The nicest house yet that we have stayed in by far in the last 25 years coming up to the Boone area. Paul was the best at communicating with us and all the house has to offer. The beds were very comfy, the kitchen was fully stocked and the deck area was just awesome!! Would highly recommend this house and our family will definitely be back!!

My family's females travel together several times a year. This home literally provided everything we could have ever needed. It's obvious the host's family has spent lots of time there and that this is not just rental property, but a mountain home! Thanks for sharing it with us last week. We enjoyed every minute!

This place was amazing for our stay with 8 adults and 4 kids all under 8. The house was exceptionally clean and furnished with high quality items rather than the cheap vacation-rental ware that we often see. It felt like the owner actually used this house for their own family and we were just using it for the weekend. Access to the tennis courts and swimming pool was a great bonus. The MVP though was the selection of games, toys, and puzzles for our kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful mountain house. It is very well-equipped and nice spacious rooms. We liked how every bedroom had its own bathroom. The house is in very close proximity to many outings such as Blowing Rock, Boone, and Grandfather mountain winery. The owner was super to communicate with throughout the stay. Can’t recommend this house enough!

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property. Paul was an excellent host. His communication was very clear, and he was always quick to respond.The house was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was very well stocked, and everything was exactly as described and pictured. We especially enjoyed the game room, including the arcade games, which were a fun bit of nostalgia for those of us in the 50 crowd, and the darts.The location was ideal for exploring both Blowing Rock and Boone, while the house itself felt incredibly private. The large back deck had a beautiful view, and it really felt like we were completely isolated from any other properties on the mountain.Access to the Yonahlossee Swim & Racquet Club was a nice bonus. We were having so much fun hiking, exploring Boone and Blowing Rock, and enjoying the game room that we never found time to use it.A great mountain getaway. We would happily stay here again.

Amazing and Pleasant Stay

We had, great time at the property. Paul and Laura took great care and ensure we have a very comfortable stay. The house was well equipped and every corner of the house was used aptly. We do recommend to stay this house and we will also like to stay again, thanks once again Paul and Laura.

Perfect

Spacious property for 13 people over Easter. The location for extended weekend enjoying Boone, Blowing Rock, and Blue Ridge Parkway was perfect. Property had everything we needed and much more. The community amenities were very nice and people were very friendly to guests. The hosts communication prior to arrival was top notch. Would recommend to all.

This was the nicest rental home we have ever stayed in. The owners were so thoughtful and went the extra mile to ensure the home was well kept and exceptionally clean. The floor plan accommodated our crew of 12 and there was plenty of room for everyone from the main great room, to the game room on lower level and large deck overlooking the beautiful woods. We enjoyed all the amenities at the club and found the location extremely convenient to Blowing Rock, restaurants and other area attractions. We can't say enough about how kind, thoughtful and accommodating the owners of this property were. They thought of everything, which ensured our family had the most enjoyable week!!

Perfect!

This stay was perfect! There is not one thing I would recommend changing. Laura and Paul were very responsive with all of my questions even prior to booking. Their home was a perfect location for our family to gather for our daughter's graduation from Appalachian. They had every single detail covered! I wish we had found this spot sooner! Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a rental in this area!

5 Star for High Country Escape

High Country Escape far exceeded our expectations. There was something there for everybody and when I said everybody, we had 5 adults and a 10 month old. They provided toys and a pack and play for the baby and pool/ping pong and a poker table for the adults. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing which is what we needing. Close to hikes at Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and West Jefferson (hike the scenic lookout). We have stayed in a half dozen cabins in North Georgia and North Carolina and this was the best. Laura and Paul are such great hosts with every detail explained. Loved it totally

Great house and hosts

We really enjoyed this house and the hosts. Over the years we have stayed at a ton of rentals, and this was by far the best organized and equipped. The QR code they have around the house tells you everything you need to know about the property and surrounding area. If you still have questions, the hosts are very communicative. We had an issue in the house, and the hosts were sympathetic and immediately remedied the situation. A contractor showed up the next morning to fix the issue. I cannot recommend this home, location, neighborhood, and hosts enough!

Mountain trip

This was one of the best stocked vacation houses we’ve ever stayed in. There is a large closet upstairs for infant and toddler items: gates, booster seats, porta crib, books, etc. Before bringing all the “baby stuff” contact Paul, the host. He was very punctual in getting back to me re: questions. The house has a really nice gas grill, fire pit on the same porch as grill, outside table and hot tub. I The kitchen has a toaster, toaster oven, kuerig and regular coffee maker, etc. We hiked a couple of days and Hebron Falls is fairly close. Blowing Rock is about a 15-20 min. drive. We had a great vacation in a great house!

Awesome Weekend!

What a beautiful and spacious home to spend time with family! Highland Escape is a gem...the kitchen was well stocked, even with coffee, k-cups and tea! The common area was very light and airy as well as roomy and comfortable. We all enjoyed the decks along the back of the house with fire pit and, especially, the well kept whirlpool. The bedrooms were wonderful; comfy king beds and very clean private bathrooms. And plenty of walk-in closet space to hang clothes and store luggage. And lastly, the game room was a hit with everyone. There were games to interest all age levels. What fun we had! We cannot wait to book again. Laura and Paul were incredibly responsive and accommodating. Thank you for providing my family with a wonderful weekend.

Wonderful weekend vacation!

This was one of our best family vacations and we definitely picked the right cabin to stay in! Paul and Laura were more than top notch in their quick communication and in answering any questions that we had. The guidebook they put together had everything you would need to know in it and more. This is the first rental that provided something like that with so much detail and information. Everyone was impressed by it. :) The description and pics of their beautiful home are fantastic, but even better in person. We all had comfortable beds to sleep in with plenty of blankets and towels provided. I wish every place we stayed in was like this one. The kitchen was well supplied and the whole place was immaculate. We had the best time together and most fun in the game room. There is definitely something down there for everyone to play with. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub also....the others forgot their swimsuits so don't forget yours! We didn't utilize the tennis/pickleball courts or indoor pool, but we would next time. We had other plans for snowboarding at Beech Mountain and general sightseeing in Boone and Blowing Rock. And to top off the trip, we had beautiful snow fall on the day we were leaving. We made so many great memories that weekend. We hope to repeat this trip again and would definitely recommend this cabin to everyone! :)

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this home! The house was clean, well maintained, and exactly as described. It had everything we needed to make our family feel comfortable and at home throughout our vacation. The kitchen was well stocked, the living spaces were inviting, and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax. It was clear that the owners put a lot of thought into making sure guests have an enjoyable experience. We would gladly stay here again on a future trip!
