Loved the jacuzzi tub and the back deck

We had a fantastic stay! The cabin was beautiful and well stocked. The jacuzzi tub was a wonderful surprise addition and we made sure to enjoy it even in the rain! The location was interesting for us and we enjoyed the Salmon River areas offerings. Our very easily fixed complaint was with the sheets and plastic mattress cover that kept coming off. The bed and sheets could also have been more comfortable. But this is always a feature that I feel VRBO owners should drop their good money on quality bedding. 100% of your visitors are going to sleep there! Just a suggestion. We would absolutely stay here again in the future.

A nice getaway

This cottage was nice! It was decorated cute and had the basics needed for time away from home. There were some “creature comforts” that made me miss home though, that with just a little adjustments, I’d give this rental a higher rating. I am not one to complain so please take these as just suggestions. In the bedroom, there was no where to hang or put clothes out. There was a very large papasan chair that could be replaced with a table or a clothes rack/shelf. There was also no side tables next to the bed even though there was space. It was just these tiny shelves attached to the wall that felt more of an inconvenience when I’m fumbling around in the dark. There were also too many little lights all around. In the living room space, there were maybe 8 or so light switches/fixtures to turn off/on. Also, the day bed mattress was 100 times better than the main queen mattress. The queen mattress was very loud and bouncy - it felt like one of those pullout couch mattresses and we had rough nights sleeping. Lastly, we booked this rental because of the beautiful shower which it was beautiful, but there was very very low water pressure so the shower experience wasn’t what I had hoped for. Overall, the rental provided what we needed but just didn’t offer the “home away from home” feeling you really like with rentals.

Our Winter get away

The Write up online was very accurate for this cute little cozy cabin. The heating was awesome with the fireplace and secondary forced air heating. The new shower was awesome! The only drawback was the plastic cover mattress. Overall, we had fun with our snowmobile trip.

Idylle am See

Bereits im Vorfeld haben wir von Brian genaue Informationen zum Checkin, Checkout, der Nutzung der Boote, der Feuerstelle...erhalten. Ebenso eine gute Beschreibung, wo die Hütte liegt. Bei unserer Ankunft an der Hütte Nr. 4 hat diese uns (Familie mit zwei erwachsen Kindern 25 / 20 Jahre) sofort begeistert. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail war sie dekoriert und ausgeleuchtet. Die Betten waren sehr angenehm, das Bad sehr chick. Mit viel Freude nutzten wir die beiden Abende unseres Aufenthaltes den Gasgrill. Die Umgebung ist ein Traum. Überall Chipmunks im Laub und Squirrels an den Bäumen. Auf dem See macht es unheimlich Spaß mit dem Kajak zu fahren. Wir waren zwei mal unterwegs und konnten in dem verzweigten Gebiet immer wieder was entdecken. Denn obwohl der See gar nicht so groß ist, gibt es doch einige Inseln und Biegungen zu erkunden. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Super chalet

Le chalet est vraiment super bien aménagé et très chaleureux. Nous avons profité des embarcations pour se promener sur le lac. Le seul bémol est que la plage et l'accès au lac sont directement sur le terrain et les installations d'un autre chalet se qui rend l'accès un peu gênant, mais sinon c'était super.

Perfect cabin on beautiful Autumn Lake

My family and I throughly enjoyed our 4 day stay in the cabin. My 4yr old daughter was especially fond of the giant chair in the bedroom that she claimed for her bed and the hammock chair in the living room. We enjoyed beautiful mornings and afternoons kayaking and fishing on the lake and also enjoyed a quiet rainy day lounging in the cabin. The location was great - secluded but also easy to get the highway and surrounding areas. We will definitely be back for another stay here - at either this cabin or another on property. Just beautiful!

A Serene Solo Escape at Lake Autumn's Private Cottage

My 5-day solo stay at the private cottage on Lake Autumn in Altmar, NY, was magical. While I couldn't see the lake directly from the cabin, the short walk to the water was a pleasant daily ritual. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances, though it lacked condiments and spices. Thankfully, the host provided a recommended shopping list, making it easy to stock up on essentials. I enjoyed several home-cooked dinners on the deck, basking in the tranquility. The bedroom was inviting, and the bed incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights. The location is fantastic. I took full advantage of the private dock for swimming and kayaking. The clear, refreshing water made it feel like I had the entire lake to myself. I also explored several nearby hiking trails, which offered varying levels of difficulty and stunning views. The absence of city lights made stargazing mesmerizing, and I spent my evenings reflecting under a sky full of stars. The hosts provided impeccable service, ensuring my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their hospitality made me feel at home. Overall, my stay at the private cottage on Lake Autumn was a rejuvenating retreat that exceeded my expectations. It’s perfect for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. I left feeling refreshed and am already planning my return visit. Highly recommended!

Wonderful get away!

My partner and I had an amazing time with this property. Our goal was to have a relaxing romantic getaway from city life and this checked all the boxes! It’s in a secluded property with other houses but they are pretty far away from each other. Our property was so cozy and cute, wonderfully decorated to give us a cozy atmosphere with modern touches for comfort! Plus the lake is a short walk away with a private dock and tons of kayaks to go out and explore. Seriously consider staying here or in any of the other properties on site you won’t regret it. We are definitely coming back!!!
