Nya sängar och soffor! Koppla av på däcket i denna privata, rymliga badort som lyssnar till ljudet från havet och fåglarna. Den enorma öppna vardagsrum / matsal har katedraltak, takfläkt och är perfekt för familj middagar och underhållande. Det nyrenoverade granitköket är öppet mot vardagsrummet och alla 3 sovrummen är ljusa och rena med nya golv, sängar, färg och nya fönster i hela. Hallbadrummet har nya golv, belysning och skåp. Det stora sovrummet har ett bifogat badrum med w / d. Väggen i fönster och skjutreglage som ser ut mot däck med kolgrill, ser också ut mot en enorm bakgård och en stenmur. När du går 5 minuter ner på den privata vägen kommer du till en pittoresk vik med kajaker och segelbåtar. Härligt familjeområde. En kajak är tillgänglig för att ta lugn åk på floden Westport bara några steg bort. En 5 minuters resa till spektakulära havsstränder. Naturreservat, fantastiska restauranger, ridning och filmer, museer, gallerior och minigolf är alla 10-20 minuters resa bort.
Huset har en queen size-säng i sovrummet. Andra sovrum har fulla sängar. Sängkläder och handdukar tillhandahålls.

Wonderful, quiet Westport Point beach house

Stayed here for a week while visiting family in the area. This is a beautiful house in quiet, quaint, coastal Westport. Spacious, clean, great back deck. Walking down the path to Westport river, tide-pooling, and using the owner's canoe was a real kid-pleaser. With Horseneck Beach and Gooseberry Island, a short drive away, this is a great summer spot. For an extra taste of New England, go to Westport Point Village (just a mile or so away) and buy lobsters directly from the boat (I believe it was named The Goose.) Monica was a pleasure to work with... clear, quick communications. Highly, highly recommended.

Lots of minor issues

Beautiful cottage and property. Lovely walk to the river. Deers playing in the backyard, but we were greeted by a mountain of garbage at the front of the house and a host of minor issues, including inaccurate info on the cable and wifi. Took several days and many hours of my hubby's time to address. One of dining chairs was broken. After playing a cleanup the garbage game with my granddaughter which she loved, I was surprised and dismayed to get a message about a rip in a dining room chair. We had done so much to be excellent guests and to inform the owner on the many minor repairs needed such as the shower curtain that attacked everyone who had a shower. Still had a wonderf family time, bit sheesh. Normally we get thanks after our stays. We won't be back.

Dear Isabel, I am so sorry that your stay was less than optimal. I have addressed all the issues you brought up as my main concern is that you have a wonderful time. As the house was recently renovated prior to your stay, it is possible that there were a few things that needed extra attention. All has been resolved. I am sorry you were not happy.

Beautiful Westport Spot!

I loved this house! It was clean, neat and a great location! We could get to the beach in less than 5 min by car. Every morning a mama deer and her two fawns would walk through the yard as we were having coffee in the morning! The outdoor shower was great and access to the Westport River at the end of the road was lovely! We will certainly be back. Thanks for sharing your property Monica!

Perfect location

We love Westport!! Great location. Don't miss taking advantage of the kayaks and eating lobster rolls at the Point. We also loved biking to Cherry and Web Beach and eating ice cream nightly at Handy Hill. Had an amazing time!!

Westport stay

Quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Lovely back deck and backyard. Proximity to state beach, local stores and restaurants. Size right for a family of 5. Would be very nice in fall, too.

Great house for the beach

We loved staying at this little house, and were able to bike to Horseneck Beach from this location. Nice big room for dinners and relaxing. Kitchen was nice, a bit bare-bones but we made do. Couldn’t get the Netflix to work on the TV, as it didn’t connect to the internet; not sure what the problem was. But otherwise WiFi worked well. Lovely backyard too, and we made some great family memories. Thanks!

Nice location. Roomy house. Quiet. Very usable kitchen.

Overall, it was a pleasant 11 days. (Cheerful morning bird sounds. Frequent backyard visits from a doe and her fauns.) The only issue was a strong (stale? musty? mildew? I'm not sure how to characterize it) odor from the living room chairs and sofas. Minor concern: Had to leave the property to get a strong, consistent cell phone signal.

week at westport july 1-9 2012

WE enjoyed ou stay at this house. The spacious living room and dining area was great,as the deck in back of the house. The bedrooms were comfortable for sleeping with window fns in each room.I liked the privacy of the setting with rabbits and birds galore. It was easy to get to the beaches as well as the stores for shopping. And Grey's ice cream is not to be missed. The blueberries ripened early this year so we did a lot of picking. Great house to relax in!!!!!

Nice house on a quiet private lane

We had a wonderful 2-week stay in this charming house in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely woodland setting. We were surprised at the roominess of the house and the large open deck out back, with a large yard surrounded by woods. We picked wild raspberries on our walk to the end of the lane to the bay. The view from there is gorgeous. There is really no place to swim or sit and enjoy the water from there, but a canoe available, which we did not take advantage of. Horseneck Beach and Gooseberry neck were only a short drive away and easily accessible. Shopping and dining are a few minutes drive away. Check out Handy Hill for the best ice cream ever. Marguerites restaurant, Bayside and the Healthy Grill in Dartmouth were also very good. Also, the Westport winery. The only negative was that the house is in a cell phone dead zone. The house phone can only be used for local or incoming calls, so bring a phone card or be prepared to drive about 5 miles to get cell service. Luckily there is wi fi, and we were able to skype. All in all we enjoyed our stay immensely and found the home to be roomy and well-equipped. Would recommend it to anyone looking to get away from it all.

This house was my grandparents vacation and then retirement home. I love that the town hasn't changed for 50 years and remains a quaint beach community. No traffic issues from the Boston area is a huge plus as well.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

I love Perry's Bakery, the fantastic Lee's Market, the great ice cream at Handy Hill Creamery, and the many farms and country fruit and vegetable stands down the road. Great biking as well!
