There is a pool and spa available to you in the backyard. The pool is salt-water chlorinated and can heat up and cool down depending on the weather. The private heated pool has a 4-ton heat pump. The heater will be on every day from 7am - 10pm in the winter months. We will set the temperature where we feel is comfortable for the season/ weather at that time. If you have a certain temperature in mind that you would like it to be set at, you can let us know before you arrive.

PLEASE NOTE: If you bring a boat with a trailer... There is a public boat launch available for you to use that is about 1 mile from the house. Kingfish Boat Ramp.

ALSO NOTE: Use of the dock for boats, kayaks, jet skis, and any other water sports vehicle is at your own risk. We highly recommend you purchase boat/ watercraft rental insurance when renting any watercraft.

During your stay at The Blue Ark, you may see manatees and other wildlife as we are located on the only natural bayou in Anna Maria Island. Once you make your coffee, walk up to the top deck on the third floor and catch the gorgeous view of the bay and watch the sunrise.

Enjoy a meal inside or outside. The outdoor ground level dining table seats 8, while smaller dining tables are available on the second and third floor decks. The indoor dining table seats 6, with bar stools for extra seating.
The beach closest to The Blue Ark is 0.2 miles, and the Manatee public beach is 0.2 mi south of "our beach" with dining, lifeguards, volleyball, and more.

The Blue Ark comfortably accommodates 6 adults with a full size/twin combo bunk bed, and bonus room with trundle bed for kids. There are two bedroom suites on the second floor, one with a queen-sized bed, and the other with two twin xl beds that form a king bed together or pulled apart if desired. The master suite is located on the third floor with a king bed. The bunk beds and bonus room, where children can play on the video game console provided, are also on the third floor.

* Garage is currently not available for guest use.
* Depending on size, 6 cars should be able to comfortably park at this location. Anna Maria Island requires parallel parking by the road. For this house, this means that if you park on the shells next to the driveway, you need to parallel park in the direction of traffic. You can see pictures in the photos for this listing. If you drive to the beach and park there, please note that you will also need to parallel park with the direction of traffic or you will be ticketed.
* Please note - This home has a 4-ton AC unit for third floor comfort and the main 2nd floor bedroom suites come with window units (42 db noise level) allowing each person or couple the ability to set the temperature they wish. Temperatures can go into the 60s.

* The City of Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach all have noise ordinance policies in place, and they are enforced by local law enforcement and code enforcement officers. The goal of this program is not to limit your fun or vacationing experience, instead it is designed to ensure a quality stay for every guest and resident on our island. Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. The noise ordinance in Holmes Beach limits daytime noise to 65 decibels and nighttime noise, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., to 50 decibels. Exceeding the noise ordinance could result in disciplinary actions including fines and/or termination of your rental agreement without refund.
* Holmes Beach requires a minimum stay of 7 days.
* Housekeeping will provide a starter supply of toilet paper, soap, and garbage bags but guests will likely need to replenish the supply during their stay.
* Our cleaning fee includes a professional linen service. When you stay with us you can rest assured that you will have high quality linens such as those at a fine hotel. We also provide plenty of luxury bath and beach towels.
