NW Burnt Store, Saltwater Pool, Southern Exposure - Welcome to My Happy Place!
My Happy Place is a serene and inviting retreat located in the peaceful Burnt Store area of Northwest Cape Coral. This private home boasts a bright and spacious interior featuring three guest rooms (King/Queen/Queen) and two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a southern-exposure lanai area with a heated salt-water pool.
My Happy Place (MHP) can comfortably accommodate six adults. The layout of MHP is practical and user-friendly, with all the rooms situated on one level. All bedrooms have smart TVs, ceiling fans, dressers and closets.
The private master suite features a comfortable king-sized bed, large flat screen TV, coffered ceiling with fan, slider to the lanai and pool, private bath with private loo room, walk-in stall shower (with wand shower head) & walk-in closet.
The guest bedrooms are located off their own private hallway opposite the master suite so everyone can enjoy some privacy. Each bedroom features a comfortable Queen-sized bed, flat screen TV, and ceiling fans. The guest bedrooms share a full bath that provides direct access to the pool area.
MHP offers a fully stocked kitchen that includes dining and drink ware, plastic ware for outside, a full set of non-stick cooking pots and pans, baking sheets, casserole dishes, cutting boards, cooking utensils and more! We also feature a gas grill on the lanai so you can enjoy your meals poolside.
Our pool features a generous sun shelf with bubbler, and colorful LED lighting. The pool, cage and lanai area were installed in 2023 and feature a heated, salt-water system. Pool will be heated up to 86 degrees per day. Enjoy a day of sunshine in the south-facing pool or relax in the shade of our comfortable under-truss lanai.
MHP is geared for outdoor living with an outdoor flat screen TV, outdoor dining and a gas grill, all inside our large fully screened-in pool cage. We also offer a safety gate for the pool that can be installed or removed easily as needed.
My Happy Place is a great place to relax and enjoy the Southern Florida life-style. We are situated in a quiet and peaceful residential neighborhood with minimal through traffic in close proximity to Matlacha, Pine Island, Punta Gorda, shops, restaurants & bars, golf courses, Burnt Store Boat Ramp, Burnt Store Marina, Sun Splash Water Park and more! We are less than an hour's drive from Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach. We are less than an hour's drive from SW Florida International Airport (RSW) to the south or Punta Gorda Airport to the north.
My Happy Place is more than just a vacation rental; it was our home when we first lived in Cape Coral. We love this home and now use it for our own family and friends. We hope that you will find it as enjoyable as we have!

Hello, we're Mike & Claire Magee, and we're originally from Oregon. We purchased My Happy Place so that we would have a place to live while we built our new home in Cape Coral. We really love this home and decided to keep it to use as a vacation rental and place for our own family and friends to visit.

We were looking for a place that could provide peace and relaxation. We chose our neighborhood because it is quiet, yet still close to amenities like shops and restaurants. This home had been well cared for by the previous owners and we really loved the floor plan and size. We loved the warm feeling that we got from the south-facing lanai and southern exposure of the living areas and master bedroom.
We decided that it would be more enjoyable for us and would make a better vacation rental if we added a pool, which we did in 2023. We loved the house before the pool, but I have to admit that we love it even more WITH the pool!
Our neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are nice. We are located on a residential street, not a through street. We found the neighborhood to be quiet and safe.

The home is light and bright and feels warm and comfortable with casual decor. The floor plan offers areas for togetherness as well as privacy. The pool area is like it's own outdoor room. The southern exposure maximizes the sun exposure to the deck and pool and the under-truss lanai provides lovely shade.
Though we are situated in a neighborhood, our property feels private and quiet and is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
