaceful. The beds have very firm mattresses. Would stay there again.

Cleanest place we have ever stayed!

I am always nervous to try new places. I search reviews a long time for clean and affordable places! This place exceeded my expectations for sure. My kids loved the snacks and homemade cookies! My daughter loved feeding the raccoon😊 Great conversations on the porch… it felt like home! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a very relaxing weekend. The property is immaculate. We have rented several cabins in TN over the years and this one beats them all. Owners are super nice and its a great location. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and more.
