Wallace Lake House ligger vid Lake Lure och erbjuder enastående utsikt över bergen och sjön från däck och uteplats. Om vattnets vyer och ljud inte bära bort din stress, gå in i sjön och känna sanden mellan tårna borde göra tricket! Vattendjupet är grundt och ökar gradvis, vilket är trevligt för vadd och barn (ledsen, ingen fyrbensfamiljer).

Perfekt för familjesamlingar och rullstolsåtgång

Vägen ingången till hemmet ligger på den övre nivån av huset. Det finns en ramp till dörren och till båthuset, vilket gör det tillgängligt för familjen i rullstol.

Bekväma Living

Denna Lakefront uthyrning har alla bekvämligheter i hemmet. Denna övre nivån har tvättmaskin och torktumlare bekvämt beläget nära trappan som leder till huvudnivån. Den här nivån har också ett badrum och 4 sovrum.

Ner för trapporna är huvudnivån i denna mysiga hem. Den öppna planlösningen är perfekt för de åsikter och att tillbringa tid med familj och vänner. Om du står längst ner i trappan, är rakt fram ett rymligt, fullt utrustat kök. Till vänster är matsalen och ännu längre är vardagsrummet. På detta våningsplan finns ett annat sovrum och badrum (duschkabin-inget badkar) och soffan omvandlas till en sovande. Detta hem erbjuder också internet service, 6 TV-apparater, grundläggande kabel och spel.

Bakom soffan är en bank av stora fönster. Bara öppna mörkarna för att beundra skönheten i Lake Lure och foten av Blue Ridge Mountains.

Detta är den perfekta platsen att njuta av din morgon dryck eller att koppla ur den full sol på eftermiddagen. Om du föredrar sol, erbjuder rymliga däcket gott om alternativ. Koppla av på kajen eller på däcket ovanför båthuset.

Med områdets tempererade klimat och skönhet kan detta hem njutas under hela året. Springtime ger blomningen av dogwood och röda knoppar samt azaleor, rhododendron och berglauré. Few things can be improved

We stayed here for 2 days. It's a great location with lake view as a backyard. It's 50 years old property, area under the deck was not maintained at all. It would be great, if some kind of cleaning was performed near the Grill area under the deck.

nice time, weather aside

group of friends got together for a weekend at lake lure. unfortunately it ended up being the weekend of a fairly strong march winter storm and we lost power - but the property management company was communicative and we didn't lose power for long. has a great deck and lakeside location.

Could be great, but...

One of the other reviews had a lot of what I'm going to put here, but I want to get my review in as well. While this could be a great, secluded and beautiful vacation spot there are a few things that make the property not worth the price. Upon entry the house smells musty. There is a door upstairs made of small glass panes, one of them is broken and covered with a mini-wheats cereal box. Bunk beds are in a closet like space without a door off of one of the queen bed rooms, while there is a curtain if there is someone in the queen bed and the bunk bed, they will not have privacy. Bannister has two places where it is taped and my 2-year old nephew almost fell several times trying to go up and down the stairs. Couches are terrible, either very old or not good to start with (or both) but they need to be replaced. I am always willing to crash on a couch at a friends place and I would rather sleep on the floor than on these couches. One of the recliners is broken, footrest does not work. Stone steps leading down to the docs are falling apart, they only need a little attention. If the owners were to fix all of these things I may give the property three or four stars. It feels a lot like staying a grandmas as opposed to a nice lake vacation get away spot. I'm a nomad and don't need much, but if I'm going to pay for a vacation home, it's got to be nicer than this one.

Loved being on the water but ...

We really enjoyed staying in a house on the water. The views were beautiful and the swimming great. The neighbors were friendly. Losing power for 16 hours on our last day ( no fault of lessor or the house itself) was challenging. It was hot so we opened the windows that had screens, packed the fridge and freezer items in coolers, and headed down to the water. The view was great and we stayed in the water almost all day, every day. The kitchen has been done nicely and had everything we needed. The bathrooms were in good shape. The house was clean. However the house does need some maintenance. The smoke detectors were missing but the leasing company came immediately to replace them. The bannister in the house is broken and not reliable if you really need to use it. The seating in the living room is way past end of life. There is a broken recliner leaning against the wall. The three couches are broken down, bottomed out. They remind me of something that may have come from a garage sale. The stone steps leading down to the dock are broken and loose and need proper repair. Previous attempts at repair not holding up. Landscape down by the water is very overgrown. The swing under the house is no longer there and thats kind of my thing. The grill was not working properly so we could not use it. We brought 2 large umbrellas from home and it was a good thing. The umbrella for the deck table was broken and there was no other shade. I realize most of this is on the homeowner but the lessor needs to work with them to rectify these issues. NOTE from Carolina Properties: We have discussed these issues with the owners on several occasions and will continue our efforts to improve the quality, comfort and safety of this home.

Stunning views!! Wonderful experience!

We stayed at Wallace Lake House for a 3 day weekend, while attending a wedding at Lake Lure for our close friends from college. The whole experience was wonderful, from booking through checkout! Carolina Properties was very informative and very friendly. We had a couple questions during our stay and sent a quick text message to the number provided by the property management. She responded immediately and was so sweet and helpful! We had a great time! Wallace Lake House is so charming, very clean and the views are incredible! We truly didn't want to leave! We will be returning for an annual girls trip from now on!

Wallace Lake House

We rented the Wallace Lake House for a long 4 day weekend trip. Our experience with the rental company was not that great. We were hoping they would be more accommodating to us and were not impressed with their customer service. We had requested an early check in since no one was staying at the house prior to our arrival. We had been driving all night with 4 children and were hoping to get in sometime in the morning. The rental company representative was not understanding or accommodating in our request even though we had made it at the time of the reservation. She informed my husband that she had already scheduled her day and could not arrive earlier to give us the keys to the house. We also had a bee issue outside the house and after asking us if we had bee spray to do it ourselves (which was not available at the house), they did send an exterminator within the hour. The house was not stocked with any items such as garbage bags, dish soap/sponge, shower soap, washer detergent, etc. We have stayed in many rental properties and have always found it stocked with at least a few items to get us going until we make it to the grocery store the following day. The one roll of toilet paper that was in the bathroom was so incredibly thin and cheap it was barely useable. The house is an older house and a bit rundown, but was clean/comfortable and we did enjoy our time in it. The lake view was great and there was plenty of room for our large family. We had fun fishing and grilling out on the deck. Overall, the price was good and we enjoyed our stay. If they would put a little more TLC into the house and have a more accommodating rental company, we would consider coming back.
