The Yellow Shutter Farmhouse delivered. My family and I enjoyed our stay. After hiking Old Rag Mountain, a home cooked meal and a long soak in the hot tub was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Peaceful birthday getaway

It was very quiet with a great view of the mountains and good traveling distance from all the local atrations. We loved are stay would do visit again.

What a lovely old home! We rented this house for a quick girls trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was great to relax in and star gaze after a long day of hiking. We found some great places to eat nearby so we didn't have to cook every meal. This was one of the most well stocked places we have stayed, I appreciated the house having small things like coffee filters, dish soap, hand soap and towels. The neighborhood was quiet and small and as 3 women and a teen girl we felt safe the whole time. We would definitely come stay here again and might even bring husbands so they can go fishing in the nearby river.

Short Stay at a Great Place

Wife & I had time for only a quick stop as I rotated between jobs. Shenandoah is a beautiful little town on the banks of the Shenandoah River. The house was everything it claimed to be, Beds were comfortable and the neighborhood peaceful. Would stay again.

Delightful!

We had a lovely stay at this charming home! Our Host was incredibly attentive. This farmhouse is in such a quiet, peaceful setting, but not far from JMU or the local resort. overall, just a great experience!

Really cute place! The kitchen is well-equipped, the king-sized bed is very comfy, and the hot tub on the deck was sparkling clean and SO relaxing. Lovely view of the surrounding mountains, and the location is halfway between two of the Shenandoah National Park entrance stations, so it's very convenient. One note: based on the size of the shower and the tightly-spaced upstairs bathroom, this would not be a good choice for tall visitors!

Yellow Shutters as a base for exploring the Shenandoah Area

My sister and I came to visit the Shenandoah National Park, and this quaint Yellow Shutter Oasis was just what we needed to come home to after a day of driving and hiking! Spotless and comfortable, it has all the amenities we needed to prepare our meals, the rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The hosts were super responsive to answer our questions and we felt right at home. We can only recommend staying here!

Peace of mind

Everything about this little farmhouse was perfect! Me and my family stayed for 4 nights and had zero issues. It's extremely peaceful, clean and homey. The landlord had eveythjng you could think of! Forgot the salt? No problem all the spices were there. Have a babay? There is a highchair. A dog? There was even a crate. As well as a first aid kit. Thank you for everything! We will definitely be back.

Not as advertised

The property did not reflect what was in the photos. The house is in very poor condition, full of bugs, bathrooms are extremely small and dont meet any code for size requirements and almost all of the doors inside and out jam and are almost non functional. More can be said, I will leave it at that.
