Utsikt över bergen och landsbygden är några av de bästa i området! Missa inte detta lugna, charmiga hem som ligger några minuter från din semesteraktivitet. Vi är bekvämt beläget 5 minuter från Main Street, Luray eller shoppingplatserna som ligger på väg 211.

Våra hem har:

Stort vardagsrum utrustat med en 50 "kabel-TV, läs- / spelområde.

WiFi erbjuds gratis för din användning.

Ätkök är utrustat med allt som behövs för att förbereda måltider under vistelsen plus diskmaskin. Fäst matsal har plats för 8. En Keurig med grundläggande kaffe / varm dryck leveranser tillhandahålls.

Sovrummet ligger på huvudnivån. Detta rum har en queen size-säng, smart-tv och ett privat badrum utrustat med grabbar (inte ADA-kompatibel).

På övervåningen finns två sovrum:
Sovrum 2 har en full storlek säng, garderober, byråer och TV.
Sovrum 3 har två enkelsängar, byrå och är också utrustad med TV.

En soffsoffa i full storlek är tillgänglig i vardagsrummet vid behov. Vi har också en hopfällbar säng och Pack N Play tillgängliga för din användning.

Det finns ett 2: a badrum i bottenvåningen också utrustad med gripstänger (inte ADA-kompatibel).

Det finns en tvättstuga med tvättmaskin och torktumlare. Tvättmedel och torktumlare tillhandahålls.

Alla sängkläder och badlakan tillhandahålls.

Charming and Comfortable

The Brubaker property is a charming craftsman style home that has been lovingly cared for by multiple generations. While it has 'old world' charm, it is equipped with all the modern conveniences you would expect and is immaculately clean. Melissi was very helpful with checkin and in welcoming us to the area. We look forward to a future visit.

Perfect SNP getaway

My daughter and I stayed here for a few days before Christmas to hike Shenandoah National Park. The location was perfect and the home was amazing. It was clean, had plenty of room, well stocked with supplies, easy instructions and simple check in process. When we return to the area to hike again in the future this is definitely where we will be staying. Highly recommended!!

Always wonderful

This was our third stay at the Brubaker House. It is always a great experience. Perfect in every way. Comfortable, clean, cozy, and every attention to detail. A real pleasure to enjoy. Super hostess and so kind and flexible about arrival times due to long distances. Melissi is a real asset to this property.

Annual Haunted House & Mountain Trip to Luray

We come here to The Brubaker house every year around Halloween to go to Darkwood Manor. The hosts feel more like part of our family. The setting & views of the mountains and the cows are breathtaking. The house is clean and it is unique and the host have stocked it with everything imaginable. There is plenty of room for a large family and somehow these people that own the home have made their home feel like our own. I cannot imagine ever coming to Lara again and not staying at this place. Thank you, Melissa and your family.

Comfy Cozy Home

We really enjoyed our time at the Brubaker House. We felt right at home there. Our dog who is usually a little anxious when we are away, was very comfortable also. If we stay in the area again, we will definitely be in touch with Melissa.

Cozy country home

We enjoyed our stay while visiting Shenandoah NP. We were only 15 minutes from the Thortons Gap entrance. The views from the front porch were so nice, and we saw an eagle roosting in a tree the morning we left. Melissi was very easy to communicate with. We were arriving in the evening, so she was sure to leave lights on for us so the house wouldn’t be dark. We really appreciated this.

Beautiful week at Brubaker House

We had a wonderful seven-day vacation at Brubaker House in Luray, VA. Melissi Hammer-Moyer was a fabulous property manager. She was in touch several times prior to our stay, and then met us at Brubaker House upon arrival. Melissi gave us a tour of the home, and shared its interesting family history. Her hospitality made all the difference in what turned out to be a rainy week! Despite the damp weather, we had a fantastic experience. We spent two days relaxing at the house and enjoying the view from its front porch (gorgeous!). We took day trips to Skyline Drive, Luray Caverns, Belle Grove Plantation, and James Madison's Montpelier. We ate delicious dinners at Ollie Cat Cafe and The Speakeasy at Mimslyn Inn, both in Luray, and then fixed our own dinners in the house's well-stocked country kitchen. In summary, it was a memorable and relaxing week. We thank Melissi for making our stay so comfortable and highly recommend Brubaker House. We definitely plan to return in the future!

A throwback to the 70's

The house was clean and dog friendly! The house was what I remembered from my parents house from 1970's, wood paneling, pink bathroom tiling etc. But it did the job for me. The two A/C units, one for each floor, was a nice touch. Thanks!

Little Getaway

My family took a few days to visit Luray area and had a great time! The home owner greeted us when we got there and was very friendly and even told us some history about the house which was neat. We enjoyed the house and the property. The views were very pretty and we enjoyed hanging out on the front porch. We visited the Luray Caverns while there too and they were really neat.

Comfort

Our stay was wonderful. The whole place had a comfortable charming quality like being at Grandma's and living your worries behind. The house was clean and its location to the attractions and town was great it was not far but in a quiet beautiful neighborhood where we could enjoy the mountains!

Pleasant Stay

The house was as listed and had everything needed for our stay. Beautiful views from the front porch. The host was very responsive and was able to accommodate our request for early check in. Of note, 2 bedrooms are on the 2nd level, but the only bathrooms are on the 1st level.

Above and beyond

This place was amazing it was so cozy and a bonus was the screened porch to eat breakfast! I wanted to make French toast one morning and didn't think to bring cinnamon on our trip and was so pleasantly surprised to find some in the pantry! Rarely give such glowing reviews but this place really exceeded my expectations :)

Brubaker House

This property was a delight to stay in. The home was clean and bery comfortable. All of the beds were comfortable and clean. The home atmosphere was so nice to come home to. The home is well stocked and every need was met. We have another stay coming in October and we are excited to stay here again. Our daughter and her family live 2 miles away so it is so convenient for our visits. We will schedule to stay here if the home is available for our future visits. Thank you so much!!!

Clean, comfortable and fantastic view!

We had a fantastic 2 weeks in this house. Old décor but well equipped, very clean and bed so comfortable. We enjoyed our little coffees on the terrace with a view of the mountains. Close to everything, for biking and only 20 minutes from Skyline Drive. We loved our stay.

Quaint and very welcoming

Truly enjoyed the quaint and welcoming atmosphere of this home. The views of the mountains from the front porch are truly amazing. The house is equipped with everything you need to cook and for everyone to spread out. 5 min from Luray Caverns and to town. Only issue we had was trying to navigate all the light switches to figure out which was which.

The Brubaker House is located on land that has been in the owner's family for several generations. Originally built by Eugene & Christine Brubaker, it is adjacent to the grandparent's homeplace. The home is in close proximity to the Shenandoah river, mountain hikes, Luray Caverns, and downtown activities. The owner of the property, Jean Moyer is a local artist who loves to capture the beauty of the area that she was raised in and wants to share that experience with you!
